- The parking area and the exterior of the hotel was dirty and under reconstruction.

- The room was very nice.
- No cable first night - Hotel was under major renovation.
“This will no doubt be a very nice hotel when it is finished. At the moment you check in in a side hallway and the common spaces, exterior and halls are worn out. The staff had a hard time checking me in and I had one very nice person and one very untrained and grumpy person to deal with. Once in the room it was VERY nice thought the shower pipe sprayed it was fixed very quickly and the TV had nothing but snow for the first night. Again, this will be a VERY nice place eventually. Right now it's a bit of a mess.”

- It was the only room left in Atlanta!
- A suite was really just two adjoining rooms. It was awkward.
“The hotel was clean and provided exceptional service on a very busy night. Between college football games and in-house weddings, the staff was outstanding. The room was clean and recently renovated. We were told that we would be in a suite and were too tired to question the single room that we found.”

- Nicer than expected, right across from mall and many other convenient shops.
- Parking fee if you decided to park on hotel property; outside looks bad due to construction.

Staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations & directions. Only about 5 minutes from downtown Atlanta and the Cheesecake Factory!”

- There was not a TV remote in the room, need more valets for parking.
“Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were nice and bed was great. There is a charge for parking of $15 a day (8/30/08). Across from Lenox Mall. Hotel is in some remodeling stages but didn't effect us in any way. Would suggest don't have a room on lower floor near valet parking because I could hear people talking the next morning.”

- Everything on our floor had been remodeled and was brand new.
- The rooms need to more sound proof.

- Great hotel for the money. Great location to central Buckhead, upscale shopping and business.
- Older hotel that needs a quality detail makeover.
“Have stayed in hotel 3 times. Always enjoy convenience of location and friendly staff. Noticing more and more hotel needs a detail makeover/upgrade. Maybe just the 5th floor or our room this time around, but paint jobs sloppy, doors in ill repair with major gaps at bottom causing hallway noise to enter room. Windows not sealed properly allowing outside traffic and air handler noise to enter room. Lamps bent or not tightened down, air system not functioning as it should. Overall, for a hotel in this location with this branding, there should be a bit more attention to detail. Don't want to see it go down hill.”

- Maintenance finally came to unclog the bathtub drain on the last night of our stay.
“It's time for this property to undergo an upgrade. It's not a dump, mind you, but you can see it's about that time. We checked into the hotel on Friday, and from that evening, we asked repeatedly for someone to come unclog the bathtub. It didn't happen until Sunday night. We left Monday morning.”

- Front Desk staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
- Facilities could probably use some renovations.
“Great location, front desk staff went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied. And Example: when asked what time we had to be out by (we had a morning commitment and an evening flight) I said that we would like to have use of the room until noon. He said that he could have the room until 3PM.”

- Hotel has two buildings, convention center building is sub par.
- Pealing wall paper, broken baseboard, and long wait for hot water.
“The hotel is broken down into two buildings, the room tower and convention center. The room tower appeared to be acceptable, but the convention tower rooms are sub par, at best. If the hotel is overbooked, prepaid travelers are given these rooms, which are not in keeping with pealing wallpaper, broken trim, sticking doors, and a 5 minute wait for hot water. If I were to book directly with Sheraton, I would not accept a room in the convention center. As a pre paid traveler, I had no choice and little recourse to the situation.”

- We asked for a king sized bed but got two full sized beds.
“The hotel was okay. Our room was on the garden level that smelled awful. The door to the patio would not open. And our reservation was for a king room and we ended up in a room with two full size beds. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who was looking for a romantic getaway.”

“Sheraton or Star wood properties need to take a look at this one. In need of love. Tremendous TLC. Hair in showers, water supply short, several mistakes on checking in, parking situation not organized, food is awful, personnel inexperienced, shouted my room number across the lobby to the supposed valet. Beds and linens old, with holes, lumpy, lamp shades broken. All in all very disappointing. I will not stay at this location again.”

“The Sheraton Atlanta was good for the price I paid and its convenient location. However, I was expecting little more amenities for the star level and was disappointed. You had to call down to the front desk and go through a process to pay for internet in your room. There was no pay per view available on the television. I would stay here again but I would realize that my decision would be for convenience to Lenox and midtown Atlanta only.”

- The only thing good was the location.
- There was black mold in my room which made me ill, the hotel was under some kind of construction, and smelled like mildew or water damage.
“I would not rate this as 3 star hotel until it has been updated and the water damage has been dealt with properly. The first room I was in smelled like the cheap motels I stayed in as a teenager. There was a water leak and black mold. The next room, several floors up did not smell any better and the door had to be slammed shut and forced open every time you come and go. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was descent, the lobby looks nice and the rooms looked descent but a little outdated. I would not recommend this hotel unless the rating was changed to 1 or 2 star and the price was adjusted accordingly.”

- Did not have free continental breakfast, small rooms, charged for local calls, 15 20 $ to park.
“It was okay. If the room charge did not add on a service charge and tax I would have rated higher. I could have stayed at embassy suites for a little more and gotten free cooked to order breakfast and managers reception everyday.”

- Excellent, the best restaurant we have ever been to.

“We have never had such a good meal at a restaurant. We used to go to Applebee's and for the same price or less (ours was less) we received a top quality meal. The grilled shrimp were huge compared to the puny ones you receive from Applebee's. The food was the best from any restaurant we have ever had, and the wait staff was always very attentive and very nice flat out the best service ever.”

- I tipped their driver $20 to get me tourist pamphlets and he didn't.

- It was close to the mall.
- It was dirty. Dust was on the wall it had not been vacuumed the carpet was nasty. Trash under the bed. It smelled.
“This is the only time I have been disappointed. The hotel room was not cleaned. I complained but the said they were going to remodel next month. That has nothing to do with being clean. Staff was not efficient checking us in. I gave them a list of thing that needed to be done. I hope I did not get bed bugs.”

- It was located next to the Lenox mall!
- The staff was awful and they tried to charge for services I didnt receive.
“This is my second stay at the Sheraton hotel. The first time was very pleasant and the staff was very courteous. However, my most recent visit was awful, the rooms were very neat and clean but the staff was awful and not helpful at all. They even tried to charge us for room service we couldnt have ordered. I will not be returning to this location again!”

- Older hotel, needs updates.
“Hard to complain about a cheap stay in bulkhead and the service at this hotel was great. When I checked in I told the guy at the front desk that I was enjoying a long weekend alone to relax, he upgraded my room to the club level (free breakfast) and gave me $35 credit on my room. The workout room has more equipment than most and the equipment is good quality. My room was less than ideal. The carpet felt dirty. The air was on but the thermostat wasn't working so I was very grateful for lots of covers. The bathtub drains slowly and I dislike showering with water around my ankles. Parking is $15/day. Wireless is free in the lobby but at a fee in the rooms. Despite my complaints, Id stay here again because of the price/location/service.”

“The overall experience was very good. The kids loved the pool and fountains. There were a few great restaurants within walking distance. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly when I was able to speak with them. They were very busy, and a little understaffed.”

- The registration staff at check-in (a+)!
- Parking is too expensive and inconvenient to accessing the hotel!

- The shuttle service to area attractions is a great idea.
- We had to kill a large cockroach and a spider on our second night and couldnt sleep after that!
