• What a bargain! I got a beautiful room with friendly staff and a great location.

“The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The king size bed was a dream and quite comfortable. Although, I did not take advantage of the other facilities (room service, pool, lounge) my stay there was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend it to all my friends/family. I would definitely stay there again.”

• The front desk help was great.

“This is not at all what we expected, the hotels AC unit was out, so the rooms were very hot. The bathroom water ran most of the night, the walls were so thin that we were up most of the night because of other loud guest.”

• Really nice bathroom facilities in each room. I especially liked the padded bench in the room.

• The lobby was OK.
• The area and the rooms, service, food.

“The location was in the middle of no where and not the best area at all. The customer service was not good no one ever could be found you had to tract them down. The rooms were OK. Nothing special. The food was just okay they always seemed to never have what you wanted. I would never stay there again. Didn't see on caucsion working there.”

• Free breakfast and the shuttle service was very convienient.
• Location was right beside an abandonded building.

“Excellent value. The staff of the hotel was great! Free full breakfast was included with our stay. Rooms were very clean and had all the amentities that we needed. Complimentary shuttle service was an excellent plus. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.”

• The staff was awesome, and the room was really clean.
• Outside the hotel was some construction, and there wasn't much around.

“I knew we were in for a long ride when we drove up and the hotel was right nest door to an abandoned building. For this to be a Crowne Plaza it really has not been kept up by the outside appearance. The room was just ok, we asked for a king but were given a queen. They were able to accommodate us with a refrigerator, because my husband has diabetes. The second day went down from there; we went to breakfast at the hotel around 8 am and both of us became sick almost immediately after. Around 10 am we left the hotel for the day and when we returned at 3:30 pm we found that our room had not been cleaned nor had clean towels been left and our credit card had been stolen and charged with charges from Crowne Plaza that we did not authorize. We reported the card stolen to our bank and everything was taken care of, but we still felt compelled to notify the hotel management. To their credit they did apologize many times and promised to look into. At 4:30 pm the maid finally showed up and did the worst job I have ever seen in my 20 plus years of staying at hotels and working at hotels of cleaning a room. By the third day I was just ready to get out of there and never look back. I think for now on I will think twice before staying at another Crowne Plaza.”

• The friendliness of the entire hotel staff.

“From the first step into the lobby we were greeted by smiling faces and a friendly and professional staff. Entering the room we found a clean comfortable room, everything in place, air on, and a tightly made bed. In the morning all we wanted from the restaurant was two cups of coffee to go and were greeted with smiling faces and a warm good morning and no charge for the coffee. Check out was extremely fast and we were once again greeted with a smiling faces. I will stay at this particular hotel again.”

• Very nice, clean, and friendly staff.
• The toilet was not working properly.

“This hotel was very nice. The front desk staff was very personable and friendly. The hotel was clean, and it is very convenient to where I needed to be. I felt safe going in and to my car. The people next door to me were pretty noisy, but that is no fault of the hotel. The toilet was running when I walked into my room, and needed some minor maintenance. But the room was clean, and I didn't see any signs of disrepair.”

• Crowne Plaza was outstanding; allowed us to late check-out; buffet breakfast was excellent; room was clean and comfortable with nice extras.
• Could overhear talking in next room but stopped at about 11 pm.

“The Crowne Plaza is close to major highway out of Atlanta in Marietta, GA. Room was clean and spacious with good mattresses and linens; nice extras that showed effort to make guests feel special; good buffet breakfast; staff was very friendly and helpful throughout stay. Appreciated the late check-out that allowed for touring and return for check-out in pm. Will definitely stay again and consider Crowne Plazas for future accommodations when traveling.”

• I am a fan of the Crowne Plaza chain of hotels.
• It was the most uncharacteristic location for a Crowne Plaza hotel that I have stayed at.

“The hotel was excellent. However, I didn't like the surroundings. It was a first class hotel in a not so upscale environment.”

“We did not get the room that we were supposed to. We ended up with a fold out couch. That did not go over very well. They seemed to not be too worried about the room problem. The restaurant had only one waitress. She had a very hard time keeping up with a full house.”

• Great location for us, large and generally clean rooms.
• Carpets in rooms were spotted and stained. Adjoining room noise was high.

“This property was an odd mix of well done and needs help. Spacious rooms with newer appointments were marred by horribly stained carpets. Staff was pleasant and apparently helpful, but ordinary requests sometimes took two or more tries to get right.”

• I called the night before my arrival and asked a room with two 2 beds, when I arrived I was told there were no rooms with 2 beds that just.

“After much pleading, they finally gave us a roll away bed for our room which took about 45 minutes.”

“This hotel has been my worst experience. The first night I was there, I had a bug crawling on me under the sheets! I then stripped the bed to make sure I couldn't see any others. The next night I went to the hotel restaurant to eat and after an hour, my waiter ask if I wanted to see a dessert menu and I stated that I would rather have my dinner first. After over an hour, I received the wrong order. My last morning there I scheduled a wake up call (that is guaranteed or your night is free). I never received the wakeup call. I found another bug in the room that morning. Horrible experience.”

“This hotel is next to a burned down building that is being rebuilt and in front of a Mexican club and pool hall. The room's carpet was dirty and the walls in many places needed painting. This should be a 2 star and should probably loose its crown plaza flag.”

“This hotel barely meets the level of a two star. It is not a three star at all. The beds are hard. Hotel is noisy with very thin walls and large cracks under the doors. The hotel even ran out of face towels & the barking dogs really made the trip.”

• They did not have a non-smoking room available.

“The hotel for the most part was very nice, but the room provided was old and needed carpet. The paint in the bathroom was beginning to peel on the ceiling and the smell due to being put in a smoking room as a bit much. Great for business travel in and out, but would not recommend for leisure travel stays.”

“I was very pleased with the staff and the condition of the hotel and the rooms. The staff was friendly and most helpful about the area. They also provide a shuttle for a 5 mile radius which is great for a family on vacation. I felt as though I was at home from the time I arrived to the time that I left. In my opinion this is an excellent place to stay when in the Atlanta area.”

• Staff was friendly with the exception of the cleaning staff who were rude. Had a nice pool, but the deck was dirty.
• We got stuck in a smoking room - the room stunk! Picture missing on wall. Rude cleaning staff.

“The hotel is getting old and run down. Front desk staff was very nice, but the cleaning staff was rude. Paint was peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom and there were hooks for a picture over the bed, but no picture was there. Location is a bit scary with a very dilapidated building right next door.”

“We would not stay at this hotel again. Our key would not work over and over. Every time we got to the room, we had to go back downstairs and get another key. We had a guy come and check the AC, on the 1st night and said it was fine. It was not fine. On the 3rd night they finally moved us to a room that had AC.”

• After the 3 hour wait for room service they comped the food.
• Room service was a nightmare.

“Even with all the troubles we had the staff tried to help us. In the end they gave us free breakfast buffet for all of our party. The only real concern I have is about the smoking or non-smoking rooms. This is a problem when you have an asthmatic in your family. A smoking room is totally unacceptable.”

• No racial diversity among the staff. Shares driveway with what looks like a skeleton of a bombed out building!

“It is passable as a 3-star hotel with limited recommendation. The neighborhood and location is only fair- close to the interstate but not a nice setting. There is a burned-out building next door. There was no racial diversity among the staff and our names were not ever used by the staff except at check-in. We did not have a "do not disturb" sign for our door, and were not given one after calling the desk. We were awakened two mornings in a row as a result.”
