• Location.
• The bathroom had moldy showers. I reported it. No one responded.

“Location great! Service was not that of a typical Courtyard. I've stayed a various Marriott facilities before and they have always exceeded my expectations. This is first because I have yet to hear a response from my complaint.”

• They opened the pool uniquely for us and our party in after hours, they upgraded us to a suite, they went out of their way to accomadate us

“The staff really made this hotel. They went out of their way to please both me and my husband and the other family members in our party. We were keeping odd hours as another daughter was giving birth that weekend and we were in and out of our rooms at odd times. Our party also included small children (2 - 5 years) and they accomodated them also. instead of a king we were placed in a suite which then gave us a meeting room. Very nice personell.”

• The staff were friendly and the cleaning people were ready to clean up after the kid's mess.
• The lock on our room had something wrong with it and we had to change rooms which caused an inconvenience.

“The hotel was very nice and was in a convenient location. They changed our room to the type we wanted which made our stay there more enjoyable. The staff and managers were very friendly and helpful. The rooms had adequate lighting and were dark enough in the morning for us to sleep.”

• Pool closes at 8 p.m. No one can swim that early.

• Hot tub was broken

“The one disappointment of this hotel was that the hot tub was broken during our stay. Since it was raining and thundering outside, it would have been nice to have at least used this as an alternative to the outdoor pool.”

• recently rooms have been refurbished
• Outdoor courtyard area needs to be cleaned and trimmed, gazebo needs to be cleaned and painted

“Very disappointed the outdoor swimming pool was closed and the indoor whirlpool was not working. There was no sign at check-in desk to indicate either of these problems and no one informed us of it. While the rooms have been refurbished, the bath rooms still needed some work.”

• This hotel was simply awesome! Close to lots of things! and Wal-Mart!!

• They offer a manager's reception every night as well as free internet access.
• Breakfast prices are a bit high.

“This place was great. Our room was immaculate. The bed spreads and carpets seemed to be quite new. The sales manager at this hotel provides a light snack and discounted alcoholic beverages for guests each night. They have a computer and printer, which they allow guests to use for free! I would happily stay here again.”

• The room smelled a bit musty which was odd because the carpet and all of the furnishings were new. Internet not working-big problem for us

“This hotel was nice and newly remodeled. It was convenient to the places I was going. I was only planning to stay overnight if I got a good hotel at a good price because I was planning to be busy shopping and really only needed a place to sleep.There was a mild musty odor and raising the windows for a few hours helped. The hotel had no more nonsmoking rooms available so we could not move. We could not get the internet working and my husband had an important email due by midnight. The staff that we spoke with encouraged us to contact the manager the next morning but it was too late.”

• the outdoor pool area was great .. we spent most of saturday around the pool
• no comp breakfast

“the room had been recently renovated.. the carpet was basically brand new and very clean... the staff was very friendly especially the lady at check in that accomodated my request for a king size bed overlooking the pool area..”

• The cost of the breakfast buffet was very costly.

• The walk from my parking spot to the door was too long.

“Excellent staff in and out. Clean, well-equipped room. Very good bed that enabled a good night's rest. Nice pool for a morning swim. Average breakfast. Clean property that belied the property's outside appearance. Excellent location for reaching my business and personal appointments. Easy access to Louisville's unique restaurants.”

• The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly
• they charged $3.00 for a 1 liter bottle of water in the rooms

“The breakfast buffet was wonderful a little pricey however Irina was such a great hostess/waitress that it was worth the extra $$ to stay and eat at the hotel rather than go to Bob Evans & Perkins (right accross the street).”

• I was placed on the 4th floor which happens to be the smoking floor. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke.

“Actually this was our second stay at this same hotel. The stay was very pleasant. We stayed 2 nights and did not have any problems. It is conveniently located near the highway and only minutes from shopping.”

• Person On duty was very friendly & the beds were great.

“We arrived at nearly midnight and the clerk on duty was very nice, had our reservation right up front and we were checked in quickly which was very nice after 10 hours of driving. When we stopped by later to purchase some soda he was busy but took note of what we purchased and said he'd charge it to the room...again no waiting. That was great. The room was also very clean and the beds were great.”

• The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful.
• The room could use a good spring cleaning. Not that it was dirty, but walls, baseboards, etc. had not been cleaned in a while.

“For the price and the experience I give it an overall high rating. I would be more than happy to stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.”

“The Courtyard is a very nice and clean Hotel with a very friendly staff. It is located conveniently off I-64 and has plenty of restaurants to choose from in any price range. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quite. My only complaint is the coffee is terrible.”

“We arrived late and the hotel was sold out. Someone was already in one of our rooms so two of our party had to sleep in a smoking room. Not fun the night before a big race. They did offer to set up a continental breakfast for us for free the next morning. They however, had not set it up at the time they agreed and told us to eat from the buffet.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for some suggestions for a good place to eat and the desk clerk sent us to an excellent restaurant. The rooms were a little small compared to the Marriott Courtyard in Chicago, but it was adequate space.”

“The lobby and courtyard of the hotel was very nice. What surprised and disappointed us the most about the hotel was that our sheets and pillow cases had hair and a few dirt smudges on them. I expect better from a property with the name Marriott.”
