• i loved the size of the room and the kitchen
• nothing that i didn't like

“This hotel is in a nice location away from the hussle and bustle. we had a room with a kind or queen size bed and a sofa sleeper. it was very roomy and it was great having the fully stocked kitchen. the breakfast that they serve is also very good.”

“Overall
I was pleased with this hotel. I arrived around 3 am, and when the manager discovered i was alone, he upgraded me to a king-size room at no extra charge. Room service was very efficient, and there was a small balcony to step out upon. My bed was very comfy, and
I felt absolutely alone, no residual noises coming from other rooms. I totally enjoyed my stay, although I did think paying for such a mediocre breakfast was too expensive. I would definitely stay there again!”

• Jacuzzi was not working properly for the entire week we were there.

• The 1st hotel clerk we met was curt.

“This hotel is a newer hotel geared to the person staying a week at the hotel. Nice facilities, great breakfast. I found a poor attitude with staff. Maybe just a bad night.”

• Very nice room and facilities.
• Fold-out sofa bed very uncomfortable and the blanket for this bed had several holes in it.

“Very nice newer hotel. Location was kind of strange very out of the way. Room was very nice with the exception of the sofa bed. The mattress was very thin. Bedding for the sofa bed actually had several holes in it and appeared unclean. Usually enjoy breakfast in these hotels a bit more, but it was acceptable.”

• I loved the bed, It was very comfortable.
• I did not like the bathroom, I wanted a bigger bathtub.

• The hotel staff, specifically the front desk, lacked general customer service training.

“The hotel was set back in the middle of an industrial area many miles away from any area hot spots. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room and public areas of the hotel were. The breakfast buffet was wonderful! Unfortunately the poor customer service abilities of numerous front desk workers tainted my experience.”

• A kitchen with stove and refrigerator, dishwasher, large room, bed and pull out in sofa and a normal size coffee pot pool sauna.
• More condiments in the room for the coffee.

• It was clean, had a friendly staff and a great 1 bedroom suite and good food.
• A little stingy with soap, shampoo and toilet paper.

“My wife and I spent 13 nights at this hotel during January and February 2008. I thought the hotel was newer than it was. The management obviously takes pride in the property maintaining it in like new conditions and keeping it clean. The 1 bedroom suite was just a little smaller than our condo and we felt right at home. The room was laid out very efficiently and we truly enjoyed our stay. We hated to check out when it was time to return home. The location was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the meal that was provided by the hotel each night Monday through Thursday. The maid service was great including washing our dirty dishes each morning that were provided in our fully equipped kitchen including utensils, plates, glasses and pans. We were looking for property to possibly purchase for our vacation home in the Holland/Zeeland area but decided with a hotel like this we would spend our vacation time at the Residence Inn of Holland. I would recommend this property to anyone!”

• I liked the separation of living and sleeping area.
• The night auditor that checked me in at about 4:30 am, was not friendly or helpful. I felt that my arrival really put her out.

“The hotel looks new and is very clean. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. I only met one staff member and unfortunately she left me with an overall bad feeling about the hotel. My middle of the night check in seemed to annoy her and offered very little in the form of help or information. I also asked for help with a special room request and instead of helping by figuring out how to make it happen she blew it off and said the rooms were full. This was not possible unless everyone walked to the hotel because there were very few cars there. Overall a very good value.”

• The hotel was clean and comfortable. My friends were supposed to stay at another hotel ended up coming to our hotel because it was clean!
• Nothing.

“I would recommend this hotel to other customers. The staff was professional and helpful. My husband and I were very satisfied with the room. We would be happy to stay at this hotel again. Our friends were in the town the same weekend ended up coming to the Residence Inn because of their current situation and they too were very happy with their room. The room was large and comfortable. The room and the facilities were clean, and the complimentary breakfast was above expectations.”

• We loved having a suite with refrigerator, stove top, microwave, and sink! The pool and hot tub were great!
• It's located in an industrial area. Near lots of plants. Not near Holland's Downtown or other stores, etc.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn at Holland. The accommodations were great! Our room was large, and we loved having a kitchen in the room! The pool and hot tub were wonderful for my daughter.”

• The large space, the food, the staff were wonderful.
• There was blood on the sheet when I pulled the covers back but the hotel credited me and cleaned it thoroughly.

“Overall it was a very nice hotel; however, the blood on the sheet was a bit shocking and sickening. The hotel was quick to thoroughly clean and they did compensate me the cost of the room but I would have rather not had that experience!”

“My friend dropped her wallet at the hotel and it was found by the front desk attendant. She took it upon herself to try to locate us after we left and when we couldn't she proceeded to mail the wallet back to my friend. Unbelievable, considering there was $400.00 in the wallet. Above and beyond.”

• The location is in an industrial area, which might be convenient for business people in the area, but is difficult to access from town.

• Studio suite was well equipped, comfortable, and attractive.
• Night desk clerk not available to greet us when we arrived (10 p.m.) And was not terribly friendly when we found her.

“We truly enjoyed our stay; the studio suite was all we needed in a compact and well-arranged space. The hotel was warm and most of the staff was welcoming and professional.”

• The hotel has everything you would have in a studio apartment, and everything is new, very clean.
• The location was hard to find it¿s in an area that was hard to figure out if you don't know your way around town.

“Excellent hotel to stay in, especially if you need a kitchenette. We had the luxury of everything being in new condition. The space didn't seem small but just right for any traveler. Whether you are alone or are traveling with the family, just know that everyone would have to sleep in the same room because there is no divider from the queen size bed and the let out couch bed.”

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Holland area. The one bedroom suite we had was clean, with very nice furniture and kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The complementary breakfast was fabulous-best we've ever had.”
