“This hotel was very nice initially. Everyone was pleasant and helpful when checking in; however, when my twin babies cried for 5 minutes at bedtime, we were told we had to move rooms because we were disturbing others. At first, they talked like we were going to have to leave the hotel, but then they told us we would have a problem if they cried during the night so we had to wake one up at 10:00 PM and pack up our two rooms to move to a different floor. Apparently, we missed the sign that said no children allowed because babies are not allowed to cry even for one minute. The night time manager should have handled the situation. The next day at check-out we were compensated for our troubles but not by the manager that was on duty that night. This hotel is very nice for people without children but do not take your babies.”

- The gift shop charged me $10 for something I did not buy charge was removed.
“Outstanding visit, right at the corner of Jefferson and 4th street. 4th street is literally half a block from the hotel. Excellent dining and night life is very close.”

- Did not seem family friendly. Hotel housekeeping was knocking on the door at 7:00 AM!

- Fabulous room!
- Restaurant seemed to never be open.
“I was very pleased with the Hyatt Louisville. The hotel staff at check in was very friendly and gracious. We requested two double beds as this was a girls weekend trip for myself and two friends. The only rooms available were king rooms so the clerk at the desk upgraded us to a business suite and requested a roll away bed be brought to our room. We had just entered the room and sat down our luggage and there was a knock on the door. The roll away bed arrived and proved to be very comfortable! We had an awesome time and I would stay here again.”

- I enjoyed the location of the pool area as I got off of the elevator I was right there.
- Nothing.
“The parking was a little confusing at first but after finding the connector from the parking to the hotel, I was only a couple of minutes from my room. The room was very clean and comfortable. I found the staff to be very accommodating as my husband has some health issues. I enjoyed the pool area, especially with it being on the 4th floor and close to the elevator. Very conveniently located. All in all it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience.”

- Non working elevator, house dick stopped beer from being taken to the room.
“Great location, staff and very clean. Unfortunately one of the 3 elevators was not being used and it took an average of 10 minutes to get an elevator, worse during the busy hours. The House detective stopped two sales representatives from Griffin Radiator from bringing in a 6 pack of beer while many others were able to walk in with it.”

- Staff was good, general entry (the elevators etc) was good. Also had pool and tennis along with small gym that was good.
- Bathroom was not good - flush had problems, shower head was broken.
“The room was good. However, in the bathroom, flush was leaking. When we asked it to be fixed, it was fixed but then it started making some noise. Finally, we went ahead and fixed the problem. Showerhead also as broken and needed replacing. They could have fixed these issues before giving that room to someone as it needed less than half an hour's work total. Also parking available is not free and is actually pretty expensive. Also, you have to pay about $10 per day for internet charge. There were 2 computers available in business area of which one was not working. The staff however was excellent and room itself was pretty good.”

- Slowest elevators ever as had to wait more than 10 minutes.
“I liked the hotel. I was not able to check in at the kiosk. The room was nice. The elevators were excruciatingly slow, though, and we had long waits on several occasions. When we were leaving, we waited for the elevator for more than ten minutes, and several cars passed us by because they were too full. A staff member finally let us use the freight elevator.”

- The hotel was able to give me the smoking and bed preference that I requested and the staff was friendly and helpful in all situations.
- There was not a mini-fridge in the rooms, the elevators were slow.
“This was a wonderful hotel. I was looking for a romantic weekend getaway and this was perfectly for that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the best part about the hotel is the proximity to downtown Louisville. The hotel's front doors were just a walk away from Fourth Street live. The only downside was the slow elevators but overall this was a lovely hotel, the rooms were beautiful with a great view. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency.”

- Parking is $13.00 day even if you are a hotel guest.
“This hotel was very nice. There were a few things that could be helped such as there was a lot of hair in my shower upon arrival, parking was $13.00 per day with in and out privileges for a paying guest and the elevators are packed during check-out. Perks: The view of Louisville, soft mattress fit for a king, a couple of steps from 4th street live and the workers were very courteous!”

