• Loved the well-stocked kitchen, and the room was very spacious.
• The mattress was horrible, and was very difficult to sleep.

“Very clean room with a well-stocked kitchen. Hotel was a little tricky to get to, we missed it the first time. My only complaint was the mattress. It was quite uncomfortable, really sagged in the middle. Other than the mattress, the hotel facilities were excellent. The staff was especially friendly and helpful.”

• This was our first experience at a Residence Inn. It was awesome! Breakfast was good, and one night we even had dinner provided. We'll be back!

“We loved it. Private entrance, plenty of room to spread out with the kids. The pool was nice and warm, even though it was outdoors. The breakfast was great, and we even had dinner provided one night. The staff was super-friendly too.”

• Nicely decorated, extremely comfortable bed & bedding, very clean!
• Didn't care for the frozen fruit used at breakfast-they did have fresh bananas though.

“Overall great stay! Breakfast was good-nice selection and the coffee was good and appreciated the flavored creamers but my personal preference for fruit is fresh, not frozen - it wasn't terrible but it was still a little bit frozen.”

• Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Great breakfast
• I didn't like that I had to go outside in the pouring rain to get to breakfast and the fitness room.

“Hotel was nice and staff friendly. Good location in Kalamazoo. Halfway between downtown and mall. It was very inconvenient given the time of year to walk outside to get to breakfast and the fitness center.”

• The hotel was very clean and they offered an awesome breakfast!
• The people in the room above us were VERY loud, the desk made contact with them once after we called but it only stopped the noise for 5 or 10 mins.

• We enjoyed our stay probably more then anywhere else before. The staff was awesome and the room was very clean. Breakfast was restaurant quality.
• The TV was confusing, charged us 14 dollars for a 3 minute music video when we were just trying to find regular TV but the lady took it off nicely.

“Would stay again next year when we visit there for the holidays.”

• Very friendly staff, huge rooms, well stocked and clean.
• Do not generally like outside access doors, prefer the safety of inside entry.

• It's like a small condo, full kitchen, working desk, couch & king size bed.
• Slight odor in the room.

• We liked how clean it was and the space of the rooms.
• They did not have an indoor pool.

“Everybody was very nice even though they didn't have an indoor pool, they aranged for their guest to use the pool at the hotel next to them. Everything was very clean even under the couch. We had a great stay.”

• Incredible bed, quiet rooms, excellent amenities, efficient and polite staff.
• Nothing.

“The Marriott Residence Inn in Kalamazoo is highly recommended for a stop-over or a short stay with excellent rooms in modular structures making for easy access and a very quiet overnight experience. The free breakfast is superb, the staff is ultra-helpful, and the pool and hot tub were just perfect -- all was right. We stayed here on our way to Milwaukee and again on our return trip because of the experience on the first night. And we plan to return here in the next six months so we can explore Kalamazoo, which we learned has a lot of interesting attractions. You won't be disappointed at the Marriott Residence Inn on Kilgore in Kalamazoo.”

• Spacious rooms, heated outdoor pool, included full hot buffet breakfast.
• TV in room should be bigger & more modern.

“Excellent mid-range hotel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds & bedding were in very good condition. Kitchen was well stocked with all necessities in terms of glassware & utensils (except for scissors). Outdoor heated pool is excellent, and kept at a warm temperature. The full hot breakfast buffet was very good, especially considering it was included with the price of the room.”

• The location was convenient for my needs.
• The bed was old and needed replacing badly, plus the room was dated.

“Generally speaking the stay was about what I expected, but the bed was old and sagging and therefore uncomfortable. The comp breakfast is typical and could offer more choices. The staff was pleasant and helped willingly when asked.”

“Nicely laid out clean room with full kitchen (unexpected and unused), nice layout with rooms in separate buildings. Very good free breakfast. Very courteous staff. Did not use well equipped exercise room or pool. Good location for me near airport (but no airport noise). Would be very good for extended business stay if eating/cooking in room.”

