- When pulling up to the front entrance taxi's were blocking my view so I had to go around several blocks to get back to the hotel.

- The staff could not be better. The room was beautiful.
- Not easy to get to vending.

- The remodel job was great! The hotel looks great and the retractable ceiling pool was wonderful!
- The gift shop was insanely overpriced! I walked the 8 blocks to Walgreen's.
“Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was just remodeled and it looks great in the rooms. You can tell its an older hotel from the layout. I was a little bit upset about the gift shop being insanely overpriced. I know they're always a little bit jacked up but 4.50 for a beer is overboard-for that I'd expect someone to carry it to my room and pour it for me!”

- The room service staff was very helpful and friendly.
- They could not find our car and the parking manager was extremely rude!
“Fantastic view, plenty of amenities, great room service. The bathroom is not as nice as comparable hotels in Atlanta. Be prepared for a hassle if you park your car with the hotel! They could not find our car and the parking manager was extremely rude. It left us with a bad taste after a good night.”

- The room was not as large as anticipated. The beds were too small, doubles instead of queens.

- Great location. Great lobby!
- Not a huge fan of Duvees or feather down. But a lot of people are.
“This hotel is fabulous, but the daily valet cost is 26 dollars. I just went to the lot next door, found a space that I figured no one would park in, (like one really remote), then paid $8 per day. It is an extra 100 yards and I would have waited longer for the valet to retrieve my car. Lobby is awesome, elevators and check-in is fast. Room is clean, but too many down pillows. Too frilly for my taste. But I could live with it. I'm sure it is a selling point for others. Clean and professional hotel!”

- Great downtown location, comfortable rooms, Starbucks on site, helpful people.
- Layout of hotel was rather awkward - hard to get on elevators, find ice, etc.

- The inside was very beautiful. Our room was small but the view of the city was almost worth it!
- For being a 4 star hotel our room was rather small, bathroom was tiny.
“Like I said, the inside lobby area is huge an just amazing to look at. The elevators go so high you can hardly see it when it's up top an my ears popped going up 2 my room each time! lol! The bathroom was microscopic! The view however was amazing! Almost worth the small room with huge floor 2 ceiling windows looking over downtown at night. I live here, just wanted to stay with my girl 2 get away for a night. Overall it was worth it. Not great or amazing but a lot of fun was had that night!”

- Great location within just a few blocks of GA Aquarium and World of Coke. Many restaurants nearby.
- Extremely small bathrooms. Hard for two people to be at the same time.

- The updated decor was great!
- Valet parking drop-off area chaotic, unappealing entrance.

- Convenient Location, although much more than 4 blocks to Aquarium.
- Dirty bathroom, light out in bathroom, not 4 star quality.
“We stayed in this hotel during a vacation to Atlanta. Another site rates this hotel as 3 stars, and this is much more appropriate. The hotel lobby and other public facilities are much nicer than the actual room. Large hair ball under sink, and light out in the bathroom. I have never given a poor rating, but this is not 4 star qualities!”

- My young son loved the glass elevator rides to our room on the 35th floor.
- The hotel pool was closed for renovation. Dirty room windows obscured nice view.
“The hotel design was beautiful with the open atrium lobby. The staff was very helpful and quick to respond to any request. The hotel restaurant we dined at did not have an extensive child's menu but the child's breakfast buffet was free. We had a short walk through the lobby and connecting bridge to the MARTA train station but had to walk at least 3 blocks to get to the popular Downtown attractions (Coca-Cola museum, Children's museum, Aquarium.). Not a bad distance for adults but tiring for a 2 year old!”

- The location and the restaurants.
- Would have not selected this hotel if I knew that the pool area was closed. This was a weekend getaway for my husband and I and we enjoy swimming.

- We were awakening early morning by remodeling construction. It was annoying and disrupted our sleep.

- Elevators were crowded, had to wait.
“This was for our 10th wedding anniversary. The front desk upgraded us at no charge to a gorgeous suite with a fantastic view. The bellman made a point to show us all the sights visible from our 40th floor windows. The doormen were quick to get us cabs. Room service staff was quick and pleasant, even when busy. The general decor of the hotel was contemporary and luxurious. Overall it was an amazing stay.”

- Front desk was very helpful, beautiful hotel, a lot of lounging areas in the lobbies.
- Everything closed around 11, there was no where to get a drink or snack, etc after that time which is very inconvenient for people that stay up late.
“This was a very beautiful hotel and the staff was extremely helpful at the front desk. I was disappointed that the restaurants closed so early. People were coming and going all night and there weren't even vending machines available let alone a restaurant. The area was scary. We had several homeless men approach us. I wish there would have been security outside keeping them from the hotel. Other than that, it was a great experience and I will use this hotel in the future.”

- Not crazy about the 'valet only' parking.
“Well designed hotel, very pleasing to the eye. The interior alone is enough to make us come back. The staff was professional, intelligent, and quick. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but we did eat at a restaurant called 'Pacific Rim' next door which was probably the best restaurant I have been to in the last 5 years (including restaurants I have experienced in Italy, France, and Spain).”

- I loved the layout of the lobby and the convenience to everything in Downtown.
- I didn't care for the parking arrangements. It wasn't true valet service but the fee surely was!

- The staff was professional and the elevators were quick.
- This hotel accommodates many groups of high school students. Valet parking is required and the valets are not prompt with retrieving cars.
“The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is not a four star hotel. It accommodates large groups and conferences and therefore is noisy and crowded-not luxurious. We were frustrated that high school students were congregated in the hallways blocking access to our room. Its not a dorm and the Marriott should not allow groups of children to stay at a business oriented location. The only service that is of a four star quality is the fitness center which is brand new.”

- The hotel was very modern, rooms were nice, bed was very comfortable, bathroom super clean, staff friendly for the most part.
- I didn't like having to pay so much to park, $24/day?
“I would stay at this hotel again if I had some things planned I wanted to do downtown I could walk to. If I was just looking for somewhere to stay in Atlanta and location didn't matter I'd pick a hotel in a better neighborhood.”

- The location was great, and the staff was great.
- The additional fees were annoying. I can understand paying $24 a night for parking, but the $13 internet fee per night was ridiculous.
“Paying for internet use was really disappointing, and we had some sour towels in the room which was a surprise. The hotel sports bar was nice though, and I got an excellent mojitos.”

“Employees were not attentive in restaurants and bars. Waited at both once and left because no service. Deposit for incidentals still not returned 13 days later. Not able to use pool, spa or steam room due to remodeling.”

- Wonderful amenities.
- Slow valet parking.
“This hotel was amazing. The rooms were spacious and expertly appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The restaurants located inside the hotel were very good.”

- The view was amazing and the room was very spacious.
- The carpet in the room is outdated and I think we should have an option as to whether we want to Valet park or not.
“The view was great! I was on the 36th floor. The location was convenient to everything. The room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, and whatever I asked for I received and they double-checked that I received it promptly. The decor in the room is outdated, carpet, but other than that the stay was fantastic.”
