• Smelled Nice..
• was not like a hotel, more like a construction worker Motel.

“Not what I expected for a hotel. Not a real friendly front desk person. felt very low budget..It was clean, but it did not feel clean. there was no shampoo, no ice bucket, no place to put your suitcase. If you needed new towels, you had to bring the dirty ones to the front desk in order to pick up clean ones. It felt more like a Motel for workers that have to be out of town for a long stay.”

• Everything was great except the mattress.
• The mattress was like sleeping on the floor. No shampoo in room.

• Room has a stove and refrigerator.
• They don't clean or do room service.

“They don't have daily room service; they don't clean rooms nor do beds daily nor change of towels. Bathroom had neither shampoo nor conditioner, no extra toilet paper, and overall the hotel smells bad. Rooms are very small.”

• It was a low cost room for a quick family trip.
• It smelled bad and was not completely clean.

“The service seemed to have been tailored toward the price. What can I expect? It was a place to stay, had a full kitchen (no oven), and a bathroom. It was not overly nasty, but less clean than I am used to.”

• Nothing, but it appeared safe from the outside but not really upon closer inspection.
• Clientele that frequented hotel.

“Do not recommend this hotel. It is not a safe place to send family people. The doors are flimsy. Please let people know that this is truly a minus one star hotel. Not in any way a 2 star hotel. Management did not help me that night and I didn't sleep all night long. We were on vacation. We left that morning at 8 am and went to a much nicer, safer hotel.”

• Nice pool. Decent breakfast selection. Nice to have a kitchen at your disposal on vacation. Wonderful price.
• Dirty check-in desk and dirty carpet in hallway.

“The staff was very apologetic about the mix-up. While we were at the pool, a landscaping company was working around us. That was kind of annoying. Lots of kids running around and making lots of noise. No housekeeping service if you stay less than a week. Kind of a pain if you go to the beach and get sand everywhere. You have to ask for more towels.”

• The out side of the hotel looked very nice.
• The rooms were dirty, they smelled very bad, halls weren't cleaned any of the four days we were there.

• The smell, as if needing new carpet or carp cleaning.

“The staff was excellent, however the cleanliness would have been more rated for a 1 1/2 star hotel. However, if able to get past that, it was comfortable sleep, and the bathroom was the place I felt most comfortable.”

“The hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room had a mini kitchen which would have been great for a longer stay. The pool area was nice and laundry facilities were available. They also offered a continental breakfast each morning.”

• Rock hard mattresses.

“Not dissimilar to a previous extended stay in Montgomery I have stayed at before, but that one was more comfortable in terms of sleeping accommodations than this one. The beds were terribly hard, and the room was more Spartan in a sense than Montgomery; no couch, a table that looked like it was knocked together by a shade-tree carpenter, crowded traffic pattern in the room.”

• Room was clean and air conditioner worked great after being in 95 degree heat.
• After a hot day at the ballpark, went to the pool and it was nasty. Water was cloudy and the area smelled like cigarettes.

“Rooms were small for 4 adults and one child. Rooms were clean, air conditioner worked great. For a short trip this was great, for a longer trip it would have been to much togetherness. Would be okay for a small family or 2 adults.”

• The staff was friendly.
• Our 1st room had a bad odor so we moved.

“The location was close to the beach. The rooms were small. Our 1st room had a bad odor so they moved us to another one which was acceptable. The elevator didn't work most of the time. There was dogs in just about every room and were constantly in the hallways which made our small children uncomfortable.”

• Pretty good location and nice breakfast.
• Extended stay without housekeeping, high humidity, musty smell.

“The hotel is located well if you do not want to walk to restaurants or attractions. It is extended stay so you do not have the feeling of staying in a hotel but not like a condo either. The room had two full beds and no queens. The room smelled kind of musty and felt very humid but the rest of the hotel did not. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was above average even though the dining area was a little small and crowded.”

• Elevators not working. Was put into a smoking room.

“Was very dissatisfied with the stay as upon check-in I was told that I would not be getting a room with a queen bed (received two double bed room) and worse was put into a smoking room. I have allergies and that was not good for them. They told me there were no other options. In addition the elevator was not working so we had to take the stairs many times and the side door to the hotel was not working.”

• Very close to beaches and Destin. Pets allowed and had a kitchenette.
• Outdoor trashcans were not emptied, Wi-Fi was terrible and food quality was poor.

“ESA probably provided the cheapest place, closest to the beach that accepted pets and had a kitchenette. The Wi-Fi signal went on/off and was slower than dial-up because of the weak signal. There was nothing fresh about the breakfast items, which included cereal, packaged bagels and toppings, muffins, and coffee.”

“Over all I think the hotel was decent. Staff was nice, my room was clean, internet worked and I did not have to pay for parking. This hotel is made more for large groups of people, people with children or someone staying for an extended period of time. Not for someone trying to get away to the beach for two days.”

“My girlfriend's back was hurting her after a night on the thin mattresses. I had to ask for new pillows, they were prickly for gods sake. The smallest hotel room I've ever been in. At least it was clean.”

• It was easy to find.
• Hard beds, late breakfast, dirty carpet.

“The mattresses on the beds were extremely hard; the carpet was dirty; the continental breakfast didn't start serving until 8 am on a weekday (after most people had checked out cost saving for the hotel); etc. When I called about the access code for a wireless connection, I was told that there would be a charge of $4.99 added to our bill, but when we logged in the wireless said that there was no charge for the first day. But, the pool was nice and the staff was friendly. The best thing is that we were just passing through Destin and were only in the room one evening.”

• No maid service. Had the same bed linens for 4 nights!

“It was not comfortable, had no maid service. It doesn't even come close to a Hampton Inn. The breakfast was from 8 - 10 a.m., and consisted of juice, a few packaged cereals, plastic wrapped bagels and coffee; and you couldn't take your breakfast to your room! The pool was dirty and cold.”

• There was not a lot of hot water during my shower.

“Staff went above and beyond, we had booked a non-smoking room and our room had a stale cigarette smoke smell. I went to the front desk and the staff member apologized and let us switch to another room. No questions asked! The staff there was fabulous!”

“Hotel has recently been renovated and is in very nice condition. My only complaint was the room smelled very musty and there was mold on the air conditioner vents. Otherwise, the hotel is situated very close to the beach and great shopping.”

“If you want to stay right near the beach for a few days with close amenities, this place is your best bet for the lowest price. It has a car wash, gas station and backyard burger right in front of the hotel with restaurants and the beach close by.”

• The pool was very nice and the area was clean.
• We had to get our own towels each day and there was no maid service.

“We were told that this hotel was a three star. There was no way that this was possible. From continual barking dogs (it was animal friendly hotel) and dirt on the carpet, this was not a great experience. Our sink's stopper was rusty, and the sink had a crack in it. We did not have maid service and we had to get our towels each day. I have never stayed at a place where they do not provide maid and towel service on a daily basis. We were disappointed because we expected a three star hotel - not a one star.”

• The manager tried to get us into a different room.
• The double bed for my husband and I, the dirty pool, no housekeeping service if stay was less than week.

“I would not put this in a two-star category. We had a double bed in a handicap room. The only king size beds were in smoking. The room had an old stinch to it you had to bring your towels down to trade them out for new ones. In addition you had to take out your own trash and when we ran out of toilet paper, we had to go to the front desk. The manager tried to move our room and was helpful as well as the afternoon/evening clerk. I did not receive a check out receipt and the continental breakfast was a joke. (Coffee and bagels!) The best part was the location. We were close the beach, shopping and restaurants. I love Destin, but would never stay at any of the extended stay chain hotels again.”
