• The appearance was very attractive inside and the rooms were much larger than most.
• This is a smoke free facility, but the smokers practically blocked the doorway smoking.

“This hotel was very nice, it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were larger than most other rooms. The cleaning staff was very friendly along with the front desk staff. A great family hotel.”

• The maid coming in at 8 am.

• 6 story waterfall with stream in the lobby surrounded by pretty plants.
• Chlorine extremely strong in pool, so strong that we didn't get in pool and left area quickly along with other guests.

“Extremely clean, immaculate. Very beautiful rooms and hotel interior. Helpful, knowledgeable staff, especially night shift desk staff. Batteries went dead in remote and we were promptly given another. Convenient parking and well lit. Hotel well designed and easy to find amenities. Speedy elevators with glass sides. The waterfall was awesome. Loved standing behind it while waiting for elevator! Look forward to staying here again.”

  fitness center had good equipment.
• Room interior and public areas are outdated.

“This hotel looks attractive from the outside but the interior needs renovating. The furniture seems like they are at least 15 years or older. The beds were so worn out that they are not even flat, they were curved towards the middle. The carpet is worn-out. Even though I had a non-smoking room there was a musty, moldy odor. The vents for the heater/AC had thick layers of dust. The bathtub had moldy spots in the caulking. Public area carpeting also looked worn-out. The pool area had such a strong chlorine odor that we did not even dare use the pool.”

• The hotel was very close to many restaurants and the interstate.

“We enjoyed this hotel very much. It was close to a variety of restaurants. We were originally assigned a smoking room with a king bed, but the happily changed us to non-smoking with 2 double beds on request. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice. The room was clean and comfortable.”

• Hotel staff was warm and friendly, most accommodating.
• Not real close to I-65.

“Was pleasantly surprised. Had never noticed the hotel before. Saturday seemed to be a big family day-night with lots of kids. Love kids but thought those running in the halls needed adult parent supervision -
not hotel. Breakfast buffet was quite good and reasonably priced.”

• If this is not nicest hotel in town, I don't know what is...

“We didn't expect the Holiday Inn we stayed at in Bowling Green to be as nice as the Hyatt in Atlanta! Sure, maybe they don't have quite as many services, but this should be a 3-star hotel. We got one of the junior suites (I don't know that that's what they call it, but it had extra windows and a robe!), but the hotel overall impressed us. They have a business center, pool, all the normal expectations for a business hotel. They also have an excellent in house restaurant, and are on the main strip where almost all the restaurants in town are located. The atrium with its water features is more reminiscent of a 4-star hotel, and the place is clean and well-kept.”

• Being put across from the elevator. Hotel lobby decor seemed a bit garish and impersonal - a huge space with little intimacy.

• Close to Bowling Green High School where Hilltopper Tennis Classic is hosted.
• Our window on the sixth floor could be fully opened. This could allow young children to fall to their death.

“Overall, a pleasant stay. The atrium lends an air of luxury and the elevator car's glass wall gives a nice view and lends an open feel to the enclosure. Noise was not a problem. I am very concerned about the sliding window. The safety stop allowed the window to slide fully open. A child could manage to fall to their death should the window be unlocked by a guest. This really bothered me.”

• I called ahead and requested a double, it was under construction and they gave me a suite.
• Nothing.

• Noisy teens outside door kept waking us up until 3 am.

“The hotel was well worth the 2.5 star rating that it had. might be closer to a 4 star in my opinion. The staff worked with us to get us two double beds for both of our families with kids. I was pleasantly surprised at my value when the hotel only had a 2.5 rating. It is much better than that!”

“The hotel was good for a business traveler since it has a Convention Center attached to the hotel. Overall it was not a place I would recommend for someone wanting a weekend getaway the room could have been cleaner, since they are a pet friendly hotel there was pet hair on our floor.”

• Breakfast bar in restaurant was good. Open atrium was appealing.
• Night staff was friendly but was severely under trained and therefore inefficient.

“The overall appearance and feel of the hotel was very comfortable (highlighted by the glass elevator and waterfall in the atrium). The staff was friendly, but when we needed to change rooms (because ours had a very noticeable smell of smoke), we had to endure a 45 minute wait because the lone night clerk didn't know how to complete a room change in the computer system and had to attempt to contact a supervisor. The breakfast bar at the restaurant was very good. The room was a little dated, but was clean and comfortable.”

• A medication I take requires refrigeration, the staff was great. Brought refrigerator and microwave to my room very quickly.
• Nothing.

• Old furnishings in room (couch had large tear in fabric).

“I think the Holiday Inn in Bowling Green, KY was a good hotel. I am a single girl who was traveling alone, and I felt very safe at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and seemed to take an interest in all guest's stays. The room service menu wasn't huge, but the food was fantastic. I ordered the 7 Herb Chicken dinner (which was enough food for two people) and even with the 18% gratuity and $1.50 service charge, it was less than $20. I would recommend this hotel to friends.”

• Why is there not a complimentary breakfast offered? The restaurant was not up to par with the rest of the hotel.

• They were very generous with the towels. My daughter accidentally flooded the bathroom during her shower and we needed more towels!
• The bathroom sink water was very difficult to turn on.

“We had a wonderful time! It was clean, we were well cared for (they called and checked on us, etc). We will definitely stay here again!”

• Great access from I65 & a very clean room.
• Outside table area by bar was not set up with umbrellas for raining evenings.

“My wife and I took our 18 year old son to register for classes at WKU. Two months earlier we came down to view the college and we stayed at a Super 8. The hotel was average at best.”

• I liked the size of the room because it had a king bed and a sleeper sofa.
• Jacuzzi at the pool needed more cleaning. Some of the games in the game room did not work.

• The hotel staff were courteous, friendly, and very helpful, and the beds were amazingly comfortable.
• Movies were $19.99!

“This hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the interstate and is located in a nice seven story building. Everything about the hotel was clean, the staff were all prompt and courteous, and the fountain and pool were well maintained. I would recommend staying here if you have travel needs in the greater Bowling Green area!”

• The entire hotel is smoke free!
• Too many squealing teenagers in pool/hot tub area after 9:00.

“The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a waterfall in the atrium which is nice but there is a lot of noise in the hallway which spills over into the rooms. Wasn't a problem for us but if noise bothers you, it could be a problem.”

• The aesthetics of the lobby are striking, the room size generous and the staff pleasant.
• The bed was well-worn and highly uncomfortable with a distinct rut in it.

“The hotel is lovely in appearance with an indoor atrium that most all rooms face. While attractive, it can get noisy if children are running and screaming in the hall late at night. The waterfall in the lobby spanning several floors was attractive, but can be heard through the door, although it is not loud and more "white noise" than anything. The staff was accommodating and friendly and did grant a late check out request with grace. I did not utilize the lounge, restaurant or room service. The room and all common areas including the stairwells were exceptionally clean and in working order. The king room I stayed in was generously sized and attractive, with room to work in a comfortable desk and chair. The wireless internet was easy to access and reliable.”
