• The flat screen TV.
• The hallways to get to my room was dingy and far from the elevator.

“Once you got into the room - the hotel had a different feeling. The walk from the front desk to the elevator (The older section of hotel) was long and then another long walk from elevator to room. Once in the room, it was very pleasant.”

• The atmosphere when you entered the hotel was good.
• The hotel maid woke us knocking x2 at the door at 8 am wanting to know if we wanted service. She must have known that we were there for only one night.

“The room was pleasantly decorated and the hotel was beautiful. The outside view that we had was not pleasant we were overlooking the top of another building and some trees.”

• The colorful glass bulbed chandaler in the lobby reminded me of Las Vegas.
• We had 4 people shoved in tight little room.

“I really didn't care for the balcony, it was so small and you had a 5 ft. wide (I guess) hand rail, u couldn't even see over it. It made you feel very claustrophobic. You could only look straight out and it offered no privacy at all with the rooms next to you. The room was nice, housekeeping and front desk took very good care of us. I just think it was to small for 4 people (2 adults & 2 children). We had to move furniture around just to the rollaway bed to fit.”

• I thought the decor was beautiful. We had a very lovely room that was poolside, that was perk within itself.
• The fact that they do not have suites.

“I would recommend this hotel to any one. It was accessible, easy to get to. Easy access to the highway, restaurants and a couple of stores for shopping. I like how it was accessible but secluded, like you knew that only the people that were residing at the Marriott would be there. Like because we were in the city, I felt safe and did not worry about crime.”

• The pool and gym was nice as well as the rooms were adequate for the price. Nice lobby decor.
• They need to put refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms. That is a must with small kids.

“The hotel was nice and in a good location. The only problem I had was there wasn't a refrigerator or microwave in the room. We had small kids so that is almost a must. We went to eat out and had left over and had to get a cooler and pack the stuff of ice which was a hassle. We had to go downstairs to heat up food and the guy told us we could have asked for a microwave and refrigerator and they would have brought us one. It was never mentioned anywhere that was available for the asking. It was too late then, it was our last night. Overall the rooms were adequate.”

• The staff was immaculate and very friendly and helpful.
• Nothing disliked.

“We loved this hotel stay! The room, lobby, restaurants, workout area, pool were attractive and immaculately clean. When working out a staff member came and gave us cold bottled water each day. The food and fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet was beautifully presented and excellent. All staff we ran into were polite, friendly, helpful, and presented themselves very well. We would say this hotel is extremely well managed.”

“Bath & body work toiletries are an excellent plus. Excellent breakfast buffet for an economical price, free for kids. Wonderful indoor and outdoor pool, indoor Jacuzzi. Convenient location with easy access to I75 and I285.”

• Staff was helpful, good amenities (like free WiFi in room).
• The beds were poor quality mattress and sheets.

“It is a good quality hotel in very convenient location, although there was airplane noise at night, the beds were uncomfortable for a 3-star hotel, and the rooms are crowded because of furniture layout (especially when someone is seated at the desk). It also had the feel of an older hotel in hallways and rooms although it was described as "recently renovated".”

• Small room, overly loud guests, placed on hall with a large family reunion that was loud at all hours of the night.

“The hotel location and appearance was great. The room was very small. Not what was expected of this hotel at all? I was placed along a hall way that was crowded with a family reunion. They were all very loud and would knock on my door at all hours only for me to say they have the wrong room. Was placed down the hall from where they were partying, which got very loud. No other available rooms to be moved too. Not a comfortable stay at all.”

• The bed was FANTASTIC, best night's sleep I had in a long time.
• Family reunion going on made it extremely crowded.

“Overall, a wonderful hotel with extremely clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Exceptional service from all members of hotel staff. Plenty of convenient parking. Our room had a beautiful view of the city. Negatives: Whirlpool tub was dirty, lobby area and pool were extremely crowded, food on breakfast bar was terrible, even the coffee was bad.”

• The hallway from elevator to rooms was misleading. It didn't match with the looks of the rest of the hotel.

• Group of teenagers on our floor, loud and trash EVERYWHERE!

“The hotel itself was nice. The room was clean, but smaller than I expected for a Marriott. There were several groups which got very loud, and trashed the hallways.”

• Extremely comfortable beds and lounge chair in the room.
• Not as easy to access although the hotel sign is visible from the road. It needs better signage leading to road entry.

“Very friendly and helpful staff and really lush landscaping made it a nice place to stay. I was not thrilled with being located on the pool level below the lobby. Fresh coffee and fruit were available every morning just outside the restaurant. Excellent coffee.”

• Most of the staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean.
• Everything was charged separate from internet access by the minute to television channels.

“Overall the stay was enjoyable. We requested a micro-fridge for our room that never came which was disappointing. After calling the front desk three times for it we decided it was not worth getting to upset over and ruining the vacation.”

• The front desk staff was very unprofessional.

“The hotel has the potential of being an excellent facility. The location is good and the buildings are well maintained. I did not like the front desk staff. They were not professional. First, they did not acknowledge my presence. I stood there for a while before assisting me. They did not say even say hi to me and it took them more than 25 minutes to check me in. When I got up to our rooms, we could not get in one of the rooms and they were still cleaning the second room; this is at 4:20 pm EST.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Marriot but we were unhappy with the fact that the vending machines did not work, they did not offer free WIFI, and to buy drinks or snack in the lobby cost as much as renting the room in general.”

• The LCD TV's are a nice touch & the pool is great.
• The room did not have a refrigerator in it and when they brought one it was beat up.

“This hotel is hidden treasure just off I-75 and Windy Hill Road. It's very convenient to Downtown as well as Marietta. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are newly renovated and comfortable with LCD TV's. The pool area is clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel.”

• I liked the big comfy bed, pool, and toiletries.
• The Wi-Fi internet service did not work well at all, and the parking wasn't convenient to our room location.

“The hotel was really nice. Clean and classy, with friendly staff. The beds were big and comfy, and we were impressed by the Bath & Body Works toiletries they provided. We also really liked the pool area. It is set up so you can swim from the inside pool to the outside area. That was neat. They also have a hot tub, and provided pool towels. The only issue we has with parking. There was nowhere to park close to our room. Otherwise, we were really impressed with this hotel.”

• Unwieldy layout. No facility Map. Morning room service a joke.

“With the exception of a failure to deliver on Breakfast room service, this establishment is awesome. Very classy room. Great food at dinner! Filled out breakfast tag and placed on door knob and chose a 7-7:15 delivery. I called the at your service number, and inquired at 7:17. When I decided to just leave at 7:35, I went to the front desk and it became obvious what the issue was. The woman I had talked to was still on the phone with customers and hadn't even had a chance to check with the kitchen. The other front desk person was like wise overwhelmed. I mentioned that a free breakfast if not delivered on time, was a bit pointless if it never shows up at all. I was told the restaurant manager would call me, but I never got the call. It was obvious that the facility was short staffed, resulting in an experience that ended badly for me. This review would have been across the board 10+ had they been able to deliver on the promise.”
