• Close to everything.
• Bathroom lay-out.

“Hotel was what I expected. Nothing spectacular but clean. We went to visit our son so we didn't spend much time in the room. Only to sleep and shower.”

“The hotel was in an excellent location for our venue....we were helping with a wedding. It was clean and had a few immenities we did not expect like a small refridgerator and a lockable safe. The room was spacious and clean.”

• Front desk was excellent.
• Bathrooms need cleaned/remodeled badly.

“Front desk staff was very helpful, the young man who checked us in was able to tell us all the best local spots to eat and relax. Checkout was a little disappointing. Room was what you'd expect at a budget motel. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest in the world, but fine.”

• I was very happy to be able to get some breakfast early in AM.
• The turn in and way out by auto.

• It was in a perfect location for Indiana University overnight stays, especially for orientation.
• It was a one star. What should I say?

“It had a safe neighborhood with plenty of very nice dinning (red lobster, ect) and a pretty large mall. It's perfect for IU accommodations seeing how it's right by the campus.”

• The man who worked the front desk was nice.
• The beds are very uncomfortable and the shower has no tub and is dirty.

“I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. I have had better sleep experiences in a 4 hour nap motel.”

• Friendly, convenient, and fully met expectations, regarding atmosphere, condition, and services provided( continental breakfast, ice, desk etc.
• Nothing noteworthy.

“Location excellent and met or exceeded my expectations for a one star hotel. I would recommend this hotel as an alternative to higher priced hotels, in the area, for budget conscious business or leisure traveler.”

• Friendly, helpful staff, internet access.
• Cigarette burns in bedspread, poor HTG/ac.

“The Bloomington Travelodge was clean but in desperate need of repair and/or remodeling. The bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it, the linen was old and the bed was not very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very poor besides only 8 seats. They were out of basic items (coffee creamer) by 7am. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They made up for a lot! The location is convenient for IU (about 1.5 miles) but it can be dangerous getting in and out due to proximity to busy intersection. It is fine if you just want a safe, clean place to sleep.”

• They accepted pets and had smoking rooms.
• The floors looked clean but left our socks & feet black. The bathroom was very outdated. No Bathtub & a lot of dried stucco in the floor of the shower.

“Our stay was fine. It just wasn't as clean as we would have liked it to be. The carpet in the room needed a deep cleaning. It left our socks and feet black. And the bathroom needed a bathtub and an overall cleaning. If the rooms were updated just a little it would be so much easier to clean & would greatly improve the hotels star ratings.”

• It was clean and in a location that suited our purpose.
• There was no pool, however it was all right.

“We had a short weekend planned for personal reasons and the motel suited our purpose. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was clean and in a location that suited us. If we were going with family and friends however we would have stayed where there was a swimming pool and more modern.”

• I hated everything. It was old with cracked sink, worn toilet lid and a funky smell like Asian or Indian incense. I only stayed 1 of the 2 nights I pd.
• Everything new of the 2 nights I pd for and checked into the Marriott.

“Old, poor mattress and much worn sheets and blanket. Funky incense smell, creepy! ”

• Large comfortable bed.
• Mold in shower stall and headboard of bed fell off.

“This was a pleasant stay. The room was very comfortable with the exception that the bed's headboard fell off the wall in the middle of the night. We will definitely stay here again.”

• It was a convenient location and easy to find.
• We got a smoking room and I would never ask for a smoking room . It smelled terrible and so did we after being in the room.

“It was old, run down and not taken care of--lots of repairs needed in our room (the window screen was torn and falling out, the toilet seat was broken, the faucet was not connected to the sink, there was a burn hole in the bedspread, the TV remote control did not work...).”

• Clean room, friendly staff, free high-speed wireless Internet.
• Continental breakfast was pretty sparse.

“A no-frills kind of place. Carpet in the halls a little old and stained, but we weren't sleeping in the halls, so it didn't bother us. The room was neat and clean. High-speed Internet access worked, as did the cable television and a/c. Small shower, but no big deal for me or my wife. Very friendly and helpful staff. Continental breakfast consisted of Minute Maid orange juice boxes on ice, Danishes and donut holes. A little disappointed with the breakfast, but overall, for $44 per night, very pleased. Would stay here again.”

• Very outdated, smelled throughout the hotel like must, carpet was stained in many places, toilet was not cleaned well from previous guest.

“I would not choose to stay in this hotel again and if I knew the quality I would have chosen a different hotel. It was the dirtiest room I have stayed in.”

• Small thus easy in and out for daily trips.
• The management was rude when checking in and out.

“The hotel was tacky and not really nice but it was sort of cheap. The first room we had the balcony door didn't close and it was extremely cold in the room but since the man at the front desk said he couldn't do anything. They were not helpful at all.”

• Quick check-in, convenient location, plenty of desks or space.
• Dirty shower, shower facility in general, no safety handle and only standup shower, toilet was not sturdy.

“Does not offer anything special but works well for anyone with a short trip to Bloomington planned. Quickest check-in at any hotel, I have stayed at, but no elevator for 2nd floor rooms. Rooms clean, toilet sturdiness questionable, old hotel. Looking to not spend to much then it could be a good match.”
