• The staff was very helpful.
• The restaurant (TGI Friday's) food was bad. Even after we sent it back, it came out bad.

• Ice machine was not. On all floors.

“Rooms were nice. I asked for a 5:45 AM wake-up call, and they called at 5 AM. I could use the extra 45 minutes. Traveling to another floor for ice is a little inconvenient. It would be nice if each floor had one, although it was nice that it was located closed to the exit?”

• Tiny elevator.

“I appreciated being able to park just a few feet away from the door and walking just a short distance to the room. Also, I like walking into a room and not smelling the stale odor of cigarettes.”

• The staff did all they could to make our stay pleasant.
• Needed two beds instead of one. Could not change rooms.

“Even though we were unable to change rooms we were provided with a nice roll away bed. The staff was very helpful. They were there to insure their guests comfort.”

• The beds were very comfortable and the location was good.
• The hotel staff was not hospitable and the rooms weren't that nice or laid out well.

“The hotel offers a good location with very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the hotel staff was less than hospitable and the rooms were similar to a lesser star hotel. The hotel doesn't actually have its own restaurant; however, there is a TGI Fridays located on the property. I was a leisure guest at this hotel and for my purposes it worked, even though I wasn't impressed and have stayed at better 2.5 star hotels. As for staying at this hotel for business, I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel does not have enough king bedded equipped rooms to meet business traveler's needs. The hotel also has a very slow internet connection which would cause a business traveler another stumbling block.”

• No indoor pool or fitness center.

“Very nice and pleasant with great staff. Rooms were comfortable, pretty and clean. Heating/air conditioning unit was easy to access but it was difficult to maintain a steady room temperature. Missed having access to fitness and pool facilities. Overall it was great!”

• People we very nice and helpful it was a beautiful property.
• Everything was great no bad things to say.

“The location was covenant with a restaurant connected to the hotel it was clean and I was quite impressed. I worked in a hotel before and I was very impressed.”

• It was close to downtown Indianapolis.
• Closer restaurant options would be nice.

“Overall, I was very please with the hotel, which includes the staff. It was clean, the people were nice and room was plenty big. In one word, I would say this hotel is serviceable. Not too fancy, but has everything a traveler would need.”

• Breakfast buffet at tiff next door was not available as stated by hotel staff.

• Staff was pleasant, beds were comfortable, and linens were nice.
• Rooms in the wing I stayed in were somewhat dated overall.

“Friendly staff very closes to state govt. Center, and downtown attractions (race dome, new stadium, parks, museums, etc.) Friday's in/connected to hotel. Free parking. Overall good experience, a little pricey for the age of the rooms, but that's probably b/c of the great location.”

• Walls are too thin, roof repair very loud/annoying.

“The walls were so thin you could hear entire conversations going on in the next room's), hallway, outside, etc. We were awaken by very loud construction and roof repair before 8am on sat, march 17th, which continued until we left for the afternoon. There are also vents in the shower units, but instead of actually having them for steam removal and air circulation, they did nothing except let you hear everything going on in the bathroom next to it, word for word, sound for sound. There was very little privacy at this hotel, you had to whisper if you didn't want the other rooms or people in the hallway to hear you, and there was way too much noise to be able to sleep. I will not stay at this hotel again, we were very disappointed.”

• We experienced an emergency with our vehicle, and the staff came to our rescue many times
• Fire alarm went off at around10:00pm

“The staff went above and beyond to assist us when we had an emergency. They were knowledgeable about the city and were very helpful. The rooms were very clean, big, and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.”

• Some of the other Marriott have a very nice continental breakfast.

• The tiff¿s in the hotel was a nice dining experience for us.
• We had to go up to another floor to get to an ice machine.

• I liked it all.

“From my very late check-in on a Wednesday night until I left on Friday morning, the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Indianapolis met and exceeded my expectations. The staff was helpful and friendly. They greeted to you in the hallways and from the desk. Even with some outside repair work going on involving the building, I was not disturbed. I would be glad to stay there again!”

“On the second day stay I left the motel in the morning and returned late in the evening to find the cleaning crew or someone had left the door to my room open or not locked. I reported this to the motel staff. I think they should have offered me a free stay or some thing. Lucky nothing was missing.”

• The location and free parking were wonderful!
• Hotel had only outdoor pool. Not practical for Indiana in the winter.

“The hotel was the perfect location for a visit to the IMAX and the zoo. Free parking was an extra bonus. The only thing about this stay that was not perfect was the TGIF restaurant. We tried to eat one evening about 7 p.m. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the lobby was full of people waiting to be seated only to be told there was a 1/2 hour wait to be seated. We went back to the room and ordered room service and it was delivered in less time than 1/2 hour. We tried again for breakfast and found they were only serving a limited buffet, which we ordered and never saw our waitress again. We had to pay the hostess for our meal. The hotel itself was great and the staff was friendly.”

“The hotel is warm and inviting, a fireplace is located in the lobby. A nice workout room available 24 hrs, indoor pool and whirlpool. Area is clean, well stocked with towels. Room had a great view, sofa, desk. Business room with computer access. All staff were friendly and available. Loved my stay and so did my 10 year old son.”

• We were originally given a room that had not been cleaned, but within 5 minutes they moved us to a new room.

“We came to Indy to go to Riley Hospital for Children for our grand daughter to have some testing performed. We were within 5 minutes of the hospital and that provided for an enjoyable stay.”

• Wonderful, very helpful staff, and the most comfortable beds I've slept on in ages!
• Scratchy towels, need to update them.

“I was in Indianapolis to attend a multi-day event at the RCA Dome. The hotel is next door, so it was very convenient. The staff there posted schedules for the event in their lobby, and results of preliminary and semi-final competitions. They were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel has the best beds I've slept on in ages! Wish I could take one home. This is a Courtyard hotel, so not all the extras of a regular Marriot (there is one of those just down the street). While they didn't have things like shower caps and lotions in the room, if you call the desk they will provide them for you.”

• Rooms were clean, well decorated, staff were attentive, small but attractive lobby area.
• Small tub, service at breakfast left something to be desired.

“We (spouse plus 7 year old) stayed here for one night. It is very conveniently located (across street from 3 museums and next to convention center). The lobby is small, but attractive. We had a decent view of the area from our room. I was impressed that the staff made a note of an engineering exam from a comment made at check in, and asked me about it when I went to call the room. Breakfast was at TGIF's. It appeared that the area was understaffed. The waiter was fine, but dishes were very hot, somewhat dirty, and sparse. It was well priced, although we had conflicting answers on what the child buffet price was.”
