• The architecture and overall lobby presence is very nice.
• No parking available. Bellmen were unfriendly.

“While I was disappointed by not having any parking options (basically, they told me to park down the street in public parking garage), the hotel was nice and I was happy with the overall value of my stay.”

• Spacious lobby, bars and restaurants right inside.
• Drinks were pricey.

“The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, though we did see a discarded sock under the chair in the corner of the room! The linens were upscale and beds quite comfortable. Great atmosphere.”

• Great views, with the design of the hotel, it was a destination to itself.
• Service in restaurant and bar was atrocious. Don't eat or get drink there. Location poor.

“Nice hotel in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Walking distance to CNN, the aquarium and Coca Cola. The hotel design is gorgeous looking up inside is fantastic. Service was awful in the Pulse bar and Sear restaurant. Had to wait over a half hour to get a drink at Pulse bar and the Sear Restaurant brought the wrong order and told us they'd have to cook a new order. They charged for the higher priced order until we spoke to the manager. The food at Sear was bland and unimaginative. Weather was so bad with power out in Buckhead that we felt compelled to eat in hotel. Big mistake. The pool is okay. Heated which was nice. Hotel seemed empty but it's so big and expansive it just probably felt that way. Nice hotel but will stay in Buckhead next time.”

• Beautiful restaurants/bars, great entryway and location.
• Rooms were adequate, but nothing special. Small bathrooms, trouble accessing pool and fitness room.

“Very impressive entryway and lobby, excellent restaurants and bars. Surprised to see so many children when the hotel seemed quite upscale and more for romantic partners or business travelers. Good looking rooms with very lush and comfy bed.”

• The location is ideal for downtown attractions, rooms have great views.
• The hotel parking is expensive.

“The Marriott Marquis is a great property, with a very customer service oriented staff. The location is ideal for the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Phillips Arena, and many other downtown attractions. The king bedroom we stayed in was on the 41st floor with a great view. The room was spacious and well appointed, and the lobby/atrium is very inviting. Although the valet parking is very convenient, it is expensive and mandatory.”

“Very nice hotel, but geared towards the business traveler with an expense account. Parking was atrociously expensive (should have been comp. for hotel guests) and they charged a daily rate for Internet access - regardless of whether you used it in the hotel common areas or your room.”

• Visually attractive, great location, very competent staff.
• TV didn't work properly, although staff quickly repaired it.

“The Marriott Marquis enjoys a great location in downtown Atlanta, close to a myriad of dining and shopping experiences. Service is excellent. My wife had a bad cold and was inquired about going to the steam room and she was treated very well by the staff. She felt much better after her experience there.”

“Nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Very classy and beautiful. My 13 year old son loved the glass elevator rides as we soared to our room on the 46th floor. The view of downtown Atlanta from our room was breathtaking. The only downside was the service in the sports bar. Maybe because of the presence of my 13 year old son, but I could not get a waitress to bring me a beer, I had to go to the bar myself twice.”

• The pillows were comfy, the location was great, style.
• No main room light switch (afraid of dark, had to walk to lamp).

• Nice sheets.
• $26.00 for parking.

“The Marriott Marquis was fantastic! The room was clean, minus the ice bucket still had the liner and water in it from previous guest, the sheets and bed were very comfy and the overall stay was very pleasant. My only beef with this hotel is the $26.00 for parking despite being an overnight guest.”

• The architecture was amazing. Room service was fast.
  
• The cleaning staff woke me up early and just came in while I was in the room.
  

“Great appeal, nice staff. A limited room service menu with quick delivery. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. Be sure to lock your door from the inside or the cleaning lady will be in first thing in the morning.”

• Excellent location.
• Expensive charges for Internet access and for parkinig.

“A large hotel with impressive interior atrium. Convenient location to CNN, Olympic Park, Coca Cola, Old Underground and restaurants. Surrounding parking lots are considerably less expensive than the hotel parking. Charges $14 from noon to noon internet and unlimited domestic phone. However, check in is 4 PM and checkout is 11 AM. I was surprised that a 4 star hotel does not include this service considering their price for a room.”

• The customer service was horrible.

“We had to wait 45 minutes for our car to be brought around, and 25 minutes the next day. My husband lost his room key. And we ran out of toilet paper!”

• Very friendly staff, very clean and well located.

“We checked in later than expected and there was a large crowd checking in at the same the time. The staff works with everyone to make the process quick and painless as possible. They did an outstanding job! Room was immaculate. You could not ask for a better location in the downtown area of Atlanta.”

• When pulling up to the front entrance taxi's were blocking my view so I had to go around several blocks to get back to the hotel.

• The remodel job was great! The hotel looks great and the retractable ceiling pool was wonderful!
• The gift shop was insanely overpriced! I walked the 8 blocks to Walgreen's.

“Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was just remodeled and it looks great in the rooms. You can tell its an older hotel from the layout. I was a little bit upset about the gift shop being insanely overpriced. I know they're always a little bit jacked up but 4.50 for a beer is overboard-for that I'd expect someone to carry it to my room and pour it for me!”

• The room service staff was very helpful and friendly.
• They could not find our car and the parking manager was extremely rude!

“Fantastic view, plenty of amenities, great room service. The bathroom is not as nice as comparable hotels in Atlanta. Be prepared for a hassle if you park your car with the hotel! They could not find our car and the parking manager was extremely rude. It left us with a bad taste after a good night.”

• The room was not as large as anticipated. The beds were too small, doubles instead of queens.

• Great location. Great lobby!
• Not a huge fan of Duvees or feather down. But a lot of people are.

“This hotel is fabulous, but the daily valet cost is 26 dollars. I just went to the lot next door, found a space that I figured no one would park in, (like one really remote), then paid $8 per day. It is an extra 100 yards and I would have waited longer for the valet to retrieve my car. Lobby is awesome, elevators and check-in is fast. Room is clean, but too many down pillows. Too frilly for my taste. But I could live with it. I'm sure it is a selling point for others. Clean and professional hotel!”

• Put in room 1st time not ready/was told breakfast was $13.95 buffet at check out was $22.00.

“Staff was very friendly, helpful concierge, just all staff at desk doesn't know prices for restaurant and server didn't know prices, price on menu was not right price we asked server. Bed room view, great pool was not open.”

• Great downtown location, comfortable rooms, Starbucks on site, helpful people.
• Layout of hotel was rather awkward - hard to get on elevators, find ice, etc.

“The rooms were very comfortable - great beds. It is located right downtown - great for going out to eat, near attractions like Underground Atlanta and Turner Field. There are many food/drink choices in the lobby, including Starbucks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again!”

• The inside was very beautiful. Our room was small but the view of the city was almost worth it!
• For being a 4 star hotel our room was rather small, bathroom was tiny.

“Like I said, the inside lobby area is huge an just amazing to look at. The elevators go so high you can hardly see it when it's up top an my ears popped going up 2 my room each time! lol! The bathroom was microscopic! The view however was amazing! Almost worth the small room with huge floor 2 ceiling windows looking over downtown at night. I live here, just wanted to stay with my girl 2 get away for a night. Overall it was worth it. Not great or amazing but a lot of fun was had that night!”
