• Service was great, room amazing, pool very relaxing. Right downtown close to everything!
• Only con was the parking. There is no hotel parking have to use city parking and for one day it was $20, would be nice to have free parking!

“I will definitely stay at this hotel again. It was a very enjoyable stay. The pool is very relaxing and quite. There is a running train station and there was some rumbling from that, but not enough to wake you up in the night. Parking is a little crazy, but hopefully that will be something that they can work on. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.”

• It was located within walking distance of all the downtown activities.
• Nothing.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone, young and old. Its whole atmosphere was very unique and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Its right in the heart of downtown Indy, so anything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I felt like I had stepped back into time when I entered the hotel because of the train station theme.”

• The lounge areas outside the rooms were clean, cozy and unique. Continental breakfast was one of the best.

• I left prescription med in dresser and have been trying for 3 days to retrieve it.

• Looked nice, close to circle center and restaurants.
• 2 loud trains and worn, non pillow top mattress sloped.

“They gave earplugs on the bed and relaxing CD for good reason. The train sounded like a tornado or a terrorist attack. My non pillow top bed sloped from wear. Overall looked and felt clean and 3 star. Very cheap and conveniently located to circle center. Expect another $25. for parking in this location. Good staff and they even let me check out an hour late. The trip was so fun and inexpensive that the drawbacks paled and I would have stayed again in a Heartbeat.”

• The beds were awesome. Great sleep, we over slept.
• Way too small. No public parking, valet parking was outrageous.

“Overall, this was a decent hotel experience. However, the first night, things nearly got a bit ugly. There was a large, noisy group outside the room until 4AM, including a woman who was drunk/lost knocking on our door at about 3:30. Plus, we were unaware that it was on active train tracks, with trains running through at all hours. Although we only noticed them first night. Room was nice, if a little on the small side. (That's pretty standard in a downtown big city hotel though, no?) Pool was decent. Valet parking was $24/night, plus tips on in/out. I'd like the opportunity to see inside one of the train car rooms - I bet my kids would love it!”

“Even thought there was a major event going on in the city and the hotel was quite busy, check in was quick and smooth and the service was good. People tended to camp at the two computers (free internet) so it was hard to use those, but other than that, it was a super value for the money.”

• It's a working train station. That was very charming. Some of the rooms were on the train!
• Very old, outdated furniture and fixtures. Bathroom very outdated.

“Great downtown Indy location, able to walk to several attractions. The hotel is a working train station, so that's very fun for guests- especially those in rooms that are a converted train. Warning- the hotel is older. The furnishings, especially the bathroom, are not up to date at all. Must valet ($24). The self park area is not secure and seemed very sketchy.”

• Customer service is good once you get to management level.
• Very noisy. Trains woke us up several times.

“I asked the front desk clerk on arrival for a quiet room. She stuck us right next to the railroad. Every time a train went by (which was at least one every hour) our room shook and the noise was ridiculous. The manager gave us 2000 priority points the next morning, but in my opinion we should have received the stay free as I am still trying to catch up on the sleep missed that night. The rooms also need updated. This motel is something from the early 90's and desperately needs updating. I would avoid it in the future.”

“I failed to ask if refrigerators were in the room. They also did not provide a microwave. My husband had to run here and there in the hotel because one wasn't available and the staff didnt know where to send him. He finally had to use the staff lounges. Not as kid friendly as I had hoped.”

• The parking was costly. Hotel should take care of that and breakfast expensive should have been included with room.

• The underground parking garage across the street is a kind of dingy, depressing place.

• The parking was terrible. I do not use valet. The self parking structure was a shame.

“Located in Union Station (a functioning train station), the Crowne Plaza is a good hotel for train buffs. The service was good and the rooms in old train cars were a real hit with the kids. The rooms that face an interior courtyard feel a little tight and stuffy. Other than that, everything was fine.”

“The hotel is a renovated train station, but there is still train activity. After reading the reviews I was expecting to be awakened by the noise of the trains coming into the station. I could only feel a slight vibration while sitting on the bed. Maybe the light sleeper would notice, but I slept well. I recommend the train car rooms if possible. While staying at the hotel, you are in the middle of everything.”

“We came for our 1 year wedding anniversary and I was very disappointed with the room. I thought it would be very lovely and it was very old and run down. The way to the room that we stayed in was just scary, I wouldn't have traveled that hallway by myself. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”
