• Room was great size - layout good.
• Walls very thin - loud.

“Hotel was good location, easy to find and very convenient to downtown Indianapolis. Room was clean, breakfast not as good as past experiences with Residence Inn chain but was satisfactory.”

• Excellent guest services, by the canal, just an all over good experience.
• Everything was good!

“This hotel had bad reviews online, but I honestly have no idea why. Everyone was friendly, the canal was great and for an older hotel the place was very clean. I would definately stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.”

• The staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered in a hotel. They all deserve praises, in my opinion.
• I think the air conditioner gave me and my spouse a headache and paying 12 dollars to park is a bit much when you have already paid for a room.

“Excellent hotel. I would surely stay in this hotel on my next trip to Indianapolis. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and nice. The morning breakfast was nice and served hot. Really saved us time since we didn't have to stop and pick up breakfast elsewhere. The staff had suggestions for places to eat and even menus on file.”

• It had many exercise and leisure facilities-from the pool and tub to the exercise and location right on the Canal Walk.
• The elevators were very slow.

“The Residence Inn is an excellent choice for business or conference travellers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is within easy walking distance to downtown businesses and the conference center, and the hotel's location on the Canal Walk is perfect for jogging, a leisurely walk, or a trip to a museum. The hotel is kept very clean and the rooms with in-room kitchen are comfortable for a long stay.”

• It was on the canal, had a kitchenette, had a pool, walk to downtown mall.
• Needed a chair (recliner) that makes into a twin bed, pool deck too small, I had to dust the counter.

• Hot breakfast, full kitchen facilities, fold out couch, large room.
• Parking fee.

“This hotel offers hot coffee 24/7. Check in was easy and friendly. There happened to be a complimentary dinner (burgers, dogs, chicken, chips, soda, beer/wine) on the night we stayed. The pool is small but efficient. There is a billiards table downstairs, also. The lower level opens to the Canal Walk which was fun for our young children. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked with cereals, pastries, yogurt, eggs, sausage, waffles, and oatmeal along with various drinks.”

“Great Downtown location, right on the canal. Walking distance too many shops, restaurants and entertainment. Lively street life on Saturday night. Rooms are not particularly upscale, but clean and very spacious, with kitchen.”

“Great room for families with small children. The room had a full size fridge, range, microwave, sink, dishwasher, dishes, etc. We could walk to everything and being right on the canal was great. The complimentary breakfast was impressive. We also enjoyed the pool and exercise rooms.”

• The hotel had an awesome breakfast buffet. All of the staff was very courteous.
• The pool area had an unusual odor and did not seem very clean.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. The staff was all very friendly. The breakfast buffet and evening refreshments were an added bonus to the accommodations. The only negative was the pool area had an unusual odor, therefore keeping us from swimming.”

• The staff was amazing cookies and mixed nuts in the lobby!
• Not a thing.

“Parking of $12 was very reasonable and you get to park just a few feet from the front door; you can come and go easily. Better than the Downtown Marriott where it was $25 mandatory valet parking, so you did not have easy access to your car. This is a fantastic place to stay!”

• Room was a nice size, though the sink was plugged and broken!
• Too noisy lots of loud children and no parents or staff around!

“I think this is a great location and nice hotel for the price, but the amount of kids on each floor running back and forth was ridiculous! The handicap accessible room is not accessible - sinks and stove far too high to use. and no door access button outside, I think the ado should be notified.”

• It has a wonderful lounge/platform overlooking a European style channel. Great for early morning or late night coffee. Romantic.
• $75 surcharge for pets. But understandable.

“This Hotel has a family resort feel to it, and big city amenities within walking distance. There is an air of romance, great complimentary breakfast, and well trained host and hostesses. Great deal all the way around.”

• Had a hard time finding the hotel, but that was probably more my fault.

“I didn't realize this hotel was a suite, nice surprise as well as it was a very upscale 2 1/2 star, I probably would have rated it higher. The complimentary breakfast was a big plus also. Had a very enjoyable weekend with my wife.”

• I really like the suite concept at Res. Inns, they are very comfortable.
• The snow in the parking lot was never touched during my stay and was quite deep.

“Comfortable, easy to find and fortunately I got a great deal on my stay. Please note many of us are allergic to feathers the pillows and comforter was down-I was stuffed up for hours.”

• You almost missed the hotel because the small sign in the front was hidden by parked cars on the street.

• I needed to use a printer and had to go to the Marriott Courtyard Capital to do that. The printer there was very slow and ran out of ink.

• The location was great. The view out the window at the canel as awsome.
• The room temp. was hard to regulate at a constant temperature.

“It was a great location. Never had any problems with the room or the staff. The view out our window was very pretty. The only complaint is that the air conditioner didn't seem to regulate the room temp. very good.”
