• Location, lobby, bar and garden area.
• No whirlpool, restaurant did not serve dinner, keys to room did not work well (had them made twice).

“Front staff was excellent,lobby area was very relaxing, enjoyed the garden area, and the room was roomy and bed comfortable, disappointed that restaurant did not serve dinner and that there was no whirlpool. Had the key to the room made twice and had trouble with it both times.”

• Nice property and gardens. Comfortable but not fancy.
• Bathroom was only 2-3 star. outdated and cheap with tub and fixtures..

“Nice weekend getaway at a great price. Best sleep I've had in a hotel in a while. Bathroom less than 4 star, quality and parking was expensive at $30, but knew that coming in. Very convenient for shopping and eating.”

• The location was perfect & within walking distance of great food and shopping.
• The parking was pricey but still not bad for te services provided.

“I definitely don't want to stay anywhere else. From the friendly staff to the concierge to the cleaning service I was very impressed. I live the big bathroom and the too size. The bed was very comfortable. The Japanese garden and waterfall is beautiful and relaxing and the restaurant menu was fabulous.”

• The hotel staff was excellent. Friendly and always willing to go that extra mile to help. Very clean and beautiful room.

“We loved our stay at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. The hotel is located near great resturants and shopping. It is also very close to the MARTA. Atlanta is such a beautiful city.”

• The staff was WONDERFUL!! Exterior of hotel met the expectations of GRAND!
• Problem with cleanliness of bed upon arrival but staff upgraded and apologized!

“Atmosphere of the hotel was based more on business than pleasure. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic over unclean linens on bed upon arrival! Upgraded our party and changed rooms
but the bad tone of the hotel had already been established!”

“I met a friend from out of town to stay in Buckhead. The hotel room was as much nicer than I remembered it being the first time staying there. We had a King room at the end of the building, maybe those rooms are larger. The parking situation is a little strange, for $20 you can self park in a garage across the street. We were looking forward to taking advantage of the pool amenity. We both thought the pool didn't seem like one you would have at a 4 star hotel. Didn't like the Blue Surfacing, seemed cheap looking. If you like sun bathing before noon, well there isn't any sun, the building blocks that out. So that was disappointing on our last day with minimal time to enjoy the pool and sun. Although I didn't get to utilize the women’s spa amenities, I loved that there was a steam room. The fitness center was huge with a lot of nice equipment. We asked for an extension to check out. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and accommodating. They have Starbucks coffee for sale downstairs and that was a plus! Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again.”

• The Japanese Garden, pool, exercise facility, and spacious room.
• No handicap parking. Self parking was $20 day.

“The drain in the tub was very slow. I discovered this while standing in ankle deep water while showering. Called O. Two maintenance workers came to snake the drain. No different the following day. I was absolutely shocked to learn there were no handicap parking spaces! Self parking was $20 per day and the parking deck was downhill over a block away.”

“Overall, this was a great place to stay. Convenient to lots of restaurants and shopping. But, the room this time wasn't up to par. There were a few things falling apart in the room, the remote control to the TV didn't work, used tea bag left in the coffee machine.”

• The room was extremely nice. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom.

“The hotel accommodation were very nice. Everything we experienced at the hotel was nice and enjoyable. However, the hotel was hosting an old school party while we were there. The lobby was over crowded. We could barely get through the door and once we did we had to push our way through the people waiting in line just to get to the elevators to get to our room. It was a little ridiculous.”

• The hotel would not quiet their other guests when we asked them too! It was awful!

“The location is good. The $20/day parking is ridiculous! The room was OK. The last night we stayed there was horrible! There was a party in one of the banquet rooms downstairs and about 11:30 that night they all seem to come up to the 21st floor where we were staying. They had security come up one time and that was all.”

• Clean upscale, safe location, friendly people, and
  well decorated rooms.

“Safe and easy self parking, would totally recommend over valet. Great place, clean, beautiful and a shuttle which will take you 2 miles away, like to the Cheesecake Factory, which was wonderful. Midtown seems to be the new place in Atlanta but Buckhead has less bars which is nice. Would highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful experience.”

  expected at up scale motels.

• Self-parking garage is detached from hotel so a slight walk outside to garage.

• The Japanese Garden was nice and the view was ok.
• The towels and comforter had major spots on them.

“The pillows where hard. The bed sheets kept coming loose. Bad service at the Onyx. No fan in the bathroom.

“This former grand property is in serious need of an upgrade; guest rooms are showing wear and there is an overwhelming smell of use/mustiness/smoke throughout the hotel, particularly strong in the guest rooms. This hotel is not deserving of its 4 star without a renovation.”

• The beds were great!
• I called for an extra blanket and never got it and the location of parking lot is horrible.

“The lobby of this hotel is very chic. The room was a little outdated but the bed was extremely comfortable. I was not at all happy about paying for parking in light of the location and condition of the parking lot. The parking lot was detached from the hotel, down a hill that is difficult to navigate with luggage, and not very safe at night. To their credit I saw a security officer walking in the lot on my first night but not on the second night. Housekeeping was also lacking. The room was a little cold and the bed was only covered by sheets. I called down for a blanket and it was never delivered. Although I saw the housekeeper when I left in the morning and told her that I would not be back, my room was not cleaned until after 2 and the housekeeper did not replace or clean the glasses that I used the night before. That was a bit surprising for a four star hotel. Finally, the business center charged a fee for the Internet and a per page printing charge. That seemed excessive in a four star hotel that charges top dollar for the accommodations.”
