• Cleanliness.

“Hotel met and exceeded my expections as far as being clean .The room was spacious. The only problem was in our group we had a child and we could not get a rollaway bed, had to upgrade to get a room with 2 double beds for a fee of course. I felt this was unfair.”

• It was affordable.
• Some of the people were slamming doors at 12 AM and the hotel did not respond well to that complaint.

“The hotel is affordable, clean, and overall okay. It is worth the price, I really was not thrilled with the location. It was in a safe neighborhood, but not many attractions close by. If you need something affordable this will be a good place.”

• Internet only 4.99 for entire stay.
• The bed frame was broken (bed slanted down), dirty room (beer bottles under bed), wallet stolen, no dishes for the kitchen.

“Not a good place to stay. The bed frames were broken and slanted down toward your feet. Telling the staff did no good. They did not care. The hotel advertises an efficient kitchen, but there was not enough dishes to cook with. I do not recommend this hotel. Also, while we spent the day out, my wallet was stolen from the room. Told the front desk, their answer was that no one was scheduled to go into that room. They finally did take a report, but it did no good.”

• The staff gave us good directions to grocery stores.
• The coke bottle that had dried soda in it.

“Besides the coke bottle (with soda dried in the bottom of the plastic bottle) in the room and no forks (since this hotel had a kitchenette) and the elevator was pretty nasty, it was ok for just one night.”

• I liked the fact that it had a small kitchen in the room.
• I did not like the fact that it didn't have any shuttle buses to take you around the neighborhood.

“The hotel is nice if you are on business. There are no amenities other than the kitchen in the room. Make sure that you have a rental car if you stay here. The air was good and cold and the room was nice and clean. This is not a good family hotel (no pool or anything like that). If you are on business and are just looking for a place to lay your head for a few days then I would recommend it for you.”

• They were willing to trade rooms when the "non-smoking" room reaked of smoke.
• The whole hotel smelled horrible and was dirty.

“When I got to hotel my info wasnt there so I had to find my confirmation & hotel staff had to call to confirm my reservation which was about 20 to 30 min wait. Service I say average at best but hotel & location were very nice.”

• We had the rudest staff, our toilet overflowed, we were not compensated for the inconvenience.

“The night staff was very rude. Our toilet was having problems, so she told me where to find a plunger, not cool. I did my best went out for the day, came back to my clothes on the floor. I told her about the mess and she said there was no one to help me at 10 pm at night. I asked for an upgrade for my inconvenience she said no I could stay in that room or she would give me the exact same room but no compensation for all the trouble I had to go through with moving my things and my ruined clothes. Also she was talking about us to these friends of her very unprofessionally. The day manager did not agree with any of our complaint and was also rude. I would never stay there again.”

• Lost my reservation. Hotel was disgusting. Room smelled terrible. Bathroom was infested with ants.

“We stayed at the ESA Atl-Marietta Windy Hill in Marietta, GA this past Friday night. First off I would like to say the staff there was very friendly. On the other hand, the hotel itself was awful. We got to the hotel around 11:00 p.m. on 8/24. I told the woman at the front desk we had a reservation for that night and she said they had no rooms available and no more reservations. But I was given a key after a brief panic and we proceeded to our room. I think most guests at this particular extended-stay hotel are actually "residents", as they were signs up asking them to pick up their garbage from the halls. The elevator was slow and the lights flashed inside on our way up to the second floor. The hallways smelled, and we heard screaming coming from the room across the hall. That was enough to make us feel uncomfortable before we even got into our room! We couldn't get the key to work at first (which I think was my fault) but the door knob was loose anyway, which also didn't help us feel confident in the place we were staying for the night. We went back down to the front desk and the woman there happily came back up to help us get in. Once inside, there were stains on the carpets, blankets and sheets. The mattress was flat and hard. The room was musty. Almost damp. Towels looked clean, but also felt damp. The windows were unlocked when we got in, so I was glad my husband though to check them. We were too grossed-out to even bathe there, which was good because we woke up in the morning to find the bathroom INFES.”

• Ants in the bed and kitchen; no bath mat in tub; teenagers hanging out in hall at 1 am; lots more things.

“I would not recommend anyone staying here. We had ants in the kitchen that Im pretty sure were in the bed also along with sunflower seed shells in the bed. Teenagers hanging out in the hallway at 1 in the morning. They had the back door entrance not allowing people to use it anymore so we had to walk all around the front to the office from the parking lot. They did not have a walkway. You hade to open your own doors. I would think since people have luggage they really can't just open a door so easily. Automatic doors are very convenient at hotels and this was the first one I have ever seen that did not have them. They claimed to have an overnight person but they were never seen. All in this entire hotel does not fit into a recommendation from me. Im not going to say that about the actual chain because this is the first ESA Ive stayed at.”

• Cigarette burns in bathroom, dripping air conditioner; nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, clogged toilet no maintenance man until 10am Sunday.

“We will never stay there again. As I mentioned, the nonsmoking room smelled of burnt bacon and cigarettes, the carpeting was wet from the dripping air conditioner, the toilet clogged, there were cigarette burns in the bathroom, and we didn't feel safe there.”

“I booked two rooms at this hotel. Both were filthy with previous guest's hair and food left behind. The bathroom was disgusting. I complained to the manager and was given a certificate for a free stay for my next trip. I will not be using the certificate; the hotel is not a good deal even if it is free.”
