• This hotel was close to Cracker Barrel.
• The maintenance man came to change a light bulb while we were trying to leave.

• It was easy to get to.
• The bed was hard and the pillows were not comfortable. No juice available at breakfast.

“The hotel was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had a nice selection of items to eat. There was no juice served at breakfast.”

• Good size room, bathroom, free parking, near shopping, restaurants. They have my favorite soft drink.
• Can hear most noises from hallways and adjacent rooms. Needs fridges.

• I liked the help, because they responded quickly to any concerns we had.
• The noise from the upper floor was annoying.

“The location is quiet but if you are not familiar with the area it can be hard to find. The breakfast was good and the dining room tables and floor were clean. The attendant helped us cheerfully with making the waffles and any other needs we expressed. The housekeepers need to vacuum the areas beside the beds. We found remnants of other visitor's trash. But overall I liked the place and was happy with my stay there.”

• Breakfast buffet was excellent.
• Could not check in before 3 pm.

“Great place to stay for the price. We showed up just after 1 pm. and tried to check in but unfortunately there nothing available and that check in was after 3 pm. Our plans would have us gone the rest of the day so that made me a little nervous but I was assured that I have a reservation so we were all set. We arrived back at the hotel at 12:30 am. And I said I have a reservation and the lady at the check-in counter instantly responded with my name, (which took me for a loop) but then realized I must be the reservation. The room was very spacious and was handicapped accessible. Beds were very soft which I kind of like a little firmer mattress. The breakfast fantastic, from hard boiled eggs (my favorite) to a waffle maker and everything in between. We a great way to start the day. Would definitely would stay again.”

• The bed was actually comfortable and the decor was pleasant.
• I wish it would've had a refrigerator.

“The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. I slept very well in the bed which is unusual for sleeping in a hotel. The rooms were quiet and well decorated. I only wish it had a small refrigerator because I am very particular about what I eat and try to eat organic foods as much as possible.”

• During my stay, it snowed over night and in the mornig the hotel staff brushed off the snow of all the cars and trucks in their parking lot.
• Could of used a small bar fridge in the room.

“The hotel was clean, moderate. I was impressed to see that the staff took it upon themselves to clean off the snow from ever car in the parking lot. Nice touch. Cars were free of snow when guests were leaving.”

• It was hidden from the main highway which kept traffic noise to a minimum.
• There was no fridge in room to keep things cool.

“This hotel is an excellent place for mid-week stays. On the weekend we could not get this hotel for an additional night because they are so expensive on the weekends due to the Traverse City area tourist attractions, wine tasting.”

• Great location and staff extremely friendly.
• Room next to ice machine, elevator was very slow.

“My wife and I enjoyed staying here. The staff was very friendly, the room was kept very clean, and there was little noise from other guests. On the negative side the elevator was excruciatingly slow to wait on, the sink was located outside the bathroom which is annoying, and we were located immediately next to the ice machine.”

• We liked the colors used in the room - it was nicely updated.
• The lack of counter space around the sink is very limited.

“Our room was at the end of the hall on the ground level. We did not hear any noise from the parking lot, however at 5 AM we were awakened by someone dragging their luggage down the staircase. The breakfast had the basic morning offering, however the muffins were still frozen.”

“This hotel neglected to let people know they were doing renovations to the whole first floor. It was dirty and scary on the first floor. The rooms were newly renovated and looked nice.”

“This hotel is a hidden treasure, being off the main path and sitting back off the road. The room was extremely clean and larger than I expected. The whole hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. An overall great experience!”

• Close to all amenities, clean, bed comfortable, fresh coffee at front desk.
• Bathroom could have used more grout, only one coffee serving, couldn't each have one without going out.

“Being a first time guest, overall, it was good. It was hard to find at 1st and hard to get to. I liked the ground floor room. I didn't like that the curtains blew everywhere when the fan was on. The hot air couldn't circulate very well. The bed was clean and the pillows were great. It was a pleasant stay and I would go again.”

• The pool and hot tub were nice and no one was in them.
• Kind of far away from everything we did (but well centered).

“I enjoyed my experience. Plus there were renovating the hotel. 3rd floor was done. 2nd floor was being done and the 1st floor was old. We stayed on the old floor but went up the 3rd to check it out and it was really nice. Wish we would have gotten to stay up there. The pool was empty so we were always the only ones there.”

• Economy bathroom and poor cable service.

“This was a great hotel for the cost. There is a competitor right across the street for much more money. They staff was great even though we came in at 1030 PM. I would recommend this hotel for a business trip or just a short stay over. It wasn't really meant for the romantic type stays but it accommodated my needs very well.”

• The Jacuzzi, the staff, Karen - the morning employee, the brunch.
• Hallway by the pool became slipper when wet, I watched several people fall: it was very dangerous.

“The hotel was nice for the price. We had a great time. The pool room was fun. Our hotel room was nice - we had a nice king size bed. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. Part of the morning crew was very nice and exceptionally friendly. One concern: Infection control issues at breakfast - no hand washing or glove changing after emptying the trash or wiping off dirty tables - then directly handling donuts and placing them on the food tray. Not good practice.”

“This hotel is extremely hard to find. It is not visible from the highway you need to drive behind a restaurant and a bank to get to it. Poor signage at the road. It is convenient only to the mall out of the way for Downtown shopping, beaches or a good variety of restaurants.”

• Wonderful continental breakfast.
• The pool was small and extremely over chlorinated.

“We were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and large. The location of the hotel was perfect. The pool, though, was extremely over chlorinated to the point you almost couldn't swim, and the windows were frozen open so there was a cloud over the pool from the cold and warm air meeting. It was so large and thick you almost couldn't see to the other end of the pool. Overall, though, we were extremely pleased!”
