• The staff was nice and very helpful. Everything was very clean and the area seemed very safe.
• They advertise high-speed internet yet charge for it when it's complimentary with other hotels.

“There isn't complimentary wireless Internet access and I was a little disappointed there wasn't a workout facility or pool. I think parking should be less expensive for being an overnight guest at the hotel as well.”

“As this area completes its construction, it is even more appealing to stay at. It is convenient with lots of amenities nearby malls, restaurants, etc. The central location in Atlanta is a plus for me. Parking however, has gotten expensive $25 per night.”

“The staff was courteous and comped our parking for a horrible night. Noisy neighbors kept me up from 130-330 A.M. Phone didn't work so I had to call front desk on my cell to ask them to have neighbors quieted. They did, and I was finally able to get to sleep. Walls are paper thin-heard everything-yes, everything-neighbors were doing. (Creepy.) We paid to sleep in a business meeting room with a sofa bed-very disappointing to be sleeping on a sofa bed. (Didn't realize that was even an option.) I definitely don't think this hotel is worth. I would much rather pay more for a nicer place and get a good night's sleep.”

“Extremely nice hotel and staff. Nearby construction was impossible not to interrupt sleep. I suspect the hotel put us in the known noisy room. They accommodated our request for a room/floor change and put us over the entry where cars were coming and going all night.”

• The staff was extremely polite and helpful. I can't say enough good things about their level of customer care at every level!
• There was a lot of construction surrounding the hotel, although on the weekend there was no noise associated with it.

“The staff was very helpful, from the Valet at the front to the house engineer at 3:00 in the morning when the AC would not come on (it was the wireless thermostat that was the problem, not the unit itself). We were prepared to drive to dinner and the hotel shuttle driver approached us and insisted we use the shuttle, then recommended an excellent restaurant (when asked), and took us in and picked us up with a genuine red-carpet attitude! We were three females in a town; we knew nothing about and all of us felt very safe and cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel for leisure and business travelers in any situation, it's location in Buckhead, across from the Lenox Mall, is also an excellent starting point to enjoy the area.”

“My wife and I stayed there for a long weekend trip. It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere for leisure. Location was great and surrounded by major attractions and dining places. We just wished that internet access and parking were included in the hotel room rate. Hotel staff was friendly.”

• It felt very clean. The bed was absolutely the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in!
• Did not know about the parking fee of 20$/night. And it was a non-smoking room, but someone had been smoking in it.

“I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. Parking is not as convenient as I would like. And paying 20$ a night to park is a bit steep for anyone. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very helpful.”

• I liked the overall attractiveness of the hotel.
• I hate when you have to pay to get on the internet. Very hard to locate.

“It took me and my fiancé a long time to find this hotel, but the hotel is very nice. A free snack was given to us when we arrived, and my car was valet park. [25 bucks + 10 tips] This would be a once every 5 year type of visit.”

“From the beginning, I was lost, operator stayed on the phone until I got to the hotel. Receptionist was very friendly and happy. They even drove me and picked me up to a nearby restaurant. Everybody seemed to go overboard on service and I greatly appreciated it!”

• Terrible TV channel selections; cracked lavatory in bathroom, noisy; could hear anything said in hall.

“The Doubletree Hotel on Peachtree is an excellent place to stay in Atlanta. It was clean, convenient to Buckhead Area, convenient to GA400, and easily accessible. It is not located on Peachtree although it has a Peachtree address. We drove up and down Peachtree for about 20 minutes, could find addresses of the adjoining structures, and then finally realized it was behind a huge office building on a side-street. It is not actually on Peachtree. Once we found it, it was quite pleasurable. Great breakfast in the restaurant, not free as most establishments now offer breakfasts!”

• No room internet service unless you pay 9.95, you can get monthly service for that price!

“I was very disappointed because we only stay at hotels that have free wireless service. When we get there you can only use the password if it's in a package or pay $9.95. Then to top it off you have to come all the way down to the lobby to use their computer. Parking was pretty bad too!”

• I liked where it was located. There is a grocery very near and it is very near dining.
• There was construction going on directly behind our room. There was no inexpensive parking available. No indoor pool onsite.

