• Convenient, bed was comfortable.
• Old design hotel, could have cleaned the corners better, saw a bug by the sink mirror.

• Staff was courteous and helpful.
• Rooms had a smell to them like mold or dampness.

“I think this hotel is on its way from a 2 star moderate to a 1 star economy. Shower pressure was weak, water from the tap smelled of chlorine and the room in general smelled of mold.”

• I did not like the hotel nor did I stay in the hotel.
• They wanted to put us in a room with one bed for four people.

• I really like the way that John the desk clerk help me with looking for places to eat and the store to buy my son running shoes.
• The bathroom could use updating. Other then that, it was just fine.

“If your a person on the road and just looking for a place to sleep, this is the one. The service and the employees were very helpful in looking and giving directions to resturants and other places to see around Columbus, GA.”

• Location good for my business.
• Very old looking, not kept up to date, painted in patches.

“The hotel was conveniently located, fairly clean with friendly staff. The hotel looks old, worn out, with half-hearted attempts at improvement. This was not the typical Hampton Inn.”

• The pool area was great. It provided a nice place to sit and visit wtih family.
• The rooms were clean but could be updated.

• They put me in a smokers room with out asking me first.

• Breakfast bar was fantastic - Staff was very helpful.

“The hotel staff was excellent, breakfast bar was extremely good with breakfast pizza, scrambled eggs, ham, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, etc. Pool was okay - not large. Room was fairly clean.”

• The staff was awesome!! We had a great experience b/c of their hospitality.
• Room was crowded for 3-1/2 people.

“Overall, we had a great experience because of the staff; we also enjoyed being able to get coffee or tea throughout the day and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. The price was great for the quality of the room; the only drawback was not contacting the hotel in time to get 2-doubles in a non-smoking room--we had to settle for a king and a rollaway--but the hotel was great about accomodating us, and didn't charge extra for the rollaway. It was a bit crowded for two adults, a toddler and a teen, but the staff's courtesy made up for it. The only other drawback was that the weather didn't cooperate for us to use the outdoor pool; but the fact they had a pool at all was a bonus!”

“Overall a reasonably priced hotel for the area, however, there were an unusually high numbers of young soldiers staying in the hotel. These soldiers were obviously glad to be away from base and tended to be very loud even late into the evening.”

“This is the second time I have been extremely disappointed with this hotel. The room had two double beds that were too small for me. Once again I substituted comfort for price. This will NEVER happen again.”

• The fact that the toilet seat was broken in one of our rooms.
• They seemed to be under staffed. They only had one person at their front desk who had to answer incoming calls and greet guests.

• I am a man of larger stature. For this reason I always get a king size bed. The bed they gave me was a twin.

“The Hampton Inn is generally a nice hotel. My experience at that particular hotel wasn't the best. The only other problem I had was the phone wasn't connected. I carry my cell phone so this wasn't very problematic.”

• difficult to enter during peak driving hours (lunch, am & pm rush), thin walls, could hear neighbors & outside noise

“This hotel was recommended by a friend, and I'm glad I got it! Friendly staff, pretty clean hotel. The only drawback was the outside noises that leaked into the room and that I could hear my neighbor's radio. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Hampton Inn is a hotel located in a good part of Columbus. Unlike most hotels, its an inn where you will enter the rooms from outside. The room was clean and stocked with the appropriate items and breakfast was delicious!”
