• They did give us some directions to a couple places that we asked about.
• Was supposed to have a king bedroom but they gave us 2 queen beds and didn't try to take care of it.

“Not happy at all. Room was wrong and nothing was done about it. No breakfast and the pool was so strong smelling of chlorine that it about made
us sick.”

• the desk staff was very helpful in answering our questions on destinations and gave us detailed directions. supplied us with items we had forgot.
• the convience of there snack bar by the front desk was nice to just grab a juice or milk for my child but thought it was a bit pricey for such items.

“this was my sons first hotel visit and our first in a very long time. Our experience was great and we truely were able to relax and have a nice time. the hotel was very clean, pool area included. If we head to Covington again would definately stay here again.”

• Complimentary internet access; cheap downtown shuttle stop right in front of hotel; free parking.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt the $10 breakfast was too expensive, so we skipped that. We appreciated the free internet access and free parking. We were worried that the hotel was right next to train tracks, but they have soundproofed the rooms, and the trains are barely audible - no troubles sleeping through them at all!”

• Great location to great American Ballpark for a Reds game.
• It would have been nice to still have coffee in the lobby at 10:30 am.

“This hotel is convenient to Great American Ballpark. We can park a little ways from the hotel for $3 and then walk over the bridge to the ballpark. You are close to the train bridge but the building is sound-proofed well. It has its own parking garage. The staff is very friendly.”

• Great location for business in downtown Cincinnati.

“Typical Courtyard in every way. Very friendly staff that knew local traffic, shortcuts and points of interest. Location is close to Cincinnati but less congested than downtown. Surrounded by restaurants, both chain and local.”

• They were always out of cookies when we got home at night.

• Free covered parking, reasonably close to the old downtown area of Covington, KY.
• On the north side, the train sound is quite noticeable. But no on the south side. I stayed on both.

“Everything was fine for the most part. The north side does have a train go by that is quite noticeable. On the upper most floor, it seemed you could hear the elevator shaft motors all over that top floor constantly starting and stopping with a quiet thump. That is worse than the occasional train you here. I think on anything but the top floor, you cannot hear the elevator motors?”

• The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
• The hotel's restaurant breakfast buffet was expensive for what you get, which is not much.

“This hotel was clean and comfortable. Very conveniently located. There are train tracks nearby, but the hotel has taken measures to quiet things down - double pain windows, extra insulation, and with the air conditioning/fan running I didn't even notice the train noise. I was very happy with this hotel for the great price.”

• The pool, gardens and common areas were much nicer than expected.
• Not the greatest location compared to other hotels in the area.

“The hotel is located right off the highway, good if you want to be near the highway, bad if you don't like the noise or pollution. The room was adequate. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms worked. Nothing opulent or luxurious though. The outside gardens, the pool and the common areas were very nice. All in all this is what you'd expect for the more moderately prices Courtyard by Marriott brand.”

• Non smoking hotel but did allow me to smoke on balcony.
• No smoking rooms.

“Though the surrounding neighborhood might look a bit scary, the hotel itself was quite nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It offered all the amenities and conveniences expected from a Marriott hotel. The rooms were very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. No complaints at all with the hotel or the staff. However, we did not use the pool, hot tub, fitness room, or eat at the hotel restaurant. I can only tell you about the room itself. The open areas such as the lobby and halls. We just used the room for sleeping since our weekend was planned. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. You should try the cookies at the front desk! And may I say again, the bedding was ultra comfortable.”

“We arrived before noon at this hotel just hoping to park and go to the Red's game. When I went to the front desk, I was warmly greeted and told it was no problem we were early. We checked in and took our luggage to the room. Then we were told how to walk (20 minute walk) to the game if we desired or a shuttle that was available that had a stop right outside the hotel for $1.25 a person. Great location on the river close to all kinds of shopping and activities.”

• My room was not clean one day and I never heard from management. No adjustments accommodations made.

“I truly enjoy your hotel. I try to stay there whenever I'm in the area. I have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotel. I feel just as comfortable, actually even more comfortable at your property. The hotel overall appearance and cleanliness if great. I enjoy free parking and your exercise room.”

• The housekeeping was extremely poor. Leaving dirty glasses & cups in the room without leaving coffee everyday & clean glasses or cups. Poor job.

• The room had dirty glasses in it and I never could get the internet working. The restaurant was terrible.

“The hotel was very good, clean and well staffed. The only bad thing is the hotel is located near railroad tracks and the trains did run each night. There was some noise, but still tolerable.”

• The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant.
• The bathroom needs updated for a better atmosphere, but it was clean.

“We really enjoyed the hotel, especially the conjoining rooms because we had our youth basketball team with us. Our other parents enjoyed it as well. The location was great to get to the events in Florence, KY and to festivities in Cincinnati. Restaurants are all around to choose from. The view of Cincinnati at night is great! We can't wait to go back!”

• Set up of room was odd but nothing that wouldn't make me stay there again!

• Dirty wash-rag found in bathroom, noisy train tracks nearby.

“My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was very nice and clean for the most part. Our only complaint was a dirty wash-rag that we found hanging over the shower rod. The hotel is located next to a really neat historic looking district (Mistresses I think it was called) filled with unique bars and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of Downtown Cincinnati and right beside the river. Our room was right next to a train track and it was a little hard for my wife to sleep. (It was not a problem for me). Overall we loved this hotel and plan to come back.”

• The breakfast cost 9.99.

“The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The lobby area was also clean and nice. The pool and exercise room were good sizes. The room had a few scuff marks on the walls and the light switch plate was far from being straight on the wall. I was disappointed that the breakfast cost so much. I know that I won't eat 9.99 in buffet foods. The lobby had a place to buy necessities but no prices were mentioned. All in all, the place was decent.”
