• Location and breakfast.
• The bed was too soft - old, old mattress.

“I had a problem with a lost article of clothing and on day three of the problem, I spoke to the manager who had an attitude problem about helping me. ultimately, the hotel reimbursed me for the article. I had to make many phone calls to get to resolution.”

• The hotel employees were extremely friendly and helpful.

“This was a very charming brick hotel in an older neighborhood. There were several good restaurants within walking distance, which the hotel staff were happy to direct us to. The hotel staff were extremely plesant and helpful.”

• Friendly Staff - nice breakfast and Mon-Thurs there is even complimentary dinner. That Rocks!
• Paying $15 for parking and it was located next to an adult video store.

“Loved the staff, food was good, clean room and common areas. Staff upgraded my room from studio to one bedroom. I didn't expect that because at the time I had contacted them they did not have a one bedroom available. nice that they accommodated my needs anyway”

• I liked that the room was like a little apartment; it had plenty of utensils and a dishwasher.
• I couldn't get the ice maker in the fridge to work.

“I had driven to Atlanta from west palm beach Fl. to find out the concert I drove there to see was cancelled, and so when I arrived at the hotel I was distraught and very tired. The hotel and room felt welcoming and comfortable. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was friendly and helpful. As much as I just wanted to be home the service I received there made me feel at ease. I would stay there again.”

• The breakfast was outstanding, the staff was very friendly, and the room was clean.
• Not all the facilities in the room worked well.

“I didn't report these problems because I felt like we had been given that room on purpose. Other than that, it was a beautifully kept older hotel. They had a first class full breakfast and the staff was very friendly. We paid $15 per night for parking, but in downtown Atlanta, that's not bad. We liked that it was self parking and we could go in and out as many times as we wished.”

• Beautiful facility, very friendly & accommodating staff, convenient.
• It was wonderful. It would have been nice to have a computer in the lobby for folks who did not bring theirs.

“The Residence Inn Midtown Atlanta is an excellent place to stay. It is clean and attractive and set up for just about anything a traveler would need. Full kitchens, wonderful breakfast included desk/work areas in the rooms. Very convenient to the downtown area and Crawford Long and Piedmont Hospitals. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!”

• Great location.

“Older building, with small rooms. They are trying to keep the property up but it's tending a little bit more towards the shabby side than the charming side.”

• The continental breakfast.
• The night clerk didn't know directions to hotel.

“The hotel did not look anything like on the internet. So I was very much unhappy with that. My room didn't have the sofa as shown on the internet.”

“Have stayed here before, which is why I returned. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean. The Midtown location is great, only a short walk to restaurants, bars and Piedmont park.”

• Excellent location, quality and service for the price.
• Daily valet parking fees not expected.

“Wonderful hotel. I was originally supposed to stay at the other Residence Inn nearby but got moved to this one due to plumbing issues at the original one. It was great but I was never informed about the parking fees until I got there. I am working with them to recoup these fees as they told me I would not be charged. Great in every other way. Loved it.”

“I really enjoyed this hotel, normally in Atlanta I end up at hotels with valet parking only and I do not like that at all, so it was nice to be able to self park. Although parking did cost, and wasn't secure at least it was self. The hotel is older but I really did enjoy it.”

• Clerk who checked me in was curt, not very courteous.

“For location, you can't beat this hotel. In a historic part of Midtown, both the hip Buck head area and downtown Atlanta are nearby. A full breakfast was served with waffles, eggs, bacon, and good old Southern grits, in addition to the usual Continental muffins, cereal and dough nuts. My room had a mini-kitchen with toaster, microwave and full-sized refrigerator. The French doors lead out to a balcony with a nice view of the ATL. However, if you like a great location and a hotel with some history and character, the Residence Inn Historic Midtown in Atlanta is the choice for you.”
