• The parking was great because of its convenience. Breakfast was more than we expected. Rooms were large and comfortable.
• Since I was traveling through, it was not right on I-80.

• The employees were friendly, and the bar/restaurant area was very nice
• This hotel could be a 2.5 to 3 star with some renovation. The parking garage is very old and spooky.

“Nice restaurants within walking distance, good area if you are touring South Bend. A bit far off the interstate if you are passing through.”

• Close to bars, restaurants, and Notre Dame. Spacious and clean rooms.
• The internet did not work and nobody could fix it.

“The Holiday Inn had very clean and spacious rooms. It was downtown, but was in a safe area of town. There were restaurants, bars, and Notre Dame near by. Worth the price to stay.”

• Fine for what we needed it for.
• THIN WALLS - heard screaming baby constantly.

“Hotel was easy to find, I liked the parking garage attached to the hotel. The restaurant in hotel was closed for a wedding. The walls were extremely thin and we could hear everything next door. My friends and I were up and talking in bed around 3 a.m. and we had two calls from the front desk telling us that we had noise complaints.”

• We froze, the heat didn't work in our room, didn't realize this until about 3:00 am.

“The heat didn't work in the room. We didn't realize this until about 3 am. Didn't call because we felt they would not fix it fast enough. Also we had to pay $5.00 to park in their parking garage. Why would they charge for this? The ice machine on floor 9 didn't work. I had to call the desk to find that the ice machines were on 14 and up that worked. The room was clean but I thought we would get 2 double beds not just one king bed.”

“Overall the hotel was clean and in a good location, but decor was just stuck back in the late 60's. Had temperature control in the room but it didn't work. It just needs to be upgraded. Not sure if I would stay there again.”

“I didn't quite expect the hotel to be as nice as it was since it was only a 2 1/2 star but I was really surprised. Adequate towels, comfortable bed, very roomy and easy access to the elevator. Everything was very clean. Shuttles to the game were right in front of the hotel. All in all, a great experience.”

• The nights get long when you are by yourself and I got a requested room with a view on the 15th floor which helped.
• Like a lot of Holiday Inns the carpet in the room a little aged.

• They have free wireless internet.
• No refrigerators in the rooms.

“This is a good hotel; it's a little pricier, but the rooms are clean and the service is good. The free wireless internet was much appreciated.”

• Central location to our various destinations in the area.
• Room seemed old & needs cosmetic help.

“We had a nice corner room with full windows on 2 sides of the room. It gave a nice view of Notre Dame's campus, Golden Dome, etc. The room was spacious but needs cosmetic updates. The bed and pillows were horrible, so we did not sleep well.”

• Covered, safe parking, easy access to elevator & room - easy to check in & out.
• Bathroom counter top was too small for female traveler.

“We had a great time! We are actually kind of local to this hotel but just wanted to get away from life for a night. It was great and definitely met expectations. The location is awesome.”

• Room didn't have any shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom. Only two bottles of hand lotion.

“When checking in the manager made sure to point out in front of other guests that they do not have to provide me with a non-smoking room or a king. She told me to park out back because my vehicle would not fit in the parking garage, I got a ticket. My room had vomit on the counter top. This is not a 2 1/2 star hotel to me. It's a Holiday inn!”

• It was sort of clean.
• In a very bad section of town, staff was rude and seemed angry we were there.

“This hotel was terrible. Not only is it in a very frightening area, but the staff is rude as well. At one point when I was asking about the parking fee, they told me I shouldn't worry about it. They seemed annoyed we were there. The hotel smelled musty and bordered on clean. The staff was continuously rude. They neglected to clean our room on day 2 so we simply requested additional towels. Half an hour later 2 men arrived to provide four complete sets of towels. The manager told them to give us 4 so we didn't have to call down again. There were only two of us staying there. You couldn't pay me to stay in this hotel again.”

• 2 vending machines took about $2 from me.

“Nice hotel, I would recommend. Felt safe and comfortable. Vending machine took $2 from me and did not give me candy and a pop.”

• The water pressure.
• I did not like the fact that for the price I paid, there was no microwave.

• I am a smoker, no room ventilation, had a smoking room with no ash trays, water leaked in my room from the room above.

“The people were not very friendly but that didn't matter as we were not there to spend time with them. My girlfriend and I enjoyed being near the Morris Pac, a walk able distance.”

“I recently stayed at this hotel while attending an RVIA troubleshooting session which was held at the Century Center. Or I was stuttering. The room had no fridge which was one of our requests. The roll away bed that was requested, fell apart 3 days into my stay. This bed was also very uncomfortable. The room looked like it was from the 70's, its time to update those disgusting floral bed sheets. The rooms A/C & Heater where very loud, and the switch was almost hanging out the wall? The toilet would run every 15Min's for some reason. The pool looked like it had a thin layer of scum on it. My towels I swear where washed in pure bleach. I could go on and on about this place, I will never stay at this hotel again that¿s for sure. ”
