“Nice vintage hotel, good view from my room, clean and comfortable bed. The gym was great.” Sep 30, 2009 by
Crsitina from Longwood,FL
“Hotel had a great location. Parking was extra. Room was OK, probably given to us because we paid through another route. I would think the other rooms were much nicer. Had a small kitchen, but no cutlery or dishes. Nothing in the drawers. Bedding was very nice. Housekeeping "missed" our room, so we had to ask for extra towels.” Sep 14, 2009 by
Andy from Bethlehem,GA
“I love this hotel, great location and awesome experience.” Sep 8, 2009 by
Albert from Ashland,MA
“The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the lobby, gym, and pool were extremely nice looking and new. Unfortunately, while the room was clean, it was not in good condition. I would never recommend this hotel to any one due to the room I was in, having peeling paint, faded wallpaper, and damaged furniture. The blinds were broken and the curtains did not close. The public areas were 3.5 stars; the room was only 2 stars at best.” Aug 19, 2009 by
Justin from Knoxville,TN
“The room was absolutely immaculate. A beautiful living room with a large flat screen television, a kitchen and a large bedroom! The bedroom was even round in shape which was great for the six large windows that overlooked the city. The bedroom even had a large flat screen television. Very nice! The rooftop pool really gave way to some spectacular views.” Aug 4, 2009 by
Tina from Greenville,SC
“The Georgian Terrace is a nice hotel and boasts a great location and nice sized rooms. However, the parking is horrible and very costly. In addition, the rooms were dated and the beds were not the best. Overall, it is a nice place to stay. The customer service is so-so. The staff was not rude but they certainly do go out of their way either. I will probably choose a more modern hotel if I visit again.” Jul 12, 2009 by
Gabe from Tuscaloosa,AL
“We were completely surprised when the room had a full kitchen, extra room and washer and dryer. This hotel is right in the middle of downtown across from the Fox Theater and convenient to all downtown attractions. Perfect for the business traveler or tourist. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is the furnishings are a little run down, with the exception of the bed which was well furnished and comfortable.” Jul 7, 2009 by
Jennifer from Dowling Park F,FL
“I was not pleased at the overall expense of the hotel.” Jun 25, 2009 by
John from Isle Of Palms,SC
“Lovely renovation elegant common areas and restaurant etc.” Jun 5, 2009 by
Arlene from Huntsville,AL
“The Georgian Terrace was beautiful. It gave a sense a security. The staff was friendly and very helpful.” May 31, 2009 by
Dianne from Tucson,AZ
“This is a beautiful and historic building, with a lovely lobby and extremely helpful staff. However, the condition of the room we stayed in required repair and some structural updating. The decor was lovely, and the rooms well-apportioned (the in-room washer and dryer was a plus!), but the blinds were broken and bent, and more than one door/trim pieces were visibly broken. It's a lovely building and the rooftop pool is striking, but more attention needs to be paid to maintenance.” May 7, 2009 by
Walter from Tampa,FL “Great value for your dollar. Spacious rooms, attractive ambiance, great staff.” May 5, 2009 by
Helen from Orlando,FL
“From check-in to check-out we were treated with the utmost courtesy. Very friendly and helpful staff with a concierge who is unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. It was a great stay!” Apr 27, 2009 by
Tommy from Los Angeles,CA
“Huge apartment like rooms. I had an extra bedroom and kitchen and laundry in room. Staff friendly. Great workout room. Cool old place.” Apr 23, 2009 by
Jazmyne from Mcdonough,GA
“Very nice place for romance or business. The TV was as big as the room. The pool wasn't even usable because of construction which they should have given a discount for. Parking was too high and should have been complimentary. But the staff was great and it has the most beautiful view.” Mar 29, 2009 by
Richard from Okahumpka,FL
“Hotel has full kitchen but no plates or cooking utensils. Suites are nice. Very noisy because of construction.” Mar 12, 2009 by
Mary Jane from Cincinnati,OH
“Hotel lobby under construction. Staff at desk was Mar 8, 2009 by
Joe from Millington,TN
“Good room, great beds. Overwhelmed desk staff, horrible customer service. The TV's in the room are new flat screens, but inexplicably only receive fuzzy analog cable stations! A $10 antenna would give them several crystal clear, free digital HD channels. Only 2 small elevators in service and lobby are all torn up. Had to deal with loud noises and flying debris every time I passed through the lobby. I really think I could like this hotel if the lobby wasn't under construction and the staff was more helpful. The BEST thing is the location, with the Fox Theater and a great 24-hour diner right across the street.” Feb 27, 2009 by
Claude from Montreal,Canada “Valet parking is very inconvenient, time consuming and expensive. The hotel is nice and room nicely appointed. Staff friendly and polite” Feb 2, 2009 by
Ed from Cincinnati,OH
“Very nice hotel with nice, spacious suites. Nice location too.” Dec 24, 2008 by
Natalie from Ellenwood,GA
“The room was so small and dated, I felt like I was in a tuna can. I asked for a better room and they provided me, which was much larger, however, was still very dated.” Dec 16, 2008 by
Sue from Camillus,NY
“The Georgian Terrace was a beautiful hotel, very impressive first impression, almost. The front desk all but ignored us, even though there were 4 people. The room was very nice, comfortable and was very large. The only downfall, was parking on a sidestreet for a short time (Garage was expensive considering we were guests) the car window was broken and laptop stolen. Did not know it was a high drug area just a block away.” Dec 16, 2008 by
Kendall from Newnan,GA
“I think the georgian is a great hoptel. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.” Dec 14, 2008 by
Margaret from Athens,GA
“Excellent price. Hotel was beautiful, had an incredible gym in the Penthouse. Room service and restaurant were excellent. All employees were friendly and helpful. Beds were great. Had a suite with kitchen and washer and dryer. Highly recommend. Would stay there again tomorrow if I could.” Dec 1, 2008 by
Gregg from Slc,UT
“The Georgian Terrace is excellent in all of these areas. The room I had was clean and comfortable. As with any hotel property, there were maintenance issues that I considered to be minor. Overall, my stay at the Georgian Terrace was very comfortable and enjoyable. I look forward to returning and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Atlanta area.” Nov 30, 2008 by
Brian from Saluda,NC
“The hotel is close to several different attractions and is one block from the Marta and it will take you just about anywhere. The bellmen are all awesome! Enjoyed our time there. The rooms need to be upgraded, but the view from the rooftop pool at nice is amazing. Overall a good time.” Nov 22, 2008 by
Bill from Dallas,TX
“Surprising suite, excellent size, good view of area - need better window treatments, especially in master bedroom- just a mini-blind on windows and not in good shape- seemed tacky compared to quality of total experience- same in second bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff.” Nov 5, 2008 by
Dalia
“Great hotel in general and the location was fantastic. The room was small though but since I was staying for one night it didn't matter. Complementary internet connection is great. Very busy though and the line to check in took forever. Some other guests were really weird in behavior but since I was alone didn't really matter. Staff was very friendly.” Nov 1, 2008 by