• Comfortable room, hot breakfast choices with a good selection.
• Only upon check out did they inform us that the indoor pool at Hampton Inn available for our use. Outdoor pool on a cold, rainy day at our hotel.

“Nice, clean room. Includes kitchen with dishes. Plenty of room to be comfortable or entertain guests. Has an outdoor pool, but we were told upon checking out that the (next door) Hampton Inn's indoor pool is available for use of this hotel's guests. They should have let us know when we called to confirm our room or when checking in.”

• Quiet, comfortable, clean. Easy on/off expressway. Nice breakfast.
• Bathtub drain had a serious problem. The channels, which I didn't know about or wouldn't have stayed there.

“We were surprised to find our room had a small living room and kitchen! Nice if we were traveling or staying longer, but this was just a quick overnight. A bit outdated, but comfortable and clean. Had problems with a very slow tub drain, which I let them know about and they said a repair man would be looking at it. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.”

• The hotel grouped us with friends and the breakfast was great.
• It was cold outside but only had outdoor pool and only found out after that we could have shared the next door pool.

“This hotel was very nice and accommodating. They made sure 3 families were all together with nearby rooms. The Breakfast was wonderful and the women working with the food were very kind and helpful. The rooms were very spacious.”

• A+ staff and spacious, comfortable, functional well appointed rooms.
• It rained? Actually nothing - it completely exceeded my expectations.

“If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet, convenient hotel in Kalamazoo where you can work, cook, relax, and entertain clients, this is the place for you. The guest rooms are suites actually, and they are attractively decorated and fully equipped. The staff is friendly and eager to be helpful, and the complimentary breakfast is outstanding!”

• I liked having my own kitchenette.
• The place was kind of grimy, could be cleaner.

“I had a very disturbing experience at this hotel in which they gave my room away to another person after I had already checked in. This guy walked into my room while I was in bed. It was very scary and I did not receive any explanation or reimbursement for the incident. If you stay here please make sure to put lock the door and put on the chain.”

• Good location, just off I-94, yet quiet.
• In-room-internet not working on the night we were there, however could use lobby internet if needed.

“Nice, clean Inn. Good location, just off I-94 and an easy drive (15-20 min) to WMU or downtown Kazoo. Comfortable bed, room met our expectations. No complaints, would stay there again.”

• Rooms are almost like suites, (kitchen & sofa, friendliness of desk people, breakfast.
• Noisy during night room does not keep out highway sounds or people coming in and out at 3 and 4 in the morning.

“Rooms are clean and pleasant, nice to have a kitchen. Staff was very friendly. Location is very good. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Full kitchen in each room, was very nice for keeping leftovers and beverages.
• Shower was not clean. Mildew was growing on the undersides of the fixtures.

“This was a nice place to stay for a short term. The kitchen had a good sized refrigerator, and nice dishwasher and microwave. The only thing that surprised me was that I was charged $0.75 for each local call I made, though that they charged for local calls was not clearly posted by the telephone. Also they accept pets, though there is no difference in cost from 1 night or 30 nights, which makes it expensive for a weekend stay.”

• The accommodations were room and comfortable. Excellent counter space in the bathroom area.
• TV set needed to be propped in position for viewing.

“We found the Residence Inn to be very comfortable and convenient. The room was nicely appointed and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the heating (it was winter) was very responsive and manageable. Bathroom was very clean with separated facilities. Towels were soft and plush. A totally pleasant experience!”

• All Res Inn have a "studio" room. Full kitchen is great. Stove, fridge, microwave and cozy. Good breakfast too.
• Nothing really.

“Have stayed here 3 times over the years. I prefer a Residence Inn to most any hotel there is. Rooms are spacious and love that they have a full size kitchen.”

• The staff was very helpful, friendly and personable.
• The only thing we could have used was a shelf in the shower to hold toiletries.

“We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was exceptional, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were great and the lounge area was comfortable we brought our lunch in and played games at the tables. And the breakfast buffet was very good. Person at the breakfast bar was so friendly and helpful and so was the person at the front desk. We really enjoyed them.”
