• Staff was extremely helpful.
• Before moving rooms, amount of noise in room was unacceptable.

“We had a problem in our original room having noise from other guests. The management staff had us moved into another room within an hour. Very nice and clean areas, comfy furniture and atmosphere was nice.”

• The King room was well-decorated and nicely done.
• Staff did not originally put us in a King room as requested - we had to have them move our room.

“Overall, the experience was nice. Not perfect, but nice. I called the day before checking in to make sure they had us down for a King sized room. The lady on the phone was NOT helpful nor friendly. When we checked in, assuming they had put us in a King room, we were surprised to find that they had not. As we had reservations and had to leave immediately, we called in route to have this corrected - the staff did oblige the request and moved our belongings into a King size room.”

• This hotel made me feel like the most important person there.
• I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

“The hotel is first class. Every employee was very courteous and willing to take care of anything I asked. I needed my sunglasses out of my car so I asked at valet to get it for me. The guy sprinted to my car, retrieved them, and sprinted them back to me. The room service was fast and the food was delicious! The room was very clean and the cleaning staff kept it that way! The view was amazing from the 19th floor! A first class hotel all the way.”

• The location.
• The hidden fees! $27 a night to park! $15 for Wifi! This isn't New York, it's Indianapolis, Indiana.

“This is a nice hotel right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. And they lure you in with seemingly low per-night room rates. But all the hidden fees will really ruin your experience.”

“When we checked in at the hotel Friday evening, we were told that they had overbooked and they had no rooms. They told us that they would get us a reservation at Hyatt a couple of blocks away and that there would be no charge. We were also told for our inconvenience that we would not be charged for the original room at the Marriott. So far we have not seen any credit to our charge card.”

• The friendliness and excellent service by the staff at the hotel was the best feature!
• An refrigerator in the room would have been a plus.

“The friendly staff and the service at this hotel were excellent. After a 6+ hour trip to reach the destination, we were granted an early check in. Although the hotel restaurant was undergoing renovations, the nearby Champs restaurant provided wonderful meals and service.”

• The downtown Marriott met all my expectations. The location was in walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium, clean rooms, bar and restaurants on-site.

“The Downtown Marriott was located in the heart of downtown near the Mall, restaurants and nightclubs. It was also within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium. Large, clean rooms made our stay comfortable. Satellite TV in the on-site sports bar was an added bonus as we could watch our out of state NFL team on Sunday.”

• The beds were very comfortable.

“The hotel was very clean as was the room. Check in was very quick as was checking out. Had a room with a very good view. I had made a special request, but at check in, they did not have my request, however the desk clerk made it right in just a minute. Very friendly and professional.”

• Friendly Staff.
• Rubber sheets on the bed.

“I can't believe it. This 4 star hotel used rubber sheets on the bed. I see rubber sheets on one and two star hotels occasionally. We hardly slept all night from the noise in nearby rooms and waking in a sweat from rubber sheets. We finally figured it out at 3am and removed the sheets. Any hotel manager who thinks rubber sheets are a good idea should be required to sleep on rubber sheets themselves.”

• Very clean, comfortable bed, good pillows.
• Nothing negative to say about this hotel.

“It is all about the staff - they were all friendly, smiling, joking, helpful - to me that is what makes a hotel - the amenities such as Starbucks coffee on premises helped too. The rooms were great - nice view, lobby was finished well - I will be going back.”

• I liked where it was located.
• I didn't like paying $27 to park there a night.

“The staff was fairly friendly, but it was not consistent courtesy. Also, the bathroom layout was not usual, it had the toilet right next to the door. Also, the linens were not exceptional.”

“Very unhappy with parking fees not previously told about. Hotel would not remove surprise charges and I was never told of charges prior to being billed. Hotel would not remove charges. Then I was told they would keep $30 on my credit card for a few days since it was a debit card. I will probably not use this hotel again.”

• Loved location; sports bar.
• Sheets on bed dirty.

“Great location -- could walk to many attractions, restaurants, mall. Staff not real friendly. Requested phone number for business and was given an incorrect number. Valet parking great. Sports Bar excellent - wait staff wonderful and very attentive. Food was very tasty and served hot. Pool area was attractive and clean. Sheets on one of the beds were dirty.”

• I liked the cleanliness and convenience...and luxury, really.
• I got very ill and was not ready to leave on my last day...I missed 1 1/2 days of my seminar...and they kicked me out anyway...even though I was ill.

“Everything would have been great if I had not gotten sick...I could hardly sit up & they made me leave...offered to find another hotel for me, but that wasn't the point. I had to leave...sick as a dog...then drove for a half hour(I was 3 hours from home) & had to stop at some dirty, smelly motel till I got better.”

“I like hotels that have the vanity sink on the outside of the bathroom, so that someone can do there hair or teeth and not bother the person taking a shower. Or, get the person hot and sweaty after they just finished taking a shower.”

• Beautiful, clean, great location, and priceline got us a very good price.
• The pool and jacuzzi were great, but the pool seemed a little small for such a large hotel.

“Great staff--fast service, very polite and helpful--we were able to get a fridge and a microwave in our room for no extra cost--it was just a beautiful hotel. One minus: The parking cost (almost $30/day) was a bit steep.”

“The hotel service was not the best. Last year I went two days before my room was cleaned. I was very disappointed and I participated in a tennis tournament so when my family and I returned to the hotel to shower and change when were faced with a uncleaned room with no clean towels. This was for two days. This last trip I booked two rooms and one room I added a day.”

• Updated room and decor.
• Felt like they nickel and dime you. Paid for internet, parking, empty fridge in room, etc.

“Beautiful, updated, friendly staff. Disappointed with two beds that they called queen, we called full. Dismal view from our room. Felt like we were nickel and dime to death. We probably won't stay here again.”

• Our room smelled like someone had smoked in it.

“The hotel itself is nice and the location is wonderful. They need to work on their parking issue. Our room smelled like smoke when you walked into it. There was a bar of soap left in the shower from the previous guest and hairs throughout the bathroom. Other than that, it was nice.”

• Nice room; good location.

“Our experience at this hotel was excellent with one exception. I ordered flowers and had them delivered to the hotel to be waiting in our room to surprise my wife. The flowers were not in the room when we arrived. They had apparently delivered the flowers to the wrong room and couldn't find them right away. When we returned later that night, the flowers had been found and put in the room along with some complementary room service (bottle of wine, snacks). So they did seek to make up for their mistake. Overall, excellent!”
