• The Japanese garden wasn't open, at least the door wasn't open on Sunday - disappointment.

• Free courtesy shuttle to anywhere in Buck head in sport utility vehicle with knowledgeable drivers.
• $17 a day for self parking!

“Nice place with very friendly and helpful staff right in the mix at Buck head. Walking distance to any kind of dining and nightlife you like (free shuttle if you don't want to walk). Super view from either side of the building.”

• Air temp was hot in room. Hard to cool down.

“Excellent location and staff. Only thing I did not like was that the air temp in room was too warm. Even though we turned the temp down, it never seemed to cool off. Other than that it was perfect.”

• Lovely room, friendly and caring employees, good food.
• Lack of pre set-up for HY tea was disappointing, Extra charge for parking.

“Would stay here again. Hotel and staff excellent. Exception would be lounge for HY tea only. Would expect with reservation that there would be some preset of table; wiped down and napkin, utensils in place. Food and presentation lovely.”

• The staff were amazing, from the doorman to leaving the hotel. Service was excellent.
• The air conditioning wasn't working properly in our room. They came to adjust it, but it never got below 80 degrees. We slept on top of the blankets.

“Overall, it was a good stay. Excellent service from their staff. The only thing was the temperature in the room never got below 80 degrees, even after they came to adjust it.”

• Beds were not comfortable at all.

“I frequently stay at 3.5/4 star hotels and mostly look forward to the great night comfortable sleep. However, this bed was mediocre. The bedding was okay but the comfort of the bed was not satisfactory nor up to par with what we are used to. Hotel is nice though, but comfort is most important for leisure stays.”

• Nice entrance/lounge. Great pillows and sheets. Overall, staff was courteous and prompt.
• The separate parking garage with no covered walkway to hotel.

“I really enjoyed the room and service. I wish I had time to check out the Japanese gardens. They may have been better served in the lobby area. My two main concerns were the soundproofing and parking. Being on the 14th floor, outside noise was not really audible. However, I could hear almost every word my neighbors uttered, as well as elevators and doors all down the hall. The separate parking garage down the hill was strange and definitely inconvenient as there were nonstop thunderstorms during my stay. Also, since the area is not exactly pedestrian friendly, it was expensive and a hassle to have to pay every time I had to take the car out.”

• Construction in rear made it difficult to walk to attractions.

“Was a nice romantic getaway. You will need to take the shuttle or drive if you want to go to Lenox Mall. There is construction behind the hotel and it's too dark to walk through at night (but I did.) Nice and clean. Not loud.”

“This hotel was just gorgeous. The parking was very expensive at $17/24 hours, but the hotel itself was great. They were friendly and helpful. I did have to wait for 1.5 hours to receive a champagne bucket and ice from the restaurant, but that was minor.”

• Style of hotel, bedding and bathrooms.
• Housekeeping missing trail of candy around bed and live cockroach in room.

“Nice upscale style hotel. Rooms were very nice however they need to improve on their housekeeping. I would say 98% of staff was friendly and helpful however the other 2% were awful. Hyatt has yet to return any type of response I had to issue of live cockroach found in room and poor service. Also when considering this hotel calculate $17.00/day parking.”

• Hotel decors (room and public areas) was excellent.
• Self-parking cost $17.

“Very nice hotel. The public areas were especially well furnished. The rooms were nicely furnished, as well, with a large marble bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Workout area was well equipped. Only negative was that self-parking cost $17, but this is normal for the Buckhead area of Atlanta.”

• Every member of the staff was cheerful and helpful.
• This hotel was a nightmare for someone with allergies. Awful deodorizer was sprayed everywhere.

“I would not stay in this hotel again because of the chemical deodorizer that permeated the place. My daughter asked as we entered the lobby, "Why does it smell?" In our room a maid must have left the large spray bottle labeled "Juniper anti-odorant" and "Warning: eye and skin irritant." That odor, along with potpourri (didn't that go out in the 90's?), led to a constant allergy headache. Since the windows were sealed shut, the room could not be aired out. Otherwise the hotel would be great. Families should note the pool is only open "in season." Yummy breakfast restaurant, "Flying Biscuit Cafe", is right next door.”

• Location, grandeur, cleanliness, comfort.
• Cost of parking ($17 for self parking) is ridiculous for a paying traveler.

“Grand hotel, gorgeous room with fine details to pamper and comfort the traveler. Towels, pillows and linens (including bathrobes) were all premier quality! We were on the 19th floor which afforded us a fabulous view of the city of Buckhead, and distant view of Stone Mountain.”

“The rooms were nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The lounge was nicely decorated and comfortable. I didn't eat at the restaurant because I was on business, but I was told the food was wonderful if pricey. I did have a few drinks in the lounge, and it was very pricey, but enjoyable. The parking was not great. You could self park for $17.00 per night, but would have to walk at least 5 minutes to the hotel. Valet, which I did, was $24.00 per night. The location is excellent and close to everything you could want. I would stay at the Grand Hyatt again.”

• Room furnishings needed replacement; bathroom was dirty upon arrival.

“I was disappointed with the quality of the hotel. It was not a "4-star" hotel in my experience. The carpet in the room was stained and there was an unpleasant odor in the room. The bathroom was not overly clean - after check in I had to call to have housekeeping come and reclean it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was excellent.”

• Great location and high quality accommodations.
• 2 loud parties till 2am. Valet parking full upon return 1 night. Not asked about mini-bar option.

“This hotel is in a great spot in Bulkhead with lots of shopping, bars, and restaurants nearby. The hotel actually hosted 2 parties the nights I stayed that appeared to be weekly events. I stayed on the 5th floor and could hear the music in my room till they ended at 2am. I was traveling with my wife and daughter so the parties were a nuisance trying to get a 7yr old to sleep. However, it would have been perfect if it had just been the wife and I. I would stay here again, but would check on the events scheduled for my stay or get a room on the 8th floor or above. Also Atlanta is still in a drought so the pool is closed until further notice.”

• Workout facility is nice.
• It's nice but very expensive. No free internet, parking is expensive.

“Most people were nice but the concierge and front desk girl, young, blonde thing an attitude. Room was small, TV was small, internet in room was $10/day and they forced me to valet park, then charged me for 3 days of parking even though I was only there for less than 48 hrs. They did deduct the third day of parking from the bill but they tried to over-charge me--intentionally. I will never stay at this hotel again and I plan to e-mail my colleagues and warn them as they had planned a company event.”

• I was extremely impressed with the amenities. The room was huge compared to other 4 and 5-star hotels I've stayed at.
• Nothing against the hotel itself, but there was a lot of construction in the area surrounding the hotel.

• Large party atmosphere on weekends, drunk neighbors.