• The bed. Comfy pillows and comforter. It was just like sleeping at home.
• You have to pay for parking.

“How can you go wrong with a hotel that welcomes you with a cookie? This hotel exceeded my expectations with their friendly, welcoming staff and clean cozy room. The bedding was top of the line. I felt like I was sleeping at home in my own bed.”

• Parking in the deck wasn't validated so I had to pay $20 for parking.

“Ok, upscale hotel. Restaurant service was bad (server never gave me my menu, or came to take my drink order until I asked) but at least the people were friendly. Room was clean and it was what I expected, nothing more, nothing less. Satellite signal for the TV was horrible though, channels kept freezing.”

• Trouble with television - unable to view TV during stay. Construction in area was noisy.

“Overall, very clean and comfortable rooms. There is construction in the area and it was very noisy early in the morning. There was difficulty with the satellite transmission, so television was not getting a signal during stay. Dining room was clean, but food was less than expected for price. Staff was pleasant.”

• No swimming pool.

“Nice hotel, clean, new. Great welcome chocolate chip cookie. Good location. But be sure you get a room away from the elevator. The dinging bell and people congregating and talking by the elevator was a little loud in my room, which was opposite the elevator.”

• The most comfortable hotel beds ever!
• The price for parking is high.

“I always love to stay at this hotel, this is my fourth time and will continue to stay here when ever I am in town. Friendly, clean, an overall great hotel. The parking is expensive and should be mentioned to customers in advance so they are prepared for paying for it. The warm cookies at check in are a delicious bonus!”

• Room was clean and nicely furnished, great linens and towels.
• Expensive and inconvenient parking, but maybe this is typical for this area.

“Parking was $20 per day and not connected to the hotel, you had to pay extra for valet or walk to the nearby parking garage. Housekeeping cleaned the room next to ours around midnight and repeatedly slammed the door disturbing our sleep. The guests for that room arrived at 6:00 AM and also repeatedly slammed the door. The next night we received several phone calls to our room from someone, I think it was the people in the room next door because I complained to them about their door slamming. I unplugged the phones after the 4th or 5th call. Rooms were nice and clean and we were able to get a non-smoking room. The king size bed seemed short and I'm only 5'5".”

• Noisy, near construction, not able to open curtains due to construction.

“Small, basic, cramped. I was originally put in a room right by the elevators and the ice machine. It was unbelievably noisy. Even when my room was changed, the construction directly next to the hotel was just as noisy. This hotel would be fine for teens or college students who could sleep through anything.”

• Very nice bathroom and soap/shampoo brand.
• Our room was over the main entrance and we could smell smoke all night.

“Very nice hotel, nice staff, but the room we had was right over the main entrance and we had to smell people's smoke through our heater (we turned it off and threw a blanket over it to block the vents) I would recommend getting a carton station however, Noggin or Disney, something for kids to watch.”

• The parking lot was inconvenient and expensive.

“This hotel was nice. They told me to "go left" out of the building to get to the parking garage, which was quite a meandering hike with no cover which would have been awful if it had been raining. That is a rip-off, even in Atlanta. I bet valet parking would have been cheaper and certainly more convenient. However, the bellhops were very friendly and helpful in comparison to the front desk people.”

• Wonderful room with comfortable bed- good staff too!
• Parking was not included and expensive at $20-25 a day.

“This Doubletree Hotel is in the heart of the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta and is close to all sorts of services and transportation. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient- though the hotel could use a mild update in decor. The only negative factor would be the outrageous daily parking fee of $20 to self park and $26 to valet park. All things accounted for- this is a reasonable place to stay in this rather upscale neighborhood on the North side of Atlanta.”

“The Double Tree in Atlanta was clean and very friendly. I arrived very late after a very long drive for the annual Groundhog's Day Juggling Festival. Only a few dollars more than the motels suggested by the juggler's club and rated significantly better. However, I was informed at check-in that I would also have a $20/day parking fee added to my room adding a hefty charge for my savings. Usually, this is not a problem, and likely the result of being in a large city, but it was a rude surprise after 5 hours on the road in the dark, since we didn't use any hotel facilities other than the bed,”
