• Free breakfast and free internet.

“Had to go out and buy some febreeze, as the staff at the front desk did not have any type of spray when I asked. Otherwise, good free breakfast, whirlpool and free internet.”

• Not much.
• The water in the pool was frigid.

“This was not a pleasant experience for me. The pool was freezing cold, the beds were not comfortable, and the cost of this hotel is about twice what it should be for what you get. The breakfast was mediocre at best.”

• Tempurpedic mattress.
• The smell of the room.

“The internet was painfully slow and the room smelled like stale cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room. The breakfast was edible, but scant and not worth eating. Probably wouldn't stay there again.”

• The beds were very comfortable and well appointed. There also were plenty of towels in bathroom.
• I did not like the fact that the breakfast had few sugars free of fat free items.

“This hotel was very clean and the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. If I am ever in Montgomery, ALL again, I would definitely stay there. I also am encouraged to try Wingate by Wyndham some where else in my travels.”

• Work out room needs updated equipment.

• The staff, breakfast buffett, and mattress were great. All areas were clean and kept up including the pool, spa, and exercise area.

“The staff was great, this was shown when we called for directions, requested a late check out (got a 1:00 check out!), and were treated nicely be all workers we say. Our room was very spacious, clean, and had a good layout. The mattress was a Tempurpedic, which gives you a great night's sleep. The hot breakfast buffett was super, including self-cooked-waffles, eggs, sausage, danishes, bagels, muffins, yogurt, apples, juices, cereal. The exercise room was not large, but sufficient for our needs, and included 2 treadmills, a stair stepper, a weight machine, water, a t.v. The pool was clean and quiet. There was no slide or baby pool, but that didn't affect us, as a matter of fact when we were there only adults came to the pool. The whirlpool was really hot, too hot for me. Although it was large, there didn't seem to be enough water jets, but the area was clean, stocked with towels, and would have been much more appealing on a winter's day (too hot for July). Our stay was a big part of our mini vacation enjoyment!”

• The hotel location was great.
• Access to the hotel from the road was a little difficult.

“The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel location is close to a lot of restaurants and there's a mall just down the street from it also.”

• Convenient access and friendly staff.
• Room was not maintained well, was not a 2 1/2 star.

“This hotel was very convenient, yet did not meet my expectation for a 2 1/2-star hotel. It was comparable to the 2-star I stayed at last time in Montgomery, but cost more. It was a decent hotel, but I will probably not pay the additional cost to stay there again.”

• I liked that the hotel staff was very pleasing to talk with, kind and also there breakfast.
• N/A.

“All in all, the Wingate hotel in Montgomery was a very nice place to stay, so nice that instead of finding something closer to where we were working decided to extend our stay at the wingate for the entire time we were out there working, the hotel staff are very generous, they have a nice hot tub and pool, and most of all I looked forward to every morning getting up and eating their breakfast which is abnormal for me.”

• Nice room, excellent breakfast, nice lobby.
• The fact that they did not allow a no-smoking request.

“The hotel is well located, and appears to be brand new (despite being 5 years old). Very nice rooms, well appointed, very good shower, nice lobby and excellent breakfast. The nicest place I have stayed in Montgomery.”

“Terrible customer service! If you have any problems at all, the manager will not return your calls or emails. Unethical business practices. Stay elsewhere, a lot less headaches and a lot better customer service.”

• They got brand new mattresses during my stay.
• Some of the staff did a little bickering.

“Hidden from plane view, but very convenient to shopping and the interstate. Clean and comfortable, rooms not very sound proof, could hear a lot of things going on in the entry. Sufficient for my stay.”

• King size bed too close to air conditioner unit, noise made it hard to stay asleep.

• Check in time was earlier than most, 2 PM.
• The staff was less than friendly. The maid started cleaning our room before we checked out.

“There was an expanded continental breakfast. However, if you don't get there early you won't get much. Once everything is set out they do not restock. Breakfast is said to go until 9:30 AM. When I arrived at 9:00 AM there was little left. My two kids and I were counting on this meal before church and were sadly disappointed.”
