• This place is fantastic!
• The questionable safety of the elevator.

“We enjoyed our stay so much. The atmosphere of this hotel was very nice. We loved the outdoor courtyard with the Christmas music playing and sitting by the fireplace. The only drawback is that we had to leave so soon. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The new tower rooms are very nice & comfortable suite style rooms.
• While very nice, the new tower rooms only had a shower.

• The hotel room was not bad, but it was laid out very well, in need of some remodeling and did not meet my expectations.

• Very clean and comfortable. Great tv
• Our room was facing the inner patio and about 9 am music was playing loud enough that I could hear it from the my bed.

“Over all it was a very good experience. I was NOT crazy about the type of neighborhood it is located in. We came in late (between 11:30pm and midnight). Some shady looking males were hanging out in the parking lot. I was alone with my 2 teenage children and felt very ill at ease as we unloaded our vehicle. A couple a them walked toward us and starred at us. My husband would have been very angry if he had of been with us. Of course they probably wouldn't have done that if he were present! I didn't understand why they were allowed to just hang out in the parking lot. I don't know if they were hotel guests.”

• During the week we We were treated like royalty on Thursday, but on Friday night back to reality.
• The extra guest services went away on Friday night. Obviously business guests are more important than non-business guests.

“Pool and secluded courtyard were beautiful and relaxing and blended right into each other with the pool doors open to the outside on nice days. Great lounge chairs outside for sunning. Room had upscale touches that we really appreciated.”

• Free parking, secure, nice landscaping, nice people, and great room.
• We were locked out of room on second night of stay, front desk resolved quickly.

“The hotel is nice, good parking, felt secure, landscaped grounds. Nice pool and hot tub (although a little small). Room looked recently remodeled with excellent flat screen TV and business hookups. Bathroom was immaculate albeit a little small. They are redeveloping the outdoor patio which should be very nice when finished.”

“This is a great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Nice bedding too. Only about 10 minutes from Lucas Oil Stadium. Will stay again next year when we go to the games.”

• Nice sized room. Friendly staff.
• Very noisy. Outdoor parties going until 2-3AM. Very disruptive.

“The room was adequate, but not 3-Star. There was a Horror Convention along with a Martial Arts tournament taking place the weekend we stayed. There were loud drunken patio parties going on until 2-3 AM which the hotel management didn't deal with. Very difficult to get any sleep. Hi-speed internet was a $9.95 daily charge, which is almost always included these days.”

• Feather beds/pillows/covers.

“Less that I expected from a 3 star hotel. My husband was allergic to the feather bedding and we asked for an alternative. They did not have any available. They could not comp and gave us, what we thought was, a free breakfast. When we got to the restaurant they were only going to offer us the continental portion of the full hot breakfast bar but our waitress told us to go ahead. She was pretty abrupt but we overlooked it because she told us to eat what we wanted.”

• Our AC didn't work and they had to repair it at 11:00 pm.

“Our AC was not working and then began to smell very hot and it took 3 phone calls to finally get them up to the room to fix it (at 11 o'clock at night).”

“This hotel was wonderful in every area but one. It is a party hotel. The way the rooms are laid out one cannot help hear the parties that go on. We were awakened at 1 AM because the noise was so loud. But they did have a nice pool and great beds.”

• Housekeeping staff was super friendly!
• Very slow front desk response time.

“When we checked in I inquired about a portable crib; I had called down earlier in the week to ask about one and the front desk told me to just request one when I arrived. When we arrived I asked about one and they told me that they would have to look for one. It took them over two hours to get one to our room and we had to call the front desk twice to inquire about it. The pool was very dirty, lots of leaves and bugs floating in it, this was disappointing to me for a Marriott!”

• They upgraded us to the presidential suite because we asked for connecting rooms! It was wonderful.
• The way the pool was set up is not the best for young kids. We had three small children and they really could not be in the pool without us.

“We had two parties and ask for connecting rooms and they upgraded up to the presidential suite and the suite next to it! We had four children under the age of four with our group and there was more then enough room for them to play. We where very happy with the service. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Our only problem was no bathtubs in the rooms.”

• The front desk staff was very helpful.
• The layout is a little outdated and unusual.

“We were traveling with 2 small children and when I checked in I informed the clerk that we needed a second bed or a pull-out sleeper. Without saying a word she put us in an available one bedroom suite. It was the kind of service that makes a hotel standout and as a result I would not hesitate to return.”

• Convention area is really pretty and the beds were so wonderful no one wanted to get up the next day!
• Entrance confusing due to convention side, both marked Marriott, couldn't find the lobby for a while.

“Overall this hotel is excellent for business and family travel. Location by the expressways can't be beat and plenty of local restaurants nearby. We loved that there were 2 pools,1 indoor and 1 outside.”

“We arrived at the hotel after dark. As we drove toward the hotel, the neighborhood declined, and did not improve. During our check-in process, two suspicious acting men (in gang apparel?) entered the hotel and began stealing (stuffing down their pants) goods from the small refreshment booth right next to the registration desk. Employees didn't notice or chose to ignore. Housekeeping only taps once before entering, so be sure to keep your safety locks engaged! On the positive note: Registration staff was friendly and eager to please.”

• The surrounding area was not "a good part of town".

“The room was clean, and the bedding was superb. The surrounding Shade land area was a bit rough, but the hotel itself was safe. I enjoyed the oversize shower head the noon checkout time. The desk staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Poor customer service and we were billed for breaking things when we didn't even sleep at the hotel.

“I'm still fighting them on charges placed on my credit card for damage to the room. We checked into the hotel around 6 pm and checked out at midnight without even sleeping in the beds. Our time at the hotel was minimal and we spent a total of about 20 mins tops there taking showers and cleaning up. Overall, this hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not recommend it.”

• Not enough elevators.

“My daughter's wedding and reception were held here. It's an attractive hotel with exceptional staff members. The bed/bedding was luxurious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the east side of Indianapolis.”

• I loved the bedding and the beds! The furniture and the comfort.
• Low water pressure in the showers and in the toilets. Sometimes it was iffy if things were going to go down.

“Relaxing and plush. We attended for a wedding and it was great. Everyone was friendly and it just seemed so calm and soothing. That was something I was in need of.”

• The staffs were very nice and professional.
• There were no insulation in between rooms. next room was very audible.

“Hotel staff were very cooperative and I respect them very much. They did everything they could. But the hotel has terrible problem with wall insulation. My daughter had tennis tournament and we needed to sleep. I complained to the front and the security went to my next room to quite them. I could hear everything and that's how audible the room was. I love the staff but I'll never go back to that hotel.”

• $9.95 charge per day for internet connection, most hotels DO NOT charge for this.

“Very nice overall. The restaurant menu was priced too high, high-speed internet charge was ridiculous. The Fitness center was great. Room was comfortable and did not smell gross most hotel rooms smell awful.”

• The room, beds and bathroom were clean. We actually had hot water in the shower.
• We had trouble with one of the key cards not working.

• Full kitchen, gorgeous location.
• No complaints at all.

“For the money, this is the best deal in town! Located in downtown Indy, our room overlooked a beautiful canal walk where we could watch people walking, rollerblading, and bike riding. We even saw a gondola with a singing gondolier! Easy on and off of the major freeway and within walking distance of downtown shopping. The full kitchen is always great! I highly recommend Marriott Indianapolis East (the Residence Inn).”

• The staff was very friendly and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
• The bed was too soft and the water was very hard.
