• The location was great! Quiet rooms!
• Charge for Internet service in the rooms, only free in lobby, no free breakfast.

“The staff at the Doubletree was very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that you had to go to the lobby to use the Internet service. I was also disappointed that breakfast was not included in the stay. The lobby area was very comfortable and nice.”

• Good quiet location, clean and spacious room.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Carmel. The hotel was conveniently located north of Indianapolis and close to the activities we had planned during our stay. We especially liked our non-smoking room that had a living area and a separate bedroom with a king bed. It was a great hotel!”

• Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice decor.

“We were given a room that attached to a meeting/conference room. We had 4 people (2 adults, 2 small children) and room only had 1 bed. I went back to the desk to ask for a room with 2 beds and there were none available. I asked if they had roll away beds and they did not. One child had to sleep on the floor. For this reason, I was very disappointed with our stay. It was too late to find other accommodations at that point.”

• Good pool and hot tub.
• Horrible service of hotel staff.

“Asked for wine glasses that were supposed to be in the room, got dirty glasses, asked front staff for noise policy at mid night and 1:30 in morning for party going on in next room, nothing happened either night. T.V.'s were small and cable kept going out.”

• The room was clean and plenty of space to spread out.
• Children running up and down the halls was quite disturbing, not the hotels fault,
  I blame the parents.

“We thought the hotel was very nice, clean and secure. The front desk clerk was very accommodating, and made our check in after midnight quick and easy. Overall, I thought the hotel was great; the only downside was the parents who let their kids run the halls half the night. Still happy with our stay and will return when in the area again.”

• Maria at the front desk, Cedric in the restaurant were great.
• No towels, towels were never picked up, toilet paper, drinking glasses and coffee cup not replaced.

“We would try it once again to compare, but when we arrived at midnight, our room was not available. We were sent to a nearby hotel, and we were compensated with a free breakfast for two days. We frequently had to go ask for towels, and other items not replaced in room. Staff was very nice except for one housekeeper. She seemed upset that she had to bring us towels.”

• We were greeted with a warm chocolate cookie at check in!
• Housekeeping showed up at 8:30a.m. And woke me up.

“We had a very clean room with an awesome bed and the swimming pool was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Extremely friendly reception/check-in, beautiful lobby, friendly housekeeping.
• Unusual smell in room.

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chocolate chip cookies were excellent.
• There was not a Jacuzzi tub in the suite.

• Friendliness of staff.
• The pool walls/floor was so rough it cut our skin.

“The hotel was definitely better than we expected. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean as were the common areas. We would definitely stay there again. My only concern was with the pool. I realize there needs to be some sort of "slip" protection but the surface was so rough it cut everyone's feet and I have several scrapes on my knee. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, this was my first Doubletree. I have never been in a pool like that. Plus, they didn't do a very good job at keeping the pool area stocked with towels. I swam twice and both times had to ask for towels.”

• Upgrade upon arrival, complimentary chocolate chip cookies upon check-in!
• No sign off of main road so a little difficult to find!

“The hotel was very clean and modern. We loved the suites. The complimentary fresh baked cookie was a nice surprise upon checking in. The staff was friendly and even upgraded our room upon arrival. It was the perfect stay for my husband and I!”

• Room size is very good and bed very comfortable.
• Amenities were lacking-no regular coffee for in-room pot, shampoo and lotion had obviously been previously used. Vanity top was unstable.

“A business hotel that caters to families on weekends. Good sized rooms, comfortable mattresses but bathrooms need some updating and the bed linens were thin. Very nice staff at front desk. Noise from lobby echoed through the 2nd floor hallways and into the rooms (as it was a weekend, the noise was crying babies and loud parents). Found trash in hallway the morning I left; notified front desk staff and they sent someone to take care of it right away. Only decaf coffee for in-room coffee maker; room not supplied very well.”

• No soundproofing. This was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Extremely noisy.

“The room was nice. The couch was old and the mattress was terrible. We could hear someone arguing all night next to us. We could hear anyone and everyone walking down the hallway. We could hear every word anyone said. It was like sleeping without walls. I would never stay here again.”

• They had an indoor pool and an outdoor pool.
• Grout in bathroom was very dirty. Sink was in bedroom instead of bathroom and dripped nonstop. front desk clerk was not friendly.

“The grout in the bathroom tile was filthy and moldy and obviously had not been cleaned in a long time. The sink was in the bedroom instead of the bathroom and it dripped nonstop. (the sink is about 5 feet from the bed - think Chinese water torture) although we had reserved a non smoking room, the clerk said that he could not give us a nonsmoking room. The smoke came through the walls from our neighbors room as if we were in the same room with the smokers. Aesthetically (other than the moldy bathroom and drippy sink and smoke) the suite was nice. There are so many other hotels in this area, I definitely would not recommend this one to anyone.”

• Pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the room. Got a suite for "the price of a room.
• The exercise room is hard to find (bad signage) and very bare-bones.

“Excellent choice at the north end of town, with convenient access to meridian that makes it relatively easy to get Downtown - with a Starbucks on the way as a bonus.”

“I checked in late at night. Was told there was not a business center/computer to send an email. Proceeded to my room on the third floor. The whole floor smelled like stale cigarettes as did my room. I thought I'd get use to it but did not. I went downstairs to grab a quick beer at the bar/cafe before going to bed. The beer was $5.75. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was very dated and basic. I would never stay in this place again or recommend it to others.”

• The hotel staff are awesome.
• Asked for phone calls to not be transferred at front desk, but one accidentally made it through the system.

“We have had the pleasure of being able to book this hotel 3 out of the last 4 months we have been to Indiana. We are elated when we get this hotel. We have stayed at other 3 star hotels in the area but none compare to the Doubletree Suites in Carmel.”
