• Location, location, location! Guest rooms are large, clean and attractive.
• Did not find anything I did not like.

• We were billed for mini bar items, but we never even unlocked it.

“From the smiling bell staff to the ice water laced with orange slices that greets you in the lobby, this hotel is elegant in every respect. Without being stuffy, the staff is attentive and friendly. The amenities are superb, right down to the fresh fruit in the fitness room. Within the rooms, the high thread count sheets are comfortable and luxurious. The furniture is tasteful, and the rooms have excellent light.”

“The hotel exceeded expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room service was very tasty some of the best room service that I have ever had. The entire stay was great, and I only wished that we could have stayed longer.”

• I loved the convenience.
• I think that the rooms are two dark and gloomy. I believe that the hotel needs to do some renovations to brighten up the overall feel of the hotel.

“The staff was excellent and I love the convenient location. The hotel needs to do some upgrades to modernize the hotel. Atmosphere is more conducive for business purpose not leisure.”

“This is always my choice if I am in Atlanta. It is convenient to great restaurants, as well as, being hooked onto Lenox mall. The concierge staff is always accommodating and goes out of their way for us.”

• I always prefer a lobby coffee service that is not Starbuck's.

“My stay was very short but I did get a chance to check out the pool and it was nice. It appeared that other were nice as well. Parking was a little pricy. The parking garage and elevators were a little confusing.”

• The rooms were comfortable.
• The hotel was not family friendly. There were no vending machines and they charge for use of internet.

“I could not believe that a hotel that cost this much per night would charge for use of the internet. I also could not believe there were no vending machines. The only place to buy a soft drink was from the bar and they had no cups to go, only glasses. I feel we could have gotten more for our money at a Holiday Inn.”

• Compares to a Ritz Carlton in many ways. The staff is well-trained and amenities are excellent.
• Nothing - I will return there when possible.

“I believe I have said it all. It is almost like staying at the Ritz. The staff is well-trained, the amenities are wonderful, the rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is perfectly located. In addition the hotel has a complimentary car to drop you off and pick you up at your meeting (within a 3mile radius).”

• It is beautifully maintained and amply staffed.
• There is not anything I didn't like about this hotel.

“This hotel is very centrally located (the Marta from the airport and to the downtown area is located across the street). The Lenox Mall and ample dining in the immediate vicinity makes this hotel a "must stay" location. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and all of your needs will be addressed by placing only one phone call to the front desk.”

• The lady bartender was pleasant.
• The bathrooms and in-room seating were not as nice as Intercontinental Buck head. Also nightlife and general atmosphere much less lively.

“There was nothing wrong with the hotel. We have been spoiled by the Intercontinental Buck head, which we have gotten several times and have always enjoyed our room and the hotel public areas, which include a lively piano bar and a lot of activity. The IB also has a good restaurant and is closer to a variety of other restaurants as well as to Lenox Square. JW Marriott was a nice hotel, but the bathrooms were not deluxe like the Intercontinental, and the atmosphere was generally sleepy. Also signage to hotel parking if entering from Lenox Road was non-existent or not good. Staff was pleasant; room was clean, beds comfortable. Just seemed to lack pizzazz.”

• Very comfortable beds and well equipped fitness center.
• No continental breakfast.

“This hotel is very conveniently located in Buckhead across from MARTA station, so you can easily access other areas of Atlanta. Hotel has very plush beds with down comforters and lots of padding and pillows. Fitness center was very well equipped - all cardio machines have their own TV. Only disappointment was that breakfast was not included with stay. The hotel is attached to the Lenox mall, so it was very easy to find breakfast within the mall.”

• This hotel was very posh. The room had deluxe bedding and towels.
• To sell park, it was a bit inconvenient going into the parking garage. Also steep price for parking.

“We stayed at the JW for a Saturday night. Checked in, no problems. Took the Marta to the Fox theatre to see Alice Kraus. Ate at Silk for dinner. Delicious. Hotel was very easy and convenient to do this. Room was upscale. Great bed. Concierge was helpful, giving us details to get to the Fox and told us how they are very strict and not to be late. That saved us. But she also tried to do the usual steering to an expensive restaurant even after we said we wanted casual. Next morning, checked out.”

• The beds were old and needed replacing and the gym was a typical hotel gym.

“Both beds in my room sunk in the middle and were very uncomfortable. I think they were old and needed replacing. The gym was just a typical hotel gym but was better than nothing. Overall the staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. For the price I paid it was worth it.”

“This hotel is very convenient to fine dining and shopping. It's also right across from the MARTA station which provides convenience but can also be annoying due to the noise. This is a comfortable hotel and the staff is helpful but it is a step down from the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel.”

• Excellent staff, attentive to every detail, even bellman knew details about the hotel.
• Location near Buckhead lends to loud guests coming in late at night.

“The staff and hotel was excellent. From the bellman that greeted us to the very quick check in, we were in our room on the 12th floor minutes after arriving. The bellman gave us the 60 second tour and rundown and was very knowledgeable about the hotel. Our experience was ruined by guests returning and being extremely loud at 5am (on a Sunday night), though this was not the fault of the hotel. Overall, a great experience.”

• The restaurant in the hotel was in an area being remodeled so it was not very desirable.

• The staff were phenomenal -great interactions, manners, etc.
• The walls between rooms were very thin. Didn't like my neighbors' wake up calls!

“Elegant, clean, upscale hotel with many services and amenities that make business travel easy-such as the quick coffee/bagel shop in the lobby. Highly convenient (next door to a Marta station) and the large mall on the other side of the property is accessible through the lobby.”

• The hotel is well located, excellent fitness center and pool, lovely lobby and rooms.

“Everything about our stay at the JW Marriott was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. The lobby and grounds were attractive and well-maintained. The guestrooms and baths were surprisingly spacious, even with two young children. The fitness center was among the most spacious, clean and well-equipped that I have used in any hotel of similar class. The location of the hotel makes it easy to get around the city without a car. The Marta station is just across the street and the hotel is connected to the famous Lenox Square Mall. The upscale Phipps Plaza is within walking distance as are many of Atlanta's finest restaurants. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others.”

“The JW Marriott Buckhead is a nice 4 star hotel. It is older and showing its age, but is nice none the less. They do want to charge extra for things that should be included like parking and internet. I would stay here again.”

• Too much money for parking. Both self and valet were extremely expensive.

“Our stay was overall very nice. The only negative thing we have to say is that the parking was very expensive, and we had no choice but to pay the fee.”

• Clean and comfortable room, great fitness facility and great pool and hot tub.
• No free WiFi. Two different charges for internet service in the room and in the lobby area. I did not like that.

“My family and I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions and will continue to stay for the accommodations, location and amenities. This is a fantastic hotel for family and business alike. Though I don't like the internet access, everything else about the hotel is worth the hassle.”
