• The breakfast was great, with lots of choices. The room was clean and better than expected!
• Nothing negative! It was great!

“The hotel far exceeded my expectations! The rooms are like mini condos or villas. They had a full kitchen and excellent fluffy mattresses. The rooms smelled great, no foul oders. The staff was very warm and friendly and the breakfast was awesome with lots of choices. We were very impressed!”

• Nice room - wish my stay would have been longer.
• Needs to do some bug control around the outside lights at night.

“Only problem was the bugs around the lights that made me "rush" through door to keep them from going inside (some still made it in). Otherwise, the facilities were great.”

• Very friendly staff.
• Pull-out sofa bed was old and gross - stained and torn. Main bed was rock hard.

“It was fine. Nothing great and nothing really terrible. The beds were very uncomfortable and the whole place looks like it could use remodeling. The staff is very friendly and helpful, however.”

• The hotel offered large stainless steel grill for patrons. Rooms were spacious and offered kitchen.
• The filter on the outdoor pool was malfunctioning all Memorial Day weekend.

“I had a great experience at this hotel. Rooms were spacious with many amenities. Excellent location with jazz club just a short walk down the road. Would highly recommend.”

• The staff was very helpful.
• I did not feel secure in my room, too many patio doors.

“I actually expected something a lot nicer. It was just OK. Someone above us was banging on the floor for hours, till 3 am so I didn't sleep well. Also some idiot was racing outside in the parking lot, also at 2 am, heard him stop, a big bang, thought our car was broken into (as this has happened before so we are a little paranoid) thank goodness everything was OK. We didn't eat the breakfast, we didn't have time. Overall, it was OK but due to past experience of being robbed, I don't think we would stay here again. We just didn't feel safe.”

• It was within a mile or two of downtown and Notre Dame, both which I needed to travel on those days.
• The only thing was that the TV was too small and far from the bed - otherwise everything was great.

“I, of course, was not sure of what the hotel would be like since I used the internet for reservations. I arrived and was greeted by very friendly lady asking my reason for being in town and providing directions to Notre Dame. I then realized it was a suite-type setting, which was a nice surprise. It was quiet, conveniently located, and easy to check into and out of. Thank you.”

• The lobby was bright and spacious. I could park near to my room.
• Gave me a smoking room with broken toilet.My son tried to call 3 x,they said I wasn't checked in, I spent$15 on 3 phone calls to connect with him.

“It's a very nice hotel, but the staff wasn't very good. I went to check out and they couldn't find my information. They asked for my credit card even though they had taken the information when I checked in because they has misplaced my registration information. They listed the price I paid for this room on my bill, and I think that made the staff treat me differently.”

“Good location might have felt better if security was outside instead of in the lobby. Very clean and roomy---super staff. Wish there was a better layout for the room.”

• The staff was wonderful!
• I forgot my pillows. They were supposed to hold them, but didn't. I got them after about an 20 min search

• I t was like having my own apartment.
• nothing

“As a residence in it offered more to me that a regular hotel. By that I mean free happy hour refreshments and food. (Idid not use) Also a good variety for breakfast that was also free. The room as I said was like an aprtment with full kitchen and lots of space. The price was right.”

• The breakfast was really good. There was a variety of foods, including eggs and sausage.
• The bed was too hard, and the hotel did not have an indoor pool.

“This hotel is in a residential section of South Bend and is a good place to stay if you want quiet. The hotel is comprised of several buildings with a condo style. It is a little older, but clean. Good place for if you need a place to stay for several days, because the rooms are furnished with a stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, etc.”

• For the price I bid, I felt that my expectations were exceded. The hotel staff was very friendly, and I really enjoyed my stay.
• There really wasn't anything I was unhappy with.

“The Residence Inn was a very nice hotel. I enjoyed that it was an extended stay hotel. The kitchen was equipped with all cooking utensils and a dishwasher as well. The studio room was pretty spacious, and we enjoyed that it had a fire place. Another convenient thing about the hotel was that it allowed pets, and offered a wonderful hot breakfast the next morning. We had a great time there and the price was unbeatable!”
