• Room in great condition - very pleasing to the eye.
• Hot tub broken, hotel staff did not inform - poor bathroom in room.

“Great for business travelers who want to be pampered in their room. Bed was nicer than most, but my room mate said the mattress was too soft (is that possible?). Bathroom was like a sardine can, and after the remodel - the under counter pipes and faucets were exposed. No room - no usual for a hotel supposedly this nice. Meal in restaurant was good, but for the price paid - save your money and go down the street to Applebee's or others.”

• It was easy to find, had good restaurants and stores in the area. It was pretty clean.
• There was a mold problem in the bathroom that they had tried to paint over, and some mold in the pool.

“Over the entire Hotel was pretty clean and in a good location. I was disappointed in the molded bath tub and bathroom ceiling that they had tried to cover with paint. The pool also had a little mold. The sauna (which I only glanced in) had dirty towels on the floor. I would have complained to the front desk but I was only staying one night and had brought my on bathtub cleaner.”

• Comfortable beds.
• Minor repairs needed in many locations of hotel.

“Fire alarm went off repeatedly beginning at 4:30 a.m. Staff apologized at 5:30 a.m. When we finally gave up and left but at that point we hadn't been able to sleep. Other than that, it was fine. Walls and doors are rather thin if you follow my meaning.”

• I liked the size of the room, the sheets were especially soft.
• Way too many kids were staying there the night/morning we were there.

“The hotel was in a great location. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless. The Italian coffee that they provided you with certainly didn't hurt! The access to the internet was helpful; we were trying to find a restaurant.”

“What a wonderful hotel the staff was great and my granddaughter made friends with some of the kids at the pool. Everyone was very friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I would stay here again next time I am visiting Grand Rapids.”

• The bed, swimming pool, actual glassware. single serve coffee/tea amount of pillows.
• No mini fridge.

“This motel was spotlessly clean, had a great location and the staff was very friendly. Parking was secure and the pool area was also spotless. Had a great stay for the money.”

• Hotel did not offer Jacuzzi rooms.

• The hotel bar closed early Friday night.

“Second year in a row we stayed there during our consumer fishing show at the DeVos Place. The drive is a little far after the long day, but you can't beat the price for the quality of hotel!”

• Attractive, clean, friendly staff.
• Walls are paper thin - noise level was obnoxious (kids running, slamming doors, etc).

“Had great expectations for this visit, arrived Saturday night and got a room on the 3rd floor (next to the stairs and close to the end with the pool). Big mistake! Kids were running rampant on the 4th floor and you can hear what people are saying in the hall better than you can hear your partner in your own room! Staff did help to take care of the noise but, unfortunately, the parents of the children just let them run wild. Don't think that I would stay here again simply due to the lack of noise control.”

• Wish the beds were queen size instead of double.

“Older hotel which has been nicely remodeled. Workout room has quality new equipment - very nice for this size hotel. Bathroom was small - room large. Plenty of room for an aero bed on the floor. Room comfort units are quite loud if you like to keep the fan on to ground out background noise.”

• Comfortable bed/linens, good size, pay TV.
• Cold ceramic floor, shower head to high to move, no fan in washroom.

“I found this hotel attractive and the room a good size, but I would think being on the main floor the ceramic floor would incorporate radiate heating as the floor was cold. There was no fan in the washroom and the shower head was so high that I could not reach it. There was wasted space for the foyer and the washroom was very small (bad design). No local newspaper at the each door to a suite.”

• The pool was cold. We only booked a hotel to swim. Left hotel 30 minutes after check-in.

“We reserved a room at a local Hilton in order to spend the afternoon and evening swimming with the children. The pool water was 65 degrees. The air temp in the enclosure for the pool was 64 degrees. Could not swim. Left without being refunded. Called Hilton twice to complain. Both times promised the General Manager would call back. Never received a call. Ruined weekend for the family after a great deal of planning.”

• Very comfortable sleeping arrangements, as well as good breakfast options.
• The room service was quite expensive; due to pricing, it was more convenient to eat elsewhere. The room was nice, but it was somewhat small.

“Overall, I recommend the hotel. My stay was quiet, but I expected the room facilities to be larger. The room was clean, the hotel has nice amenities, and the bed was extraordinarily comfortable.”

“An excellent place that lives up to the Hilton name. My room had brand new decor including granite counters and tiles in bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.”

• The bathroom did not have a fan and there was mold on the ceiling. The decor was outdated.

• It appeared to be updated and done tastefully.
• Cleanliness and non-responsiveness of the security to quiet the teens down.

“The first room we had had a few problems. When we pulled back the sheets we found that there was food on the sheets. The hair dryer was missing. The room service card was filled out by the previous person who occupied the room. I do not think the room was cleaned before we came. They did give us another room and it was outside the elevator. We were traveling for a tennis tournament and it was very loud, I called to complain (which I never have to do when I travel) and it still did not help, the hallway was very noisy with teens yelling at midnight.”

• The location on 28th street was great.
• The ash tray just outside the exit always smelled awful.

“Though I loved the location of the hotel, my car was robed in the parking lot. I don't remember leaving it unlocked, but my leather jacket and all my cash and change in my console disappeared. I searched everywhere for my jacket, thinking I just misplaced it; but once I realized my money was gone too, I understood what happened.”

• It was clean, convenience and comfortable.
• We had a problem with wedding guests that were drunk.

“We will stay again. Everything was nice, clean and in a convenient place for us. The only problem we had was a wedding party that were drunk and noisy in the hallways. It took two calls to the front desk and a couple of hours before the situation was calmed down. Management was very apologetic the next morning.”

• Coffee maker in room made 2 cups but no way to keep them warm - like regular coffee makers better.

• We liked the location to airport and family members.
• The hotel is dated, hall is dark and has a smell, and the selection at the lobby 'store' is very limited.

“Although close to airport and relatives, it is not the expected 3Star hotel and we won't stay there again. Although clean the hotel is dated and hallway has an unpleasant smell, the staff is competent and responsive.”

• I thought the bedding was excellent, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and workout facility.
• The parking lot was blocked off for repairs, and the elevator wasn't working.

“Nice place to stay, not a whole lot of extra frills, clean, friendly, and convenient location. Love the down bedding, but could use a refrigerator in the room.”

• The room was very nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and cool.
• The parking lot was being re-paved, but not a big deal.

“I was very pleased with my experience at the Airport Hilton. The hotel was clean looking and smelling, the pool was immaculate, the staff was friendly and responsive, and room was nice and cool, the beds were comfortable, the wireless access worked on first attempt, and it was quiet at night. I loved it!”
