• Our room was very quiet and clean.
• Room was a bit small and bed linens could have been more comfortable.

“Small, older hotel but obvious renovated and was very clean. It was a 2 story building with no elevators. I never mind taking the stairs, but it takes a little longer with luggage. Decor was the same as all the Marriott Courtyards. The room was smaller than the newer Courtyards and the sheets could have been more comfortable. The room was clean and quiet, though, which helped us to get a good night's sleep.”

“I was coming to Ft Benning, because my son was graduating and his turning blue ceremony. The location was close enough and right next to the mall, nice dining choices close by.”

• I liked the location, it was near Ft. Benning and the mall for shopping.
• On our last night at this hotel we saw a cockroach on the stairway as we approached the second floor.

“I loved the location of the hotel and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was a little smaller than I expected, especially for three people. We had a room with two queen beds, a desk and a chair and there was not a lot of room to move around. Overall, the hotel was decent. The only real disappointment was that we saw a cockroach the last night at the hotel as we were going up the stairway to the second floor. The room, lobby, hall, etc was extremely clean so I was surprised to see this.”

• Check in was fast with no hassles, the parking lot was well lit, the hallways were clean.
• A little hard to find since it is located in a shopping mall parking lot.

“The front desk staff was aware of our late arrival, had room keys readily available and was able to accommodate additional towels and a forgotten toothbrush immediately. The hotel smelled clean when you walked in - front lobby and the side entrance where the room was located. The grounds, pool area and mail lobby were in really good condition and I felt comfortable as soon as I walked into the room. Very nice hotel. I would recommend this to any one needing a room in Columbus GA.”

• Easy access to the room, relatively clean.
• Small room with too much stuff crammed in, poor bathroom set-up.

“Clean but small rooms, they are very cramped. They are charging to much for the room you receive. The free continental breakfast is worth avoiding. The pool and whirlpool were mostly clean and well maintained.”

• Trying to use the internet service was a little bit challenging.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area. It was a much more pleasant experience than the hotel where I stayed last time I came to Columbus!”

• The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are always clean.
• Construction workers who sat outside their room and drank alcohol into the night.

• Room was clean and well taken care of.
• Was told that we would have a fridge but, but when we arrived one was not in the room and no extras could be found. No Elevators.

“Rooms was very nice and clean, friendly staff. I would stay there again but request the first floor if traveling with someone that could not lift luggage up the stairs - they did not have any elevators. I called twice to request a fridge for our room and was told that one could not be guaranteed, however they do have several that if the room does not have one we could get one. Upon arrival we called the front desk and requested a fridge. A few hours later we requested it again and again finally they called back and said that one was in the room, I asked where it was located but there was no fridge there. Then we were told that they did not have any extra available. Someone else also requested a fridge and they never got one either.”

• The fitness facility was clean and modern. The in-room internet was easy to use.
• The $14 cost for pay per view movie.

“The hotel was very accessible and easy to find. It was a little old, but clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful, the fitness center provided very modern cardio equipment that actually worked. I would stay there again.”

• After 9:00 p.m. front desk very slow for purchases at the snack bar, not enough help at night.

“I had a very pleasant stay. There were 9 people in my party from 3 months old to 60 years of age and we were all accommodated just fine.”

• Inexpensive enough to get two rooms: one for adults and one for children. Beside a nice-sized mall.
• Our sliding glass door (second floor) was open when we got into the room. No scary monsters hiding inside, but disconcerting, nonetheless.

• Check in as quickly and friendly and gave me what I asked for.
• The morning disruption.

“The hotel itself was great. However I would say do not put guest right beside a room that is known to have construction the next day. We were awaken to construction going on at 830-9am next door and upstairs. If it was known that the construction was going to take place. I recommend putting the guest in another room; otherwise, we had a great stay here with clean rooms and everything. Thanks.”

“This property advertises itself as the 5th Courtyard ever built. Hotel is in good shape, certainly represents the brand well. Would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• Beds & pillows were very comfy and internet center was great, food was just OK.
• Quality of food items at breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired, but staff was great and it was good to have breakfast available even still.

“Nice rooms and the beds and pillows were great. Very clean and seemed to be recently remodeled. Not as far from Ft. Banning for graduation ceremonies as they made it seem online. Walking distance to Mall and theatres. Much nicer part of town than closer to Ft. Banning.”

“Lots of lighting in the parking lots, easy to find. The beds were remarkable. While an older hotel the rooms had been redone and were very nice and clean. Nice tile in the bathrooms.”

• Spa needs some attention.

“This is a great hotel, customer service was excellent. Overall feel of hotel was great. Most rooms have a porch; love the interior walkways and the comfort of the Courtyard in the center of the hotel, even though you are far from home you don't feel like you are in a go-go lifestyle. Great for business, family. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Hotel rooms and lobby area were very clean and comfortable. Maggie at the front desk was very helpful because she showed that I had a reservation for one hotel night when I actually had reserved two nights. All I had to do was show her my printed receipt and she said she would take care of it. My major complaint with all Courtyards is that they do not have a continental breakfast. Hampton is just as nice and no hotel chain can beat the beds in a Hampton. They also treat their guests to a continental breakfast and are cheaper than Courtyards.”

“This hotel was excellent. The room was immaculate for the star rating. I think it should have been more like a 3 star. It was a very large room that had a very modern decor in a great location in walking distance to the mall, movies, and dinner.”

“Stayed November 2007 for 2 days staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. Room was very clean. The beds weren't as comfortable as Hampton Inn's, but Hampton beds are unusually new. These beds were fine no complaints for what I paid. Cab fare to airport was a mere $5 because it's so close. The high speed internet is not wireless but less convenient cable that's too short. Instead of being able to use your laptop in bed or anywhere in the room, you'll be confined to the desk.”

“I have a great stay at the Columbus courtyard Marriott, the hotel staff was friendly and courteous and made me feel welcome. I check in received my room key and made my way to a non smoking room. The accommodation where great, I used the work station to complete my business and finish up with a hot shower in a clean facility 'very awesome', completing my evening with a long peaceful nap on a very soft king size bed. I would like to thank Marriott for a wonderful experience and look forward to doing business again.”

• The staff. Wonderful, friendly, helpful people.
• Heat/air temp hard to regulate.

“Beautiful surroundings. Easy access to airport, shopping, dining, bank, etc. Clean as a whistle. The heat/air had to be repaired, but was still not easy to regulate. Housekeeping reached us mid afternoon, which was not always the best time, but did a great job and kept things tidy. The staff was superior. Loved meeting them.”

• Black mold/mildew in shower. Continental breakfast not included in price of hotel.

• Two floors but no elevator, no fridge in room, breakfast not included, very little info about area attractions, and staff uninformed.

“Rooms were great-clean and good beds. Staff not aware of current events in the city or very knowledgeable about area attractions. Shriner circus was in town when we were there and no one at hotel were aware so couldn't tell us where or when. Pool deck area is lovely. No elevator to 2nd floor. No coffee or refrigerators in rooms. All in all it was a pleasant stay if you know what to expect when you get there.”

• Hotel restaurant.

“I dined in at the hotels restaurant and ate the breakfast buffet. I had milk that was soar. The date was still good for 3 more days but was gross. I asked for some ketchup from one of the staff members and she told me to go take it off someone's table. My key didn't swipe the second day we were there so I had to go to the front desk to get it reprogrammed. The key pad by our room to the parking lot didn't work. So we had to walk around every time we came back to the hotel. Overall my experience was ok.”

• Our room had a missing refrigerator, which we could have used.

• Wish they would have offered lunch or dinner and not just breakfast.
