• The staff are gracious and respectful, helpful at every opportunity.
• The rooms are too warm for sleeping well.

“The hotel is well located in downtown Indianapolis, close to many venues for shopping and entertainment. Three blocks to the Amtrak train station. Staff is personable and gracious in providing service. Rooms are comfortable and pleasant.”

• Convenience and facility.
• Carpet and equipment are old.

“Located conveniently at the center of the downtown. The room we stayed has a great view of the state capital hall. The room is clean but the carpet and equipment seems old. The trash can was left on top of the sink when we entered the room.”

• Parking fee and cold lobby environment.

“This hotel is huge. Offers nice rooms and good overall service. The location is great. What I do not like is that the lobby is open to the public as it shares location with many offices. It's a great choice for business but not the best for traveling with the family. I enjoyed my stay and I did a good choice by getting my hotel through Priceline.”

• The hotel staff checked us in and was very nice and gave us a great room. Very friendly staff.
• The vending machine only took a debit or credit card.

“This hotel was great for our needs. The beds were very comfortable, it was really quiet and we got a great rate through Priceline. We would definitely love to stay at the Hyatt if ever in the area again. Thank you staff for your welcoming personality.”

“clean, reasonably comfortable, but loosing its edge. Obvious wear and tear in the room, matresses just about at the end of their life cycle for comfort. Parking at 20 dollars plus daily no bargain.”

• The location was very good.
• I had a pair of expense shoes stolen from my room. The parking was very expensive and inconvenient.

“The hotel room was ok but very dark. The elevators were extremely slow. Parking was not convenient and a pair of expensive shoes were stolen from my room and the hotel would not do anything. The told me that they would call me later in the day after they checked with room service and no one called back. Very upset and did not feel safe knowing that someone was in my room.”

“Our experience was marginal at best. Having stayed in a number of hotels in downtown Indianapolis, I would most certainly not recommend this one except to the conference attendee who receives this room at a large discount.”

• The air conditioner was broken, even after the service man came to fix it the room was still hot.

“Overall the hotel experience was very nice with friendly service. The location was excellent. My only complaint was about the air conditioner, the temp was tolerable but not altogether comfortable.”

• The convenient location to all the main attractions in downtown Indy.
• Parking was way too expensive!!! For a 4 star hotel, I would have liked for it to have free wi-fi service and a continental breakfast.

“The hotel was beautiful. It was very modern and contemporary. The waterfall backed elevators are one of a kind and the large atrium is a breath-taking view. The rooms, including the bathroom, were quite large. I especially liked that the shower had a carved shower curtain rod that allowed for more room. There were nice amenities in the room, such as a refrigerator, an ironing board and iron, and an ipod alarm clock. The bed was quite comfortable and the pillows were very soft! The city view was gorgeous!”

• I liked the waterfall, pool, & jacuzzi; the staff was great! hair dryer.
• Parking expenses coffee makers were too small.

“Overall, the hotel was good. The rooms were a little smaller than anticipated. The staff was wonderful, but the parking was not. It costs $28/day per vehicle for parking. Even short term parking prices were ridiculous.”

“My husband and I were returning from a business trip and decided not to drive straight through and picked this hotel on spur of moment. The room was clean, more than comfortable, and the staff treated us wonderfully. Noon checkout was great.”

• The view from our room was great. Being downtown Indianapolis was convenient for walking to places.
• There was not free parking. We had to pay $30 for valet parking.

“Our stay was a nice get-away, but it definitely is a hotel for business. We felt a little out of place due to that. Our room was nice. Very clean and updated. Although they had two bottles of water on the desk, and if we would have drank them, it would have cost us $3 a piece!”

“This was my fourth stay at this hotel over the past four years. On the surface, the hotel appears to be sleek, modern and upscale. Peel back the layers and it is outdated, fairly unimpressive and too expensive at retail rates. The staff is always accommodating though and the updated lobby, restaurant and lounges are quite nice.”

• The skywalks were nice because it was raining and cold.
• Like others said, the tub was kind of
  dingy and didn't drain well; shouldn't have been charged to play TV kid game.

“The kids had a good time. No one was at the pool so they had it all to themselves while I lounged in the hot tub. I wasn't thrilled with the fact that everyone passing by the busy downtown area could see us through the enormous windows that showcase the pool and work out facility. A bit creepy when we were trying to enjoy a nice family time. Do not attempt to pull a full size truck into the parking garage. It will not fit, as we learned the very hard way. Over all, I would choose the Marriott. I liked the atmosphere and amenities better.”

• Dramatic lobby with glass elevators.

“Spacious and comfortable room includes a small fridge. Bathroom offers luxury toiletry items and roomy shower with high shower head. Very quiet, especially considering that there were a great number of high school students staying there for a band festival.”

• The swimming pool was way too small and the hot tub was not hot.

“The valet parking was $28 which was a little pricey, but garage parking is always full so this is the best way to go. The level one lounge is a great place to relax after a day of work and the open atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing as well.”

• Location, Easy check-in & out. Friendly staff.
• 4 stars and you have to pay $28 to park. Also paying extra to use computer in lobby and in room for internet connection. Very bad idea for 4 stars.

“Hotel location is nice. The area is clean around the hotel as well. We felt safe. The hotel itself is nice. We were given 2 double rooms, they were nice but small compared to what we are used to. Pool was nice for the kids but way to much chlorine. You have to pay an extra $28 to park. You also have to pay to use the lobby computer i.e. for printing out a boarding pass etc.. and you also have to pay extra for internet use in your room.

“This was my first stay at the Hyatt. We usually stay in resorts when traveling; however, I rate the Hyatt in the same category as a resort without the kitchen amenities. Everything was great!”

• The Hyatt was centrally located, very clean, and had a great view.

“The Hyatt (Indianapolis) was luxurious and comfortable. The kids and I liked how the elevator stopped behind the waterfall in the lobby. We also enjoyed the pool, excersize room, and the hot tub. The view from our room was great, and downtown Indy is vibrant and felt safe. 1”

• Excellent Location with the indoor walkway to Circle Centre Mall.

“This is a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff and excellent location with the enclosed walkway to Circle Centre Mall. Also had desert in the Eagle's Nest which was fun to share the skyline of Indy and rotating building with our daughters.”

• Contemporary design, excellent service, beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous views of Capital.
• Room was not cleaned properly the second day.

“The service was excellent from check in to check out. Very accommodating staff. The views are gorgeous, especially from the Eagles Nest resturant at the top level of the hotel. Overall, great bang for the buck.”