However, when we stayed, it was filled with loud and somewhat obnoxious tourists - not the kind of people who usually stay in 3-star hotels. - It was conveniently located in the downtown area.
- I really was livid when I found out that I had to pay 10 dollars a night for parking in the hotel and 15 for the breakfast buffet.
“My overall experience at this hotel was OK there rooms were very well kept and the customer service was excellent I was trying to find the address for a casino so I could enter it into my navigation system and the hotel clerk sat there for 10 minutes trying to help me out. I really appreciated that. However I did not like the fact that I had to pay so much for parking and the breakfast buffet. I expected better in those regards. But the beds were amazingly comfortable.”

- The beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and modern.
- Had to crawl under desk to plug in cell phone & computer. Hotel does not use trash bag liners in trash cans even in the bathroom.

- Do not go to this hotel if your looking to have a good time with friends.
- They wont let you talk in the hotel and you can bring your own beer.
“I was at the hotel for my wedding. We selected this hotel because of its location to the bars. The place was very nice but they keep it like a museum. They will not let you talk in the lobby or in the halls. And they said if we had beer in the rooms they would dump it out. We had just arrived from the wedding and my wife and I were talking and they called security on us because we refused to whisper. Do not stay at this hotel if you want to have any fun.”

- Very clean, decorated well, excellent room service.
- Check out was at noon, but the housekeeping staff came to the door at 10 am asking when we plan to be out of the room. I thought that was rude.

“There was a door adjoining my room with another room, no sound-proofing whatsoever. There was a party going on in that next door room at 1:00-1:30 am, it was so loud it was as if they were in my room. If I had a family with me, would've been a big problem. Not only kept me awake and annoyed, but had to listen to their adult language. Also, when I was doing my own business at the desk, which is next to the door, knew they could hear every word I was saying as well, didn't like that. There was a loud banging that happened consistently throughout the day, sounded like somebody was on the other side of the wall and banging with a fist. Always was in two's. Very annoying! There were only 3 elevators. I was not at the hotel as part of a convention and had no idea it was a hotel that caters to conventions & conferences. During the busiest time of day, dinner time approx 6 pm, the wait for the elevators was beyond belief. Not only did it take forever, but when an elevator finally made it to my floor, it was packed to the gill, and there were up to 10 people on my floor waiting. I eventually decided taking the stairs (from the 9th floor), which was quicker. When I got downstairs, I saw that the middle elevator was not moving, it was at the 2nd floor. So all they had were the two working elevators to service so many guests. I left to have dinner with some friends, when I returned about 2 hours later, I saw that middle elevator still not moving from the 2nd floor. When I told the front desk about it, they had no idea that the elevator was not working, not one of them did, and it was stuck for hours without being looked after. It was pretty poor service to say the least. Will not stay there again, parking & WiFi should be a given. If super 8 can do it, the Hyatt regency could also. Don't make $ of my need to park my vehicle. I regretted not going to Hampton Inn or just a regular place outside of downtown.”

“From the minute we were checked in by a very friendly and informative young gentleman to our final check-out, everything was fantastic. The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up, the view of the river was gorgeous, the cleaning staff was friendly and efficient and it is in a great location next to 4th Street Live and only a few blocks from the river and other downtown amenities. I would definitely return.”

- The rooms were very attractive and modern. The ipod docking station was convenient.
- The lobby seemed less updated than the rooms of the hotel.

- It was elegant. Parking was good for downtown area.
- Called in advance for a room on higher floor. They said it wouldn't be a problem. But once we got there, there were no rooms.
“Overall the room was nice and the stay was. But, we had someone go in our room while we were out and throw our food away. We checked in after 4:00. So, there would be no reason for anyone to go in there. We reported it and the manager did nothing.”

- The decor and the location were both great!
- The selection of channels was not as good as some cheaper hotels I have stayed in. Also, there were significant delays waiting for the elevator.
“The hotel was very nice and was conveniently located next door to the event which I was attending. I had a great view, and everything was clean. The channel selection could be better, but overall, it was a very good value for dollar.”

- There parking garage you had to pay to park.

- Pool tennis exercise room.
- Poor communication about the parking rates.
“Great location with pool, tennis, and exercise room. No one at the hotel knew directions to anywhere. Good thing we asked if they had a map and they did. Has points of interests to everything too! They should give this out to all their guests. Other than that and the parking thing, rooms were decent. Oh and they say they have internet access in the rooms but that ends up costing 10 bucks a day unless you have an account with t mobile.”
