“The only issue we had was that the hotel was undergoing construction at the time of our stay, but it really wasn't that bothersome.”

• The hotel was what we needed it to be, no more, no less.
• I did not like the way the bathroom opened up into the room.

• The front desk was accommodating.
• The rooms smelled.

“We called specifically to get a handicapped room which we were told we had. We called ahead of time to verify that we were running a little late for our handicapped room and was told that everything was fine. When we arrived we had no handicapped room as previously told to us. They were very accommodating and moved us to the same hotel next door which was newer, with a handicapped room and did not charge us extra.”

• It was accessible to restaurants, shopping, expressways, gas, etc.
• They ran out of towels each morning which was no excuse.

“Continental breakfast was available, the room and bath was clean. When I received towels, they were clean. I requested additional pillows and received them immediately. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. My check in was expedient with no hassles. The hotel met my expectations; I would definitely stay there again for the price and the location.”

• The bathroom was large and the tile was fancy. The bed was very comfortable. I was even able to park my car outside my door a definite plus!
• The refrigerator was not working.

“The La Quinta in Montgomery was a pleasant surprise! We have stayed in many hotels in the Montgomery, AL area that cost more money and were no where close to as nice! We were impressed with the decor and the size of the room. My husband loved that we could park the car right outside our door, easy loading! I liked that the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy. The refrigerator unfortunately was not working, but the microwave was and there was even a table for dining! All in all a great experience and I would recommend this hotel and will probably stay there again myself!”

• Pool filthy- closed; internet down 3 weeks; phones inoperative.

“Room clean once I moved from filthy smoking room (curtains had burn holes; tub edge next to toilet had burn marks). Could not call to hotel - phones were not working (how about 911? or fire alarm system?) Internet had been down for 3 weeks, per clerk; pool filthy and chained closed; one clerk there during rush hour.”

• Right next to another La Quinta (Inn and Suites).

• Room was set up good for someone in a wheelchair.
• Pool was not clean.

“Friendly, family oriented. Very helpful staff. Room was nice and clean. Good breakfast selections. Convenient to any restaurant and stores. Helpful with directions and provided a map of the local attractions and restaurants.”

“Hotel is in a great location for traveling into Montgomery, Al for business, pleasure, or overnight. Close proximity to airport, interstates, and shopping. One problem is that there are two Inns on the same property and you don't know which one youre staying at until arrival.”

• Clean room, helpful staff. Free and hassle-free wireless.
• TV was snowy on most channels. Could not order movies--that feature did not work.

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The directions given on their website were not accurate.

• It wasn't awful.
• It wasn't very clean.

“My husband and I do allot of traveling for our business. This motel was okay, but not cleaned in places that weren't completely out in the open. Corners, behind doors, on top of things. I really appreciate a place that has been cleaned fairly well. When one hasn't I wonder when they last changed linens, towels, cleaned shower etc.”

• Location was good.
• Stained carpet, leaky toilet, prepackaged breakfast items, OJ machine didn't work.

“If location is your first concern, La Quinta-Montgomery will work. But there are no elevators, and maintenance is problematic. Toilets "sang" all night, carpeting was stained and dirty, the juice machine didn't work, and the breakfast was "low maintenance for staff", not too tasty for travelers. Don't expect sausage and eggs, hot waffles, or other items standard in many hotel free breakfasts.”

• The staff was rude. The breakfast was terrible. I was promised a king bed and received double beds.

• Mattresses were very comfortable, and I have a bad back. Nice perks.
• Bathroom was extremely small. Shower water pressure awful.

• Entrance of hotel is not safe.

“We enjoyed our stay, however a girls softball team checked in while we were there and they were extremely loud all through the night. Other than that and the unsafe entrance our overall stay was great. especially with a Cracker Barrel right next door.”

• All of the front desk staff were very nice and helpful.
• The room was joined to another, separated only by a door. This wasn't very private, we could hear the TV.

• That we were only there 1 night.
• They blew our wakeup call after two requests, and we came within 10 min. of missing a flight!

“I would never give them a second chance or stay at any La Quinta again after they blew the wakeup call. there is no excuses for it whatsoever. We have lodged a formal complaint with La Quinta corporate, and have yet to receive a reply.”

• The location was convenient to my meeting area.
• The hotel itself was difficult to reach and buried behind things.

“La Quinta was adequate and generally convenient. However, it was behind other businesses and I felt a little unsafe as I was traveling with another woman. When we checked in, the clerk placed the two of us in the very rear of the hotel which made me uncomfortable, as it was after dark. The general appearance was clean and the staff were courteous. I probably will not stay at that hotel again for concerns mentioned.”

• The location was very convenient to the expressway, shopping and restaurants.
• No one was attending the front desk. It took several minutes for someone to show up.

• The staff was very pleasant and kind & there was a refrigerator in the room
• I do not like motels; where I must enter from a balcony or the outside. I only like places where there is a general entrance top the building...

“This was a motel with entrance to the room from the outside. The corners along the stair case was dirty; maybe because it is an older structure. I am scheduled to go there again June 1st, and I will but it will be my last time in LAQUINTA; regretfully I did not purchase cancellation insurance...”

• The person that checked me in was very nice and seemed to know her job very well.
• The person I asked to give me a wake up call did not and tried to blame someone else.

“Hotel was fine. The room appeared clean but hair was in shower and around sink area. The night shift desk person sounded asleep when I called to ask for a wake up call and I never received the wake up call. I would stay there again in the future.”

• For two star hotel very clean and quiet.
• Didn't give me wake up call

“Hotel was clean and quiet. It is in a relatively safe area of town but is in an area with a bunch of malls and strip malls. It is next to the freeway and there is a lot of traffic there.
Staff was friendly and they actually give you breakfast (cereal, muffins, bagels, more than just donuts). I was upset when I didn't get my wakeup call. I was taking the bar and the wake up call was supposed to be my backup. I'm lucky my cell phone alarm worked.”

• This hotel was clean. To me this is the most important selling point.
• It is located at a fairly busy intersection and it is not easy to get out during high traffic times.
