• Clean, and comfortable room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Toilet was very loud when refilling tank after a flush.

“Met our expectations. The staff was super friendly. We could hear people in the hallway, but it was right after a Bengals game and there were a few rowdy people in the halls. Normally, I don't think you would be able to hear average guests.”

Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly demeanor of staff and the trendiness of the facility- especially for the price. Overall, my family enjoyed their stay and found the hotel accommodating and friendly.”

• The gym was nice and the location was great.
• There was construction going on in the hotel, even at 9am on Saturday.

• Did not know it was under renovation and several features were unavailable.

“This hotel would have likely been lovely had it not been undergoing a major renovation during our stay. Nowhere was there any information regarding this - the concierge lounge was unavailable, one of the bars was unavailable - many areas were clearly under construction - very unfortunate that we had no idea until we arrived. The staff was however extremely friendly and helpful.”

• Price.
• Staff was sloppy.

“Room temp was 60 degrees upon arrival in room pay per view was not functional during my stay.
Bellman went off duty before bringing my bags to my room.
I had to call after waiting for quite some time.
Toilet ran consistently. Poor maintenance checks by cleaning staff.”

• Fantastic location and beautiful interior.

“The hotel was very warm and inviting as were the staff. The room itself was very nice with a great updated TV and fantastic views of the Cincinnati skyline. The furniture and vanity in the bathroom were very classy and I really appreciated the way the staff regarded my wife and I. i.e. it was my pleasure.”

• Awesome view, great staff, comfy room, awesome lobby.
• Parking garage a tad inconvenient, TVs a bit dated.

“Can't say enough great things about this hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The staff was very helpful and courteous and determined to make our stay pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. And the views were simply awesome, particularly at night! I highly recommend this hotel.”

“The Marriott is a terrific place to stay that is convenient for both the Covington and Cincinnati areas. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and the quality of the lobby and public spaces was outstanding and inviting. We would have enjoyed having Wireless internet available in the rooms or the public spaces near our room, but that was the only shortcoming of the facility.”

• Water damage in the bathroom, mold/mildew on ceiling in shower and in sink.

“The parking ramp smelled like natural gas and was very difficult to navigate through as the spaces and driveways were extremely narrow. Also, it looked like the parking ramp was dangerous, not structurally sound. The bathroom in our room had water damage above the shower and there was excessive mold/mildew growing in the shower and around the rim of the sink. The duvet cover was tattered on one corner. I mentioned this to the front desk and they waived my parking fees. The phone next to the bed did not work. I told the front desk about this but it was not addressed. Overall this hotel was very disappointing. Four stars? I think not!”

“We were very happy with the location and service of this hotel. We were provided with a very nice room with a view of the river and the skyline. The staff was very helpful when we needed extra towels, recommendations for a restaurant, and even allowed my son to play the piano in the lobby when we asked. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who asked.”

• Beautiful hotel with great views of Cincy.
• It is on the other side of the river but cabs and bus are cheap.

“Clean hotel with secure location. Good views of the Cincy Skyline at night. The resturant was okay but the food was not what I would expect from. I would stay there gain without second thought!”

• The king size bed was very comfortable!
• Any one could walk in from the parking garage to anywhere in the hotel.

• The beds are excellent-very comfortable.
• $10.00 a day for Wi-Fi ridiculous.

“I don't think the people here know what a 4 star hotel is. It's not about the giant silk bouquets everywhere or the fountains but it's about the service and amenities you can actually use. I think a 4 star hotel can do as well as star bucks and holiday Inn and offer free Wi-Fi instead of ten bucks a day which smacks of a sleazy shake-down. They would not cash a check for me because though I stayed there for 6 days I am not a Marriott Rewards Member. the only thing 4 star about this hotel are the beds. I think the folks are doing the best they know how. They all need to go stay in a really nice hotel to see what it's like.”

• The employees. I was extremely unhappy with their attitudes and lack of professionalism.

• Public areas were beautiful.
• It was difficult to get from the entertainment areas in Newport, KY to the hotel and back.

“The public areas were beautiful and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Finding the route from Newport on the Levee to the hotel was a bit of a challenge. The elevator and parking levels were also confusing as the lobby is not on the street level floor but the valet parking is. The staff was very helpful, though, and anticipated this issue by offering directions.”

• I do not know where to begin honestly. Absolute best!
• I stayed there for almost a month and don't have any complaint.

“I stay in hotels constantly all over the region, I have actually stayed at the Marriot for almost a whole month traveling home on Fridays and returning that Sunday for business and can honestly say that my experience at the Marriot River Center is unbeatable. This is an extremely clean, comfortable, accommodating, friendly staff, wonderful food, great amenities for alone travel, etc. I am really going to be upset when having to travel to a different area and will not have the option of this hotel to stay in! Thank you so much Marriott! I will always stay there every time I visit my clients in that area.”

“Pretty, that is it. Bathroom was dirty, hair in sink and tub, lots of loud people, comfortable bed. I would not recommend this hotel, especially when I was billed far more than what I was quoted, and I did not even steal a towel!”

“Last weekend we stayed at the Marriott 2 nights and the Netherlands in Cincinnati downtown area. Both hotels were great. However I do prefer the Marriott and of course because you get a king size bed. At the Hilton Netherlands the only thing you get is a queen room but then they tell you to pay an additional $ for an upgrade to a king room.”

• Close to attractions in Cincinnati; could walk over the Ohio River to ballparks.
• Taking the elevator to check in and changing elevators.

“This was a last minute surprise for my spouse to celebrate 28th wedding anniversary. Perfect weather helped, the all the attractions were within walking distance. My spouse was happy, that means I am happy!”
