• No pets were allowed.

• The staff was super, the room were nice and very convenient to get to the restaurants.
• No elevator, no restaurant, view was gloomy from our room.

• Rooms were clean. Location was convenient.
• No elevator to the 2nd floor. Pool could have been better cleaned/maintained.

“Overall, this hotel was fine for our trip. We were there to visit the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. The location was convenient. The main things we were not satisfied with was the fact that there was no elevator to the second floor. It was quite inconvenient having to carry luggage to and from our room. The only other problem was the cleanliness of the pool. We took swimsuits but did not use the pool. The area around the pool and the pool itself were quite nice, however, staff could have done a better job skimming the pool for debris. Other than that the hotel was good.”

“My stays at the Courtyard by Marriott in Lansing are always a pleasant experience. Charge for parking, close to shopping, several eating establishments in the area. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and the location is directly off of a freeway.”

• Manager reception was a nice reception. Wait staff and front desk were superb. Comfy bed.
• Awkward entry drive.

“If you like a clean comfy motel, convenient to the expressway and a nice mall, with friendly staff at a reasonable cost, this is definitely meeting those needs. The manager's reception featured a couple of free cocktails and a nacho bar. Hit the spot. Very reasonably priced breakfast buffet that was just right. All in all, very pleased to have stayed there.”

• I would have liked the TV to have a better picture, it was fuzzy at times.

• Smelled of mildew.

“I have stayed at this hotel many times and this was my poorest experience. The room seemed dingy and smelled of mildew in the bath. The housekeeping staff did a lousy job cleaning my room- didn't change the towels, didn't replace the lotion that had been used, not a very enjoyable experience. I would check out another hotel next time due to this experience.”

• The staff was great and the convenience was even better!
• Rust in bottom of pool and restaurant is only open for breakfast and room service.

“This was an awesome hotel, though not much like a Courtyard Marriott experience. We weren't able to change the temp in the room. The bed was a bit hard. Overall the staff was great, the room was great for a 6 day stay. Convenience was remarkable, right across from shopping and several restaurants and next to highway. I would recommend staying here! But they could make a few changes to make the stay even better.”

• The room was a little on the small side and the towels were a little rough, not too bad though.

• Parking was a bit far from the door I needed to enter.

“This is an excellent hotel. It is just off a major interstate. Rooms were comfortable and clean with many upscale amenities. Although I was traveling alone on business, there was a large convention occurring in the hotel facilities. It looked like a good location for a conference.

“I was disappointed that the hotel did not have a complimentary breakfast. Most of them do these days and the fact that the restaurant didn't open until later on the weekend was a problem for our stay.”

• I liked the pool and spa facilities.
• The bed is large, but very hard. My spouse and I both woke up with back aches.

• The cleanliness of the place. It was also very quiet
• The pool had too much chlorine in it and you could smell it all over the hotel.

“Overall the hotel was great. If we had not been traveling with our young children, we would have enjoyed the manager's cocktail hour.”

• The breakfast staff was extremely nice and went above and beyond to help us.
• The front desk clerk when I checked in did not treat us appropriately.

“When we first checked in to the hotel the front desk clerk was very nice. He made us stay in a room with only a king size bed even though there were two adults and two children. He finally offered to move us if we would pay him some additional amount. We refused and told him that we have not ever experienced this before. The next day the ceiling in our bathroom was flooded with water that was coming from the room above us. We spoke to the manager on duty about the issues we had. She immediately moved us to a room with two double beds by the pool. She said that there was no excuse for how we were treated by the desk clerk the first night. She gave us coupons for free breakfast, free drinks, and even gave us an extra nights stay for free. In the end it turned out to be a great experience.”

• Pool was broken/closed. Unruly children running rampant in hallways.

“Although the pool was closed, and the hot tub was a little less than hot, overall it was a positive experience. The room was quiet and I could hear neither guests or outside, which was pleasant. The room was also clean and well organized. Oddly, and as a bonus, when we stayed on Saturday, apparently every Saturday, this particular hotel gives out a coupon for 4 free drinks from the lounge/restaurant.”

“Friendly staff greeted us and Manager's hospitability at the reception was a great way to start our stay (drinks & snacks). Located by several fine restaurants and shopping, with easy access off the freeway. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with quiet heating/air system (digital thermostat). Refrigerator in room was a nice touch.”

• I really liked location. It was very easy to find and to get back on the expressway to continue my trip up north.
• Everything met my expectations!

“This hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel gave complimentary drinks which was not expected. The front desk clerk gave me discount coupons to use for local dining. The hotel offered a hot breakfast buffet, which we were very disappointed to have missed. Loved this hotel!”

“I did not like the hotel. It is not very easy to get to. It is close to the highway, but the entrance is tucked away. The hotel itself is not visually appealing. The TV in the room was old and the picture was bad. The pool was dirty and the spa was very old.”

• I love the location as well as the cleanliness of the hotel itself.
• I really don't have any complaints.

“I have previously stayed at this hotel and thought it was a new hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find it had been around for about 20 years according to a desk clerk (under a different name) but there is no obvious wear and tear to suggest that. I personally always look in the bathroom for dirty grout or tubs and it just wasnt there. I will definitely return to this location.”

• Excellent location. In addition, the room was very comfortable. I enjoyed the opportunity to use the large workspace as well.
• There was nothing about the hotel I did not like.

• Pool & hot tub cold, not together. Asked for microwave then did not get. No continental breakfast.
