- The hotel is very close to the hockey arena, aquarium, and other attractions.
- Shower walls need to be cleaned better. There was a hair on the wall.
“I enjoyed my stay at the Westin. Check-in was quick and easy. The concierge was helpful in providing directions to local attractions. I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again.”

- Nasty, moldy, dirty, old, stench, parking cost too much.
“I will never stay at this hotel again, nor will I refer any friends or relatives. The sheets and pillow cases were stained; bed skirt was very dirty, mold in the window seals and bathroom floor, stained furniture, very dirty carpet. The corners had spider webs in them. The ice machine spit out black stuff (mold) in the ice. In-room coffee pot was dirty. Parking was crazy expensive. This hotel is in a great location, but it is not worth. Years ago, this hotel was very upscale.”

- The hotel did not have a 24 hour dining facility on premises unlike others in the area.
“The hotel service and even appearance were excellent for having been hit by a tornado the day before our arrival. It appeared that they recovered from some moderate damage fairly quickly and went about business as usual.”

- Everyone was helpful and friendly.
- Older carpet some furniture was worn.
“My daughter and I visited Atlanta and stayed at this hotel two days after the tornado went through Downtown. This was a Downtown hotel that was affected by the severe weather and due to this most of the amenities usually available to guests were not available. Windows were blown out forcing closure of the restaurant, pool, many of the common areas because our room was non-refundable we went anyway and were disappointed that much of what we wanted to do, we couldn't.”

“My wife and I stayed at the Westin Peachtree the weekend after the hotel was damaged by a tornado. The hotel was undergoing repair, which led to two inconveniences. First, an elevator was out-of service, leading to a long wait in the lobby. Second, repair work was being done in the early morning hours (before 6 am). Our only other complaint was that the registration desk was not fully staffed at checkout. We stood in line for more than 20 minutes. However, I am willing to attribute these problems to the storm damage.”

- Outstanding views of Downtown Atlanta!
- Room very dated with well worn furniture.
“The hotel was recovering from a recent tornado. Several streets were blocked off which made getting into the hotel very challenging. Huge chucks of glass were being thrown from the upper floors hitting the windows on the way down causing loud bangs to the glass. I thought the glass was going to break every time it was hit. Very disconcerting. But, late in the evening when the construction finally stopped the amazing views made up for it.”

- Small blue velvet sofa with a stain on it.
“The hotel was great even though we had a tornado during our stay and had to down stairs, we enjoyed the hotel. Broken glasses was a big concern and we were limited as to where we could go in the hotel. The Skyline Restaurant was closed and we were looking so forward to having dinner there.”

“The lobby was attractive, but the customer service agents were not attentive (waited for 5 minutes to check-in though there were 2 seemingly unoccupied CSR's). When directions to the parking garage were requested, the CSR suggested that I park elsewhere because the detour directions were tedious. So it was not impossible to navigate, just too much for her to describe. My room preferences were met, but once in the room I realized that the only decent/clean area was the bed. The loveseat facing the window was stained with what looked like semen. The bathroom counter was sticky. The walls had peeling paint. The desk was water-logged. The TV was antiquated. In summation the hotel was a far cry from any other Westin I've ever visited. Renovations should have happened ages ago.”

- Unsafe, no amenities available, unpleasant staff.
“It was post hurricane and they lied to us and told us everything was ok, it was not. the cafe was closed as was the pool and workout room. The streets were closed due to falling glass, it has the most damage of all downtown hotels and they still let us stay there and after we checked out it was on the news that it was deemed unsafe finally and they are not allowing people to stay at it.”

- The elevators took way to long and the parking garage.

- The registration staff tried to be helpful.
- The vacuum cleaning of the room was haphazard.
“They attempted to meet my preferences for which I am grateful. But, the room had no actual closet and the area for hanging clothing was intended for a person in a wheelchair (I guess) as the clothing rack was open and only half as tall as usual - my suit pants had to be folded over on the hangar as opposed to hanging straight down.”

- Location to convention center. Shuttle service.
- Food from in room service left out in hallways for over 12 hours before being picked up.
“Location was ideal if need to get to convention center (it's a short walk). The hallways to the room were very narrow and seems dark. Left over food trays were out in the hallways from when I left early in the morning to my return late at night. I'm normally not that picky, but the room decor just seemed dated and did not appear very clean. I would have been very upset if I had paid the full rate.”

- Heat, TV remote, Shower knob, all broke. Dirty carpet, mildew in bathroom.
“The individual rooms need to be renovated. The premier Sun Dial Restaurant and Bar has large glass panes that have lost their vacuum and are clouded. Other guests are openly complaining about the same things.”

- The bedding and the shower head.
- My room wasn't as clean as I expected. Stains on the carpet and couch and leftover soap in the shower.

- I liked the view.
- It was extremely run down and dated.
“The Westin has fallen from the 4 star level dramatically. There was a food cart left outside our door for 24 hours with trash all over it then moved to elevator lobby. The cab stand could not get us a cab so we had to go to the street ourselves to hail a cab. And the front door on Peachtree street was not welcoming with only a hobo standing inside the glass doors to escape the cold.”

- Excellent location, within walking distance to many attractions.
- Restaurants a little pricey.
“Very attentive staff. I contacted manager regarding our concerns after reading some reviews. He addressed our concerns and we had a great stay, great room. It exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in an excellent location right across the street from a Marta station (which is highly recommended), within walking distance to CNN, Georgia Aquarium, Coca Cola World, Phillips Arena and Georgia Dome, and a short Marta/shuttle ride away from Turner Field. The restaurants were a little more than what we'd want to spend, though good food. I would stay at the Westin Peachtree again.”

- The view, workout facility and pool.
- Expensive parking.
“This hotel is due for a room renovation. I understand this is taking place shortly. Other than that, property is very clean, service is excellent and the views are spectacular. I would definitely stay at this property again.”

- Great view.
- No good restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel is not very good (we have eaten there in the past).
“The lobby and public spaces are very attractive and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant (Sundail) in the hotel has a wonderful view but only mediocre food for the price. All guest rooms have great views of the city. The hallways were very loud at night outside of the guestrooms.”

- The beds were comfortable and the down comforters were great.
- The common areas and room furniture needed updating.
“The view was great. We stayed on the 61st floor. Easy access to some great restaurants and other downtown venues which were within walking distance.”

- Comfortable bed.
- Shower broken, carpet very dirty looking and stained.
“There was no mention that there was no free parking available. Shower knob was broken and the carpet was much stained and looked dirty. The bed was very comfortable. Overall I would give it 3 to 3.5 stars.”

- It was downtown and had a good view.
- $16 internet connection charge, $22 + tip parking, room not 3 star quality.
