• The beds were extremely comfortable, and the staff was very courteous.
• The food! Everything about all of the food we tried, excluding the cookies, was bland and tasteless. Will never dine at this facility again.

“The only thing I disliked about this hotel was the food. My wife and I got up on the first morning, and went to the dining area for breakfast, only to be treated with the most tasteless array of cuisine I have ever encountered. Everything from the eggs to the bacon to the toast was flavorless, and for $15 per person, I expected much, much more. Trying to attribute the breakfast to a mishap, I ordered room service dessert later that evening, only to be treated with a bred pudding that had the same flavor as my bacon earlier, none. Food aside, the rest of the hotel was fantastic, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on outside of my own home. A friendly staff, that is always ready to serve any need you may have. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to Atlanta, but I'll have my dining planned for elsewhere in advance.”

• The holiday party that was to end at midnight went till 1pm and noise (yelling) echoed up to 5th floor.

“I might have not gambled on this one after learning there were 2 parties and about 200 people in attendance if I had not prepaid. But, they did tell us on check in (still could not change, but, could try to brace ourselves) and it only ran about an hour past the supposed cutoff. The hotel staff and rooms were wonderful and perfect for that not crowded feeling. This was our second stay at a doubletree that had recently been remodeled and loved them both. (The other was in Utah).”

• The hotel is located in a centralized location.
• Construction, bar tender barely able to disguise his snootiness.

“The positive is the hotel is located in a centralized area. The negatives are: The bar is a makeshift table in the atrium with no seating. I was charged $12.00 for a Martini and $6.00 for a beer with no place to sit and enjoy them. The bartender with his comments on other entertainment establishments was offensive in the way he presented them and was barely able to mask his snootiness with a facade of smiles and apologizes. There is construction going on which makes for a noisy day. Forget trying to sleep in. The sound proofing between rooms and out in the atrium is something to be desired. There were two elevators unfortunately one was out of service and the hotel was booked which made getting up and down from the 7th floor somewhat challenging. I had reserved a smoking room and when I called room service to ask for an ashtray in the room I was informed the hotel was now a non-smoking hotel through out. I used the $12.00 Martini glass thank you very much. I will say that once the renovations are completed this should be a very nice looking hotel. But I would not recommend this hotel for travelers during this renovation phase. Especially those travelers not wanting to have to listen to banging and sawing early in the morning.”

• The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.
• The check in time was 4:00 pm was not able to check in until 7:00.

“This hotel was very good. The staff was nice and helpful but, do not expect to check in at the 4:00 pm like specified. Housekeeping was very slow cleaning the room (if you are checking in on the weekend) and they did not communicate with front desk once they were finished cleaning the room. Other than that this was a really nice hotel.”

“The overall experience was fine, but the furniture in the room was dirty and worn. I understand they are in through process of renovating all the rooms. Should be fantastic when completed.”

• Staff was polite. Our stay was satisfactory. No problems.
• Renovations in progress. The room we stayed in was not renovated but was in need of updating.

“Overall was a good deal for the price I paid. The hotel needs the renovations as the wall paper was pealing in several locations and the overall condition of the hotel was slightly below a 3 star hotel rating. However, the service and amenities were deserving of the 3 star rating. The renovations being made did not cause any problems. Parking near the entrance was limited.”

“Rooms are a bit tired. Wall paper peeling, slow drain in bath. Old/loose fixtures. Fold out couch was worn out and couldn't open/close. They put us in smoking rooms at check in, but were good about switching. I've never had someone put me in smoking unless they specifically pointed it out as the only available.”

• The ceiling in the foyer was leaking on us a bit during breakfast.

“I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was decorated to be reminiscent of New Orleans, (pre-Katrina of course). It is a great place to stay for a romantic weekend or even for business.”

• Our toddlers loved the Jacuzzi tub. We liked the bedroom suite.
• Nothing, It exceeded our expectations.

“The lobby was gorgeous, the room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. We all enjoyed the swimming pool in our room (Jacuzzi). It was a great way to relax after driving for many hours. This is a hotel room I would be comfortable staying in for several days - we were just passing through.”

• I loved the huge Jacuzzi and the king size bed. The location was great.
• The bedroom could have been larger but it was minor compared to all the other amenities that came with the hotel.

“This hotel property is very clean and well maintained. Located a stones throw from I-75, the hotel is centrally located to many of Atlanta's prime spots. We felt very safe and secure at the property and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling with a spouse or children.”

• The size of the rooms were very spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable I had slept in.
• I was disappointed that they did not offer a free breakfast. And the drinks at the bar were over priced.

• Unable to get my two rooms next too each other, loud party in lobby past midnite.

“Overall, I give it a medium high ranking. It was clean and spacous, but the staff seemed unorganized and unwilling to help when we checked in. There was a very loud class reunion party in the lobby and you can hear loud music troughtout the hotel past midnite and into the early morning hours.”

• The staff was very accomodating and the room exceeded our expections. We loved the fresh cookies and the decor was very warm.
• The only thing that was a little awkward was the entrance to the hotel off the street. You can only enter from one direction of the road.

• Very comfortable rooms, and great bath!
• The only drawback was registration ... a lack in staffing; there was no one at the desk and 1 staffperson was in a backroom and unaware we'd come in.

“Agreat place to stay .... would've like to have had longer than just one night; great rooms with bedroom separated from living room, two TV's, amenities, and the most beautiful bathroom, with a two-person jacuzzi, I'd seen in any hotel room (even a 4-star).”

• Beautiful lobby and guest rooms, friendly staff, great location. Would definitely stay here again when in the Atlanta area.
• I was not able to specify a non-smoking room and ours was a smoking room. It was pretty overwhelming when we first entered the room each time.

• The bed was incredibly soft, great linens as well
• Very dirty. Mold in bathroom. Bugs on windowsills.

“I checked in late at night. The woman at the desk was very rude. I got into my room fine, only to find it filthy. There was mold all along the tub, crumbs on the floor, peeling wallpaper, bugs on the windowsills, and so on. The room itself was nice and big, with plenty of room for a family. There wasn't much of a view of anything. The best part was that the hotel was easy to get to and back on the freeway. The woman who checked me out in the morning was very nice, and helpful.”

• Wonderful bedding, awesome jacuzzi, beautiful indoor scenery, inviting check in, loved it.
• Roomservice food was not worth the price

• Blanket was encased in a duvet. Coffee maker and fridge.
• No exhaust fan in bathroom.