“I visited the hotel with my partner for two nights to see the Musical Wicked. First impressions were good and check-in staff was helpful, however, the problems started when we got to our room. The furniture was worn out and the appliance in the kitchens and the in room laundry were disgusting. There was leftover food in the oven that smelled like it was there for days, stained carpet, wholes in the doors, scuff marks on the wall and just generally dirty and this was a corner three room suite. The next night we were asked to move, which we were happy to do because the room was so bad, the second room in the newer part of the hotel was much better but the interaction with the front desk was horrible, no apology or anything about the food in the oven and sent of the room and transferred me to a call center to handle the change of rooms who transferred me back to the front desk who hung up on me. Everything was okay once we moved rooms but the experience will prevent me from ever going back to this once famous Landmark Atlanta hotel.” Nov 1, 2008 by

“A great location (close to shops/restaurants) plus a huge nicely furnished 1 bedroom suite with separate, bedroom, bathroom, living/dining room and large fully equipped kitchen. Full-sized washer and dryer was a pleasant surprise as was free internet access.” Oct 30, 2008 by

“Hotel has a long history and we really enjoyed our stay and any uncomfortable events are easy to overlook due to the age of this hotel.” Oct 27, 2008 by

“The hotel is in a great location for the Fox Theatre. The staff was friendly although the front desk person was a little cold at first. The windows in our room would not close all the way so the wind made a lot of noise throughout the night.” Oct 22, 2008 by

“We live in Atlanta and try to get away from home without going out of town. We have stayed here three times and find this hotel very inconsistent in the quality of the rooms.” Oct 20, 2008 by

“Would not recommend this hotel Oct 12, 2008 by

“The room had only one small bed (possibly a full size). The hotel would not bring a roll away. Most staff was nice; the valet service was extremely poor and disrespectful to us.” Oct 11, 2008 by

“The Georgian Terrace Hotel is a charming hotel in a historic Atlanta building. The staff is among the most courteous I have ever experienced - Southern hospitality at its finest! The hotel is conveniently located in mid-town Atlanta within a short distance of many Atlanta attractions. There are a variety of restaurants nearby ranging from coffee shops to elegant dining. I would definitely recommend the Georgian Terrace to other travelers visiting Atlanta whether on business or leisure travel.” Sep 30, 2008 by

“Great hotel.” Sep 29, 2008 by

“I am not sure who they are trying to attract, with upscale lobby, great location, nice big bed, but who needs a full kitchen and huge walk in closet in their regular spaced hotel room? Too much wasted space that could have been used for more guest sleeping/relaxing area. Very weird. The hallway to the room was dirty and stained but the room was fine.

