• The lobby was pretty and it had a nice workout room.

• Convenient, and helpful staff!
• All the heavy hall way traffic (early AM) kids running up and down hall way.

“The location of this hotel was just up the street from the business I was in town for. My room was very clean & comfortable. It was to late in the evening to enjoy one of the restaurants in the hotel but looked very nice. From my outstanding experience I had at this hotel, the next time I visit the Fort Wayne, IN area. Thank you.”

• Shower head was wonderful and great shower lighting and very comfy bed.
• It turned out farther away than we would of liked and we had to pay for parking.

“Nice room. Very comfortable bed. Shower head and lighting in shower was wonderful. Loved the toiletries. Breakfast was fairly reasonable. Service was friendly but slow.”

• The bed was terrific! I slept like a baby!
• I heard yelling children in the hallway at 7:00 am.

“I have been in this hotel before, but this time it seemed better. Better beds, cleaner rooms, friendlier staff and less noise. Its downtown location is perfect for us. Looking forward to my next trip to Fort Wayne.”

• Comfortable room nicely decorated and laid out.
• Surrounded by two busy streets - lots of road noise from traffic.

“The hotel is nicely decorated from lobby area to individual rooms. However, the hotel is surrounded by two busy streets - the traffic noise never seems to settle down. In our bathroom was a very dirty glass that appeared to have greasy fingerprints and leftover water marks; the mouthwash security seal was broken on the trial size bottle.”

• Right in the middle of Downtown Fort Wayne.

“We were hoping for a hotel towards the northwest of the city and got this instead. Not a good location unless you must be in the Downtown area. This was a nice hotel, but unless you have to be Downtown, it's not near anything.”

“I have stayed in lower starred hotels that were cleaner and had more room. The hotel was not very accommodating on the phone and I was not impressed with the 3 star rating of this hotel.”

“The room we were given was right next to the elevators so we heard them all night long running and it sounded like a train was coming into our room, and the smoke detector was falling out of the wall in the room which worried me since we were on the 7th floor.”

“If you're going to book rooms as nonsmoking, they should not have been smoked in for at least a few days. One room reeked of stale smoke on entry, and the other of detergents for a day, then stale smoke. The carpet was still damp from the attempt to clean it, but the smoke smell won out.”

• Really nice room. Roomy, immaculate, well appointed.
• Swimming pool too short and too shallow to use. No Jacuzzi.

“Really excellent overall. I work in this city part-time, so to be able to stay Downtown was a real blessing. If there is any drawback, it is that next to nothing is happening Downtown at night. There are often special events - but if you're not there for a special event, you have to drive north or west of the city to get to stores and restaurants.”

“Rooms need updating. The decor is very ugly and old fashioned. Flat screen televisions should be standard for a Downtown hotel with their rates. Housekeeping banged on the door well before check out time. Bar is nice. Well stocked convenient store in case you forget something. Convenient kiosk for check in/check out. Doorman was nice and took my bags to my room without needing me to tag along (tip him). Parking is extra in a garage across street.”

“The hotel is very nice and so is the staff. The parking is difficult as is the unloading and loading of luggage with the construction of that area. The area to load the luggage was very difficult to get the luggage cart to. There wasn't anyone to help when we checked out on Sunday morning. Traveling alone with a child meant that either the child or the luggage were alone at some point.”

• The room was large and laid out well. There was room for our daughters pack and play.
• The pool was small, and there was construction making parking difficult.

“The hotel staff was friendly, but the maids did not come in and give us fresh towels. The hotel was quite busy with people walking through to go to the Grand Wayne or Embassy. This was not the private hotel we had hoped for.”

• Proximity to additional sites.
• No refrigerators/micro for special milk needs some of the electric outlets did not work. Room was not cleaned until 5pm next day.

“The accommodations are ok for business traveler. Not very family oriented. Small pool (not very clean). Hotel food options not child friendly. No refrigerators or microwaves for special needs such as milk. Trash cans in the room very tiny. Could barely fit any items in them. Room was not cleaned/fresh towels until 5pm the next evening. Electrical outlets did not function. Most hotels offer some type of breakfast free. Nothing, but coffee was free.”

• Beautifully appointed room with great bedding and clean floors.
• Some of the meals had some problems which were quickly rectified by staff.

“A great centrally located hotel with convenient above ground walkways from parking lot and to theaters. Across the street from the conservatory, which is small but worth the visit? Rooms are definitely above average, with cushy bedding and heating system which is noiseless and comfortable.”

• The phone didn't work properly, no night light, closet light didn't work.

“The hotel was great. Staff was exceptional and very professional. Parking was a breeze and included in the room (validated parking). The only complaint I had was that the telephone didn't work properly. Also, I like to leave a light on in the bathroom or closet to provide a sliver of light (like a night light). That didn't work in this hotel. The closet light was not working and a single switch controlled lights in the W.C. And lavatory areas which was a bit too bright. But it was a minor inconvenience. Overall the stay was delightful.”

• Internet access was down and still not restored by check out.

“We were hesitant about staying in a downtown area, as traffic is always bad & parking can be tedious. The Hilton ft Wayne downtown is in a pretty high traffic area, & to make matter worse the main street it sits on was under total re construction. The parking garage is across that street & the hotel charges $7/day for self parking there. Everything was great during our stay, very nice looking & modern hotel, with 2 restaurants. Room service was very moderately priced compared to most hotels, and the food was delicious. Our biggest disappointment was losing internet access during the night, and it still wasn't up & running by check out. This seems to be a mostly business type hotel with the conference center next door, so not having internet access was a huge disappointment. Business travelers need net access. I was not thrilled to be directed to a local coffee shop or library for free wireless. If the internet had been up & running and the construction noise/traffic/debris wasn't there, this would have been a great hotel.”

• Nice brand toiletries, feather pillows, the bar/lounge area was beautiful, more upscale ice bucket, etc.
• The hotel staff wasnt very friendly.

“The hallways, lobby, bar/lounge, etc. In the Hilton are very beautiful much more so than the actual rooms themselves. There is no continental or breakfast provided of any kind you have to pay to eat breakfast in the restaurant. Our overall stay was okay. But I would rather stay in a holiday inn express, or some other hotel that provides free breakfast and has rooms that are just as nice with friendlier staff. Really, at the Hilton you are just paying extra for snootiness, and the lavish decor of the hallways and lobby, rather than a more lavish room.”
