• Updated to match other Marriotts I've stayed at.
• No elevator. No continental breakfast.

“This hotel was among many on the same block. It was older and may have been purchased and updated. Main drawback was no elevator. The layout was a large circle. My room was very far from the lobby stairs. Closest parking would have me at the back of the hotel and right near a dumpster. Other Marriotts I've stayed at, had continental breakfast, but there was pay only dining.”

• Exceptionally clean. Very nice staff and great breakfast.
• The pool was being renovated.

“This hotel was extremely clean and the staff was great. We got a free breakfast because we are Marriott Rewards members and we could upgrade to a full buffet for $3 more. We even got a cute poem and Hershey Kisses on our check out day.”

• Friendly staff.

“We're grandparents on an overnight to visit the Ft. Wayne Zoo with our daughter and her 2 small children. The hotel is dated but well-kept. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful and the children loved the pool, which goes from inside to outside.”

• The staff were very professional and accommodating.
• It just did not meet the expectations I had.

“The hotel was OK, the staff were professional and courteous. The hotel was fairly clean. The beds were too soft and uncomfortable. The pool was OK except for the paint on the floor was peeling and their were bugs floating in the water.”

• Staff was very pleasant.
• The indoor pool is the size of a bathtub; very disappointing. The mattresses were not Marriott quality.

“The door into the hallway did nothing to stop noise. Had to complain about very noisy neighbors well past midnight. Slamming doors, running in hall. Problem finally corrected around 1:00 AM by staff.”

“My husband went to checkout and was told his credit card had been declined. This was puzzling to him, but he opted to just pay his incidentals in cash. So he paid and change and left. He later contacted me to find out why our corporate card had been declined. I called the bank and was informed that the hotel had processed a charge for $3 a few days ago, and today put through a charge. I knew there was no way we owed the hotel, so I called the hotel and the phone was answered by the young lady my husband had dealt with this morning. I asked her what had happened, and she spoke in very broad general terms, stating it was just a miscommunication and the manager had been working all morning getting it straightened out. I asked her specifically what had been done and she would only say it had been taken care of. So I then ask to speak to the manager, I admit I was quite frustrated by the lack of information forthcoming from the young lady and did voice my frustration, and then was subjected to desk persons reprimand, lecturing me on how I should be behaving on our call, and if I didn't toe the line then he was not going to help me. Well he then asks me which credit card of the three we had used there I was referring to, which was strange, because the only one he used was our corporate card, then he wanted the three digit security code off the back of the card. Why? I still don't know, I really could not get any clear information or assistance out of him. I asked for his supervisor and he replied that he has ultimate authority and he did not have a supervisor and I was going to have to deal with him. I did not appreciate his condescending tone at all. I finally hung up out of frustration and called Marriott/Courtyard helpline. The young lady was responsive and very helpful, she was able to compel desk person to call my bank and remove the charge. I have seen hotels put a hold on cards for a given amount to cover incidental.”

• The pool and hot tub were clean.
• The beds were very HARD.

“Good location, rooms are clean, even has a pool and hot tub but the beds are the hard and they charge for breakfast. If you can get by the bed and no free rasin bran for breakfast this place is for you.”

• Pool and hot tub were clean.
• The beds are rock hard. One of the worst I have ever slept on.

“It has a few meeting rooms as well as a pool and hot tub. The location is good for the north side of town and not a long drive Downtown. The rooms are clean but the beds hard. The breakfast bar is not free. They even charge for toast. There were not many takers for breakfast as restaurants are in close proximity.”

• This hotel had all of the amenities I was looking for: a pool, fitness room, free internet and a comfortable modern room.
• The pool is in open view of everyone in the lobby and is a bit small for doing laps.

“This is a great modern, clean, comfortable hotel. The fitness room is small but has a great selection of machines. The pool and whirlpool looked clean and inviting but were in the open view of those in the lobby and lounge. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed and a great bonus of free internet. Overall this hotel had everything I was looking for while traveling on business at a great price.”

• Some of the staff was very friendly some was not.
• The room was not as clean as to be expected did not even have phone book for your convenience.

“The staff was very nice when we first checked in. but then we went out for the evening and come back the front desk worker was not very friendly because she said she has had several complaints that night and was taking it out on us.”

• Climate control was too quiet. I like more white noise to sleep.

• Wow! What a vision.
• I found several hairs in the bathtub. Hairs that should have been found by the housekeeping inspector/supervisor.

“Overall very nice stay, staff was excellent. I was surprised the front desk staff was not wearing uniforms. But I am in the hotel industry and doubt anyone else would notice. The hair in the tub was a huge turnoff. The room itself was nice but slightly outdated. But I really enjoyed it.”

• Close to glen brook mall.
• Management is extremely poor!

“I booked this room weeks in advance for convention and took the only room available w/was the Jacuzzi suite w/ a sofa bed. When we pulled it out to settle down for the night the sofa bed was so broke down that no one could sleep on it. We went to the front desk to get a second roll away and were told they were all gone a pillows and blankets were handed to us and we were told to sleep on the floor. After several attempts to contact a manager a call had to be placed to the chains 800 number. We canceled a second night stay and went across the street to a better hotel, only to find that our credit card had been charged for the second night that we canceled. Took several days and another phone call to the 800 to get things resolved. Very poor management!”

“I did not like the fact that there was work going on at the hotel. If I'm going away from work, I don't want to stay at a hotel that there is work going on. I called the hotel and found out that there was two beds in the room. We had two beds and this was suppose to be a get away for the two us.”

• Everything was clean, pool & swings were nice.
• $20 charge to my credit card for "incidentals" that I wasn't told about.

“Our stay was wonderful, cute courtyard with porch swings, very relaxing. Only drawback was after I got home and saw a $20 charge on my bank acct. Called and was told that I was charged $20 when I checked in in case I had any "incidentals" like movies, etc. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. 4 days later and still not reversed.”

“This was not a good selection. It was very low standard compared to other hotels I have stayed at with your company. Was very disappointed with this hotel, the staff said nothing to all the kids yelling, running, and screaming down the halls.”

• Have to cut across four lanes of traffic to get to the hotel coming from 69 north's.
