- The staff was extremely nice and the view was fantastic! The showers had the double heads! Great!
- They nickel and dime dyout to death, no luggage carts for loans, charged for everything extra, no vending machines.
“The Westin Cincinnati was a great place to stay. It's a short walk from everything in Downtown Cincinnati. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the rooms were great. The view of Fountain Square was amazing and the rooms were clean. The bathrooms in our rooms were a little dirty, but not too bad. The showers did have the double heads which was very nice! My only other complaint is that they charge extra for everything and do not provide luggage carts. I know next time to bring a cooler! I definitely plan on staying here again and would recommend it to anyone.”

- The beds were so nice and comfortable!
- The pool was a little small and they wouldn't let me light candles in the room.

- Loved the bed, room was nice, bathroom was nice, thermostat worked well, nice size overall.
- Didn't care for the showerhead-too prickly, room doors were a little tricky to open.
“Large hotel with modern decor good for business or leisure. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. We liked the fountain views and easy access to parking garage. Our standard room was a nice size. I wasn't a huge fan of the restaurant "ingredients", though - not enough options for breakfast and lunch.”

- The location and view of Cincinnati was great.
- The outrageously inflated costs of all items and services.
“This is overall a very nice and clean hotel. My biggest complaint was the outrageously inflated prices charged for everything many items that are complementary in much lesser cost hotels/motels (i.e. Internet connection, local calls and valet parking).I utilized the valet parking when we first arrived. I fully expected there to be a nominal parking lot fee with free valet service (with tips). I was shocked to find out that I had been charged for valet parking! If that wasn't bad enough. They did remove one of these charges when I brought it to their attention however, I am sure that it would have stayed on my bill if I hadn't noticed it. The internet service (which is free in most hotels) had a connection fee. Local calls (which are also usually free) were chargeable. The fully stocked refrigerator in the room had high prices of bottled water, a small kit kat bar etc. In my opinion, with the premium prices to stay at their hotel, they should not be gouging patrons like this on small items that cost them little or nothing.”

- The bed was fabulous. Bathroom was lovely, too.
- Room service food was expensive and not good.
“Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Bartender in lobby was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history and goings on of the city. Room was very serene and comfortable. Salad from room service was very good; burger and sandwich, not so much. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable. Rock bottom restaurant and bar across the street in fountain square was fun and had good food quality.”

- Building location, we were asked for money by homeless people in the building.
“The hotel was fantastic. We love Westin's Heavenly theme--the bed is amazing! We were greeting by the friendly front desk personnel and check in took less than 60 seconds. Check out was just as easy. I forgot my lipstick in the room after check out and the front desk had housekeeping check the room. I received a call within the hour to notify me they had found the lipstick and will hold it for pick up. This was truly a wonderful experience with a hotel. Two thumbs up!”

- Hotel was clean and comfortable with knowledgeable staff.
- We were put on a "quiet" floor and had to be careful about keeping quite and not disturbing the professional baseball team surrounding us.
“I would recommend this hotel to young and old travelers, there is a lot to do and see close to the hotel. It worked perfectly for our weekend getaway, although I wouldn't recommend for families with small children.”

- Staff not friendly, reluctantly helpful.
“My son and his wife stayed in another room that was perfect. Our room had hair and dust around shower, no robe until we asked for it, only 1 coffee grounds pack, no reference for hotel amenities (the black leather-like book that should have held it was empty). When I asked for the information about amenities, pool times etc. I was told they didn't have anymore. The front desk people (I spoke with several) were not rude, but never smiled or acted friendly. I felt like I was imposing on their time.”

- The location was close to the event we were going to.
- There was no restaurant for Sunday breakfast.
“Nice hotel, good location in the heart of downtown. The McCormick & Schmick's restaurant is new and the staff is going through the learning curve. The fact that there is no restaurant for breakfast other than a continental style is very disappointing. The $24 valet parking is ridiculous. It's $17 to valet park if I'm not staying at the hotel. Makes no sense.”

- Nothing was open, including the activities that supposedly made it 4 stars.
“This hotel is good for people who do not plan on needing entertainment, or too much else. Parking and luggage is difficult unless you want to spend $35-70 for staff to help. Parking is close to impossible and finding was you check in is not easy either. I thought a 4-star hotel would have a place to get my hair done, but all the stores were closed for all three days of my stay. The room was not completely cleaned upon our arrival and finding information and directions to anywhere for anything was not easy. The hotel channel on TV. Just had the Name of the hotel, with no real information available. It was very clear that administration, or lack of, was not at its best when it came to catering to customer needs and satisfaction. I will not stay at that hotel again, even if it was at a cheaper rate.”

- The bed was nice.
- The bathroom looked really bad. These were water damage in the room we were in #529.
“I would not stay in this hotel again, due to the water damage in the bathroom and the price that I paid for the room.”

- The room was spacious and clean.
- Service staff was terrible.
“We were treated very poorly. Had to ask for help at checking. Given incorrect room number at check in. Had to ask for room to be cleaned. No restaurants were open only a cafeteria type cafe. I will never stay at this hotel again. I felt like we were treated sub-standard.”

- Sat across from fountain park, convenient to downtown arts.
- Room did not have an individual temperature control.
“Excellent location to all downtown activities, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff and great beds. Perfect location for the business traveler and the couple that taking a romantic weekend get-away.”

- Location was very nice, and parking was very easy.
- Christmas things were going on in the park next to the hotel and the traffic was horrible.
“The hotel was nice. Not very up scale, but it served its purpose was had a good location. Probably not quite worth the price of the stay though.”

- Great location and view.
- The bed was not as comfortable as it looked in pictures.
“The location and view of the hotel were great. I was expecting a fluffy bed with down blankets, but the sheets were pretty stiff and the comforter was basic, not down. Also, the hallways lacked decoration that would have made it look much better.”
