• Location, location, location. It's on the electric bus line. This feature puts all the Downtown Chattanooga attractions just outside the door.
• The hotel is starting to get dated.

• Dirty, small window, HVAC did not work, and the room smelled of chlorine.

“Hotel was filthy, particularly the pedestrian way to the parking garage and the window mullions as viewed from escalator between floors 1 and 2. Breakfast service adequate at best. Parking poor.”

• Very nice lobby, pools and exercise room.

“A very congenial and attentive staff. Hotel is located next to a convention center in the off season. I reasoned this is was why everyone had time to talk. The Hotel restaurant was closed I assume because it was off season, the desk clerk didn't say just that it was closed. Convenient parking garage nice, no where else to park $10 please $14 for valet. Not so nice.”

• Very nice hotel and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
• Our room had dust on the tops of counters that you could write your name in. No one had dusted in those areas in weeks.

“The hotel was great with the exception of the dust. We only live about a hour away, and when I got home, I realized I had left a 2nd purse I had taken with me. I called, they located the purse and offered to ship it to me free of charge! That truly made up for all the dust in our room and more! I so appreciate them for that! The purse was the most expensive one I own, a anniversary gift from my husband. I got the purse and everything that was in it!”

• Bed was so soft. Good toiletries. Nice indoor and outdoor pools.
• The air conditioning was not ice cold but it was nearly 100 outside.

“We enjoyed out stay at the Marriott. Nice pools, great bedding and loved the bath and body toiletries. We walked 1 block to the City Diner Cafe. Open 24 hours and great for a late night snack. The free shuttle service was a nice touch. Great to take down to the riverfront. Enjoyed a free concert riverfront. Would stay here again.”

• The desk staff were friendly and prompt. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.
• $15 parking fee.

• clean, well deccrated room
• when checked in, asked front desk for extra blanket, but nobody sent it to our room.

“too big, not convenient to some point. the hotel charges $14 for one parking per day.we had 2 cars, and had to spent $37 for breakfast at hotel each day. add them together we didn't save money. moved out to another hotel later.heard other people talking about the same situation too.”

“The Marriott Convention Center is in a great location in Chattanooga, convenient to all major attractions and on the free trolley line which takes you all over the city. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a full non-smoking hotel which is fantastic as no smoke is traveling thru the ventilation systems. This hotel has NOT been updated and feels old and a little musty; I feel that it is a 2.5 star hotel and not an "upscale" place at all. However, I would trade the updating for a non-smoking hotel any day.”

• Convenience was a big plus, room was very nice except bathroom was a bit cramped in a corner room.
• Having to pay for parking definitely was not a plus for this hotel. Discount was given which helped.

“The hotel was quite nice, beds very comfortable, and nice amenities. The restaurant was slow, but the food was good. We were eating late, so that may have been the problem. Room Service was reasonably priced. If you have young children, the counter in the bathroom is quite tall so you might want to have a hard suitcase or something for the children to stand on.”

• We liked the exterior elevators.
• Door lock had to be replaced, suicide parking garage elevator.

“Not a bad place to stay. Very busy the weekend we were there. There seemed to be quite a wait for the elevators, even though there were 4. Comfy beds, nice but small bathrooms. Cool reading lights on the beds. Windows need replaced or repaired. Pool deck was uneven, and had loose slabs.”

• Bathroom was very small in comparison to the another room rented a few weeks prior.

“Everything was great except our room was not serviced the second day. On the first day, housekeeping stopped me in the hall and asked if I wanted it cleaned. Apparently you are supposed to track down housekeeping and beg them to clean the room every day.”

“Probably a 25 year old hotel (I know since I grew up in Chattanooga) but the rooms must have been recently renovated. The rooms were clean with upscale furnishings + granite in the bath. Overall very nice.”

• The electric trolleys had a regular stop at hotel. Very convenient.
• Wished nice hotels like this didn't cost so much, but that is why they are nice.

“We didn't have any problems with this hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful, it was in a good location, trolley ride to the downtown area. We will stay there again one day.”

• The furnishings in the room were new and the bedding was very comfortable.
• We were on floor below ongoing renovation. Very loud sawing at 730 am was ridiculous.

“The rooms were furnished very well and large. The bedding was very comfortable and the large LCD television was nice. We were in a room below a floor that was being renovated. Work started at 7:30 am and I woke up to a saws all shaking my room at that early hour while on vacation. The hotel was practically empty so there was no reason to put us on that floor. The vending machines were empty and you could not see the bottom of the pool. The gift shop (only place to get a snack) was not open on the posted hours. The desk staff was clueless. When you called downstairs you spoke to someone in another office. The maitre'd was very helpful with directions and the parking attendants were great as well. Would stay there again, but would insist on a room several floors away from renovation and bring my own snacks.”

“Chattanooga was the friendliest place I have ever been to and it all started when my fiancé and I drove up to the hotel. The valet took care of the car and bags for us while we checked in at the desk. While checking in, and without asking, the woman behind the desk gave us a room on the top floor with a beautiful view over the city (My Fiancé wouldn't believe me that I didn't book the concierge level). Moments later our baggage arrived. After freshening up, we got some excellent advice from the bellhop on where to eat, drink and shop. During our stay we took all his advice and were not disappointed at any of his suggestions.”

• We had two full size beds which are fairly small for two people.

“I would stay there again, nice pillow top beds, clean rooms, nice pool, easy to get to downtown location. Parking is an extra fee.”
