• Convenient, nice view, friendly staff.
• Lumpy bed, needs upgrading all around.

“The end rooms, which we had, should be upgraded to reflect the great view and romantic theme to the Jacuzzi rooms. Old mattress, Jacuzzi, and TV need to be upgraded, as well as carpeting. Since it was only 2-star, not so bad, but somewhat overpriced for the amenities.”

• Location, pools, and food.
• Towel supply for rooms was depleted when we checked in on a Sunday.

“It is obvious that the hotel staff is trying to keep up with the peak summer season. Staying there when it is not the peak season is always better. We did not complain, but it is obvious that others complaints have worn on some of the desk staff. They should be reminded that not all guests are crybabies.”

• The beach is great, as is the outdoor patio.
• We had a smoking room because it was the only room available at that price.

“The hotel is conveniently located on Traverse City's West Bay and it is only blocks from the downtown area of shops and restaurants. The hotel has its own beach and an outdoor patio on the lake.”

• Close to downtown and beach.
• Indoor pool closed.

“Great location for walking downtown and on the beach. Hotel bar was reasonably priced and the night club wasn't as noisy as others who had reviewed it. Would go back.”

• I really enjoyed the whirlpool in the room.
• You could feel the springs in the bed and the pillows are very small.

“Overall the hotel itself was fine. I was just disappointed by the beds. They were rather stiff, you could feel the springs through the matters and the pillows were pretty small and it made it difficult to get comfortable. I had much better sleep at the last two hotels I stayed at which were both Marriott¿s.”

• Bottle cap next to my bed.

“Overall clean. Liked the sheets tripled. Friendly staff. Liked that dogs are welcome.”

• King size bed was great.
• Nothing available in hotel for a late night snack.

“The room was comfortable, though there were few guests that weekend our room was the farthest it could possibly be from the elevator, pool or other amenities.”

• Proximity to downtown.
• Can clearly hear people in next room.

“I booked a non-smoking, quiet room. Was given choice of room about night club or smoking room. I could clearly hear the people next door, and when their alarm clock went off at 5:30 am. Was surprised that wasn't a continental breakfast available.”

• Outside patio Bar with band in Evening. Sports bar and Beach located on Hotel grounds. Jet Ski rental and Boat rental available.
• Electronic door key hard to use.

“Love this hotel for summer stays. Beach front property, Jet Ski and boat rental. Outside patio bar with nightly entertainment. Centrally located for date trips to mackinaw island or sleeping bear dunes.”

• Give different prices to different people, do not favor priority club customers.