“The room that I stay was roomy. I was very impressed with the size.” Sep 16, 2008 by

“The lobby looks great but when you get upstairs you are surprised by the old wall paper, the old smell, the dirty corners and the blinds that are broken. The appliances need upgrading and the TV is old and small.

“The location and the feel of the hotel were great. It was definitely a 3 star and I was happy with the price. The staff was not very friendly at the hotel restaurant so that put a bad taste in my mouth. The rooms were very spacious.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Loren from Apopka, FL
“The hotel itself was beautiful, but the room that they put us in was really small, definitely did not meet the expectations of a 3 star hotel. They moved us to a bigger room that was amazing.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Chris from Columbus, OH
“Everything about my stay was a disappointment, except the price. The first room was a tiny corner room. It had no internet. After troubleshooting with the hotel's service provider for an hour, they ultimately concluded it was a hotel issue and to call the hotel engineer. Ultimately I had to change rooms. Second room was a converted closet. No lie. The room next to it was still in use as one! This meant that the next morning there was nonstop door slamming for an early morning wake up call. This room did have internet, it just took a while to find the wire connection conveniently located behind the headboard of the bed. My hope for a relaxing shower were dashed--no hot water. I couldn't even have a soothing cocktail. There were no glasses, just plastic cups (which I didn't think were used by 3-star hotels). Next morning, still no hot water! Complained to front desk and asked if I was doing it correctly! Huge hassles and long delays with the valet as they don't accept calls to bring cars around in advance. Invited a flight attendant friend over to confirm that I wasn't over-reacting. Confirmed that this was not close to a 3-star property. On check-out I informed the disinterested clerk of the cumulative problems with my experience. Was told that that were remodeling--including new mattresses and drapes. None of my rooms were remodeled. This may have been a grand hotel once but they have let it slide into the sloppy category.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Kay from Augusta, GA
“When I pulled up, the parking attendant was rude. They did not attempt to provide any level of customer service. The ceiling in the bathroom was water damaged and looked terrible. It came with a kitchen, but they wanted to charge to get pots, pans or silverware to use. That's like providing a bed and charging for linen! I felt nickel and dime at every turn.” Sep 4, 2008 by
T-Money from Antioch, TN
“Standard room is extremely small. Peachtree is very busy and you can hear any and everything outside from cars to conversations. I asked to be moved was told hotel was at capacity.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Ryan from Cahrlotte, NC
“The Georgian Terrace was a nice historic hotel located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. The problem was that we never saw the inside of the room as they were overbooked and sent us to the Wyndham several blocks away. We arrived at The Georgian Terrace early, around 1pm. They informed us that our room was being cleaned, and would not be ready until 3pm. After checking our bags, we walked down the street and had lunch and a few drinks. We walked back to The Georgia Terrace around 3:30 pm, and were shocked to see a line of about 30 disgruntle people. It was obvious that the hotel was overbooked, some people were being turned away. Since we had already checked in, we were not worried about our room. After waiting in line for over an hour (probably close to 2 hrs,) the front desk attendant informs us that they do not have a room for us and suggested the Wyndham down the street. The Wyndham was old, dirty, rundown, and further from Midtown Atl. It had obviously just been taken over by Wyndham since the it was marked with a temporary cloth sign draped over the entrance way. It was awful. We were never compensated for the inconvenience, the parking fees incurred at both hotels, or the downgrade in the room itself.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Christopher from Trussville, AL
“The hotel is beautiful from the outside and lobby, but the room was barely big enough to walk in. The valet service was $25/day and there is no other place to park.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Ellen from Loganville, GA
“This experience was a disaster for such a short trip. There was an hour wait to check in with no explanation as to why. The staff was rude and unfriendly. Apparently, the hotel had been overbooked. I needed 2 beds in my room and this hotel only has one in each room. I could go on and on about how horrible this experience was. I would not stay there again.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Rob from Birmingham, AL
“This is very nice hotel with fine guest rooms, especially the suites. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.” Sep 3, 2008 by

“They had to send us to somewhere else, not even a star hotel I think!”
