“Halls carpets very dirty, room generally OK. The walls were very thin, so we could hear kids crying above us, in the hallways and dogs barking throughout the hotel. Got a good price, so we delt with it.”

• Very clean and well maintained.

“We really enjoyed staying here, it was clean and the staff was friendly. There were only two things i would like to see improved. The whirlpool was kinda dirty, it had something like soap scum in it. Also, the breakfast area was not properly staffed so guests had to ask for things like creamer, waffle mix, etc. I'm not sure if it was because it was the Easter weekend, but normally all LaQuintas have one dedicated breakfast attendant, in this case, the front desk clerk had to check people out and tend to the breakfast area. But all in all it was a very enjoyable stay and the staff strove to make sure you had everything you needed. We will stay here again when we are in Panama City.”

• I really like that the hotel was near shopping centers and near food areas.
• I did not like that we had to drive over 20 mins to drive to the beach.

“The hotel was very clean when we got there, but when housekeeping to our room. They did not change the sheets on the bed, they just made the bed up. Also, house keeping left there cleaning product in our room on the dresser. I would go back but may be if I had a better room.”

• There was nothing I did not like.

• Huge bathrooms.
• No double beds only 1 king size bed in room.

“The hotel is very nice for the price. They have a fridge in the rooms and a huge bathroom. The only thing is the don't have any double beds in any of the rooms only 1 king size bed and some rooms may have a sleeper sofa.”

• I was quite pleased with the convenient location.
• The elevator in this hotel is extremely slow.

“For the most part my stay with La Quinta was pleasant. The rooms were well maintained and kept stocked with fresh towels and clean linens. The majority of the staff was kind and helpful. A note for other travelers; do not arrive before scheduled check in time, you will not be allowed to have access to your room until 4 PM. No exceptions. Plan your travel times accordingly.”

• The swimming area was very nice and the grandkids loved it.
• One of the elevators didn't work and the other was so noisy you were afraid to use it.

“Overall the rooms were nice and the view of palm trees and greenery was very calm and relaxing. The pool was walled in so you weren't exposed to all the traffic and passersby. We enjoyed the stay.”

• The hotel was very clean and family/pet friendly.
• Hallways were not air-conditioned.

“We enjoyed the hotel-my husband used the Jacuzzi and we had our dog with us, so being a pet-friendly hotel was very important to us. Breakfast was terrific and the staff was super friendly and efficient.”

• The bed was nice and big. Comfortable.
• Vanity light in bathroom didn't work. Elevator was horrible.

• The hotel was very clean and had a nice pool and hot tub.
• Too close to the railroad tracks. A train was parked there with some bad smelling stuff in it for the whole week we were there.

• No rooms available when we got there.

“We were very disappointed when checking in "no rooms were available". We traveled 1,000 miles & hoping to get a good night sleep & we hear these words. They did get a room at a nearby hotel but found out later the next day that we had to move back or we'll be paying for the 2nd night at that hotel. A big problem that should never happen.”

• It was a nice clean hotel and would recommend.
• They were understaffed at the time I was there and front desk lady was very rude and not helpful.

“This was a nice hotel right by the mall and many restaurants. However during the time of my stay there they were understaffed and my room would not get cleaned till late evening. Lady at front desk was very rude and lazy. Minus the front desk lady and being understaffed I liked the hotel and would recommend!”

• The management was extremely kind and my room was very clean.
• The breakfast selection was not as big as I thought it would be.

“My stay was nothing less than perfect. I had a bit of trouble checking in, but the staff was more than helpful in helping me out. My room was larger and nicer than I thought it would be, that was a plus! I would recommend others to stay here. The only downfall is its not very close to the beach, but still only about a 20min drive.”

• I enjoyed the pool area especially. It was well-kept and nice.
• I did not like the continental breakfast. It did not have as much variety as I would have liked.

• There is a place that I like to go back.
• I left some chocolate candies at the room, when I came back some of them were missing.

“There is a hotel that offers a comfortable stay, clean, organized, has amenities those every one likes; as gym, pool, hot tube (spa). The breakfast is wonderful.”

• Clean, pleasant property with great staff and wonderful breakfast layout. Front desk and housekeeping were accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.
• Large dog barking on upper floor somewhere. Even if dog-friendly, earplugs are a travel must.

“Stayed for one night in Feb. (10th) for business trip w/hubby and older dog. Superlative staff, including Front desk, Housekeeping and Mgmt. (Donovan?). Property and grounds were well-maintained and in fact, this was one of the nicer LaQuinta we've stayed at. Room was surprisingly spacious, clean and comfy. Truly pet friendly, though it is always good to keep pet away from breakfast area in morning, etc. --which we did. Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend or family member. Wonderful value.”

• Convenience, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful.
• There are few things that I did not like about this hotel.

“The rooms were always clean and spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly on all of my weekend visits for the last 5/6 weeks. It is in a location that is safe and secure even after sun down. The pool looked very nice from our 6th floor view even though we did not use it because of the weather. It seems very important to this hotel to do continuous upgrades as they have had a paint crew in for the last two weekends and it only increased the odds that I would be staying there again in the future should the need arise. Thanks to all the staff at La Quinta Inn, especially the young African American guy at the front desk. He knows who he is! He should in my opinion get a big fat raise! He was always so very nice to us!”

• We really liked the breakfast. Waffles? Wow.
• I did not like that it was a pet friendly hotel. We all have allergies to dogs and they were everywhere.

“I would suggest that the pets not be allowed in the common areas during breakfast time. Dogs were barking after each other and being fed under the tables. My younger son (age 14) sneezed so bad he had to go to our room to eat a pop tart and juice. Im glad you have pet friendly hotels but I don't want animals staring up pet dander while I eat. Also we found too many hairs in our shower. But overall the location was next to daddy's house (walking distance) and near everything.”

• The cleanliness and staff was top notch! I'd definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family!
• Well the one and only thing I did not like about the room was that the table lamps did not work properly and they need more choices of movie channels.

“I loved it! It's close to everything including the mall! It was just a short drive to the water front and the view from the 6th floor was fabulous! They need more movie choices though and the table lamps did not work properly but maybe it was because I didn't hit the right switch or something. It should most deliberately be upgraded to a 3 star! Thank you so much!”

“La Quinta was more than I expected in a hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and it was the perfect room to stay in away from home for a week. My room had a fridge and a microwave and plenty of TV channels. There was a heated outdoor pool with a hot tub, too bad the weather wasn't a bit nicer. There was also a little gym for anyone who had time to keep fit!”

• Teens in pool screaming late at night & hogging pool.

“Clean first 2 days and after not so clean. Would have rather been on the beach. Kind of far (15-20 minutes/too much driving). Side downstairs door stayed unlocked/security hazard. Nice staff, except housekeeping after 2nd night, room not kept very clean. Pool small and crowded, especially at night-after 11 pm. Lots of partying going on. Loud. Overall ok if you can't do better.”

• My kids enjoyed the pool/Jacuzzi.
• Housekeeping didn't change trash or provide clean linen/towel. Asked for them, they told us to come get them.

“The appearance was nice. The guy who registered us was awesome, but the rest of the front desk weren't very friendly. We were told to come and get our own towels, and the next morning they were lying on the floor at our door (8:00 am).”

“I was highly disappointed with my stay at the La Quinta in Panama City. The pool and ice machine were out of order. They allow pets and the neighbors dog barked all night. The cleanliness and location of hotel were below standards. I did not like it at all. I will never go below a 3 star hotel again because you never know what you may get!”

• The evening desk attendant apologized immensely.
• Housekeeping was deplorable. Our room was left dirty and no coffee condiments at the end of the day.
