• Clean.
• Outbound emails did not work.

“The hotel operation was adequate. Except for one thing. Business travel mandates that out bound SMTP works for email. I was immediately put in touch with tech support for the hotels IT service. They repeatedly did not call me back and report as to why outbound email did not work. This went on for three days and the problem was never fixed. Thus, up at 6:00am to go to Starbucks so I could do business, simply gave up trying at night. Lame.”

• Remote did not work well.

• Bed linens were very nice and beds were very comfortable. Wish I could''ve stayed longer and spent more time in hotel, pool, etc
• Somehow couldn't figure out the alarm clock of all things and woke up later than had hoped. Missed continental bkfst to make it to meeting.

“Hotel was very nice. Conveniently close to IU campus. Was there for my son's college orientation so had scheduled events that we had to attend. Had to get up early for meeting. Would've liked to have spent more time relaxing at hotel.”

• Very clean, quiet, great TV, very comfy beds, friendly staff.
• Can't think of a thing I didn't like.

“Great place to stay! The beds were so comfy! My room was very clean and the hotel was very quiet. I couldn't hear my neighbors or their TV. Staff was very friendly and the common areas were very nice. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel!”

• The spa was nice.
• Rude desk staff, especially at check out.

“OK but the
AC unit in the room was so loud we had to turn up TV to almost 50 to hear it when the unit came on. Did not receive a statement or newspaper in our room the next morning. Did not receive a receipt other than a piece of paper that said, Balance $0. Lady at desk was curt to us and very rude to other guest checking out at the same time.”

• The air conditioning system was effective and quiet. The TV was huge (though we didn't use it). Internet connection was free and easily accessed.
• Bathroom sink area too small, especially with coffee maker on counter! Wrapped glasses were dirty. Room wasn't serviced after we left for the day.

“The hotel was adequate. The sheets were scratchy, the towels were mis-matched, scratchy, small. One of our wrapped glasses was dirty - yuk - which cast a bit of a shadow on the presence of cleanliness in general. Definitely a 2-star experience - without breakfast.”

• Only had sheers over center third of the window, worried someone could see in.

“I was there 4 nights and throughout my stay they could not get their internet service to work. That was a big inconvenience. In light of the environmental consciousness of today, I would have preferred not to have maid service everyday...but there was no option.”

• Comfort and cleanliness was superb. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The TV remote was not working very well, but it was manageable.

“This is an excellent place to choose downtown in Bloomington. It is in walking distance of the middle of town if needed, and it is close to the university. The staff worked hard to make me feel welcome. It is a great place to stay while working or playing in Bloomington.”

• wonderful beds, large TV, thermostat, clean and classy.
• cleanser bottles laying in hallway and stairwell.

“Next time I go to visit my son at college, I will stay at this hotel and he can visit me! I was completely satisfied with the comfortable bed, well-appointed room and the over-all classiness. The staff was extremely helpful and the location superb. Can't wait to stay there again!”

• Location to all the main spots in town.
• There was no help in were to obtain food I had to call around until I found a place to delivery.

“This hotel is a nice hotel for business travel. This hotel sits on the main road close enough to all the fun things to do in Bloomington, but far enough to not have to listen all night long to lots of loud noises. The room is pretty plain. Some of the staff is helpful and some are not.

• The beds were terrific.
• I returned to the room and found carpet cleaners. I had not checked out.

“The hotel was terrific. Right location and the staff, as usual at a Marriott Property, was very good. The staff apologized for the carpet cleaning intrusion before I checked out. It was a surprise, but no harm done.”

• TV Fox News Channel was fuzzy and the internet connection was extremely slow and dropped offline often.

“Service was good. Breakfast bar was convenient with wide selection and good quality. The shuttle bus to the Indy airport serviced the hotel. All around convenient place to stay.”

• It was centrally located, easy to find, and close to shopping.
• Need to secure the parking lot a little better.

“The hotel was clean, the employees were competent and polite. The ceiling in room 218 was puckered, as if there was a leak somewhere. The sheers to the curtain were in need of cleaning.”

• I had car trouble and the maintenance man was very helpful.
• The only negative I can even say was the desk clerk when I called in could not tell me how to get there.

• Lot of traffic could be heard but that was the location I assume.

“Nice quiet. But noise outside street was not real good. Friendly helpers, one called soon after we got there and asked if everything was ok. He checked our AC for us and got it going. Desk clerk next morning was sweet when we left very pleasant.”

“The beds were too soft at this hotel, which is different from most hotels. There were plenty of pillows, which was nice, but they were of horrible quality. My head sunk directly down to the mattress. It was a nice hotel, but I got a horrible night's sleep.”

• The rooms were large and had queen sized beds.
• There was no continental breakfast.

“The conditions of the hotel were fine. It was clean and roomy. The trouble was at check out. The clerk didn't even say anything to us - just handed us the receipt. When asked, she couldn't tell us what the charges were for. We had to wait for a manager to come into work to get it settled. Apparently we were charged twice for something called "no-show" - which was a mistake on the staffs part. Be sure to ask for receipt. Not sure if I would trust this chain.”

“The hotel was wonderful. The exercise room was good, the pools & hot tub were great. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The bed was the best, felt like sleeping on a cloud. Great amenities, tasteful decor, overall great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.”

• The bathroom was less than average (dirty-looking soap dish and no tissues).

• Location is near downtown, room was attractive and comfortable.
• Overpowering smell of chlorine on 1st floor, breakfast was buffet in name only.

“This hotel is one of the better properties in Bloomington - best of locations, all of the courtesies and qualities you would expect in a Marriott. My advice would be to make sure not to get a room on the first floor, because the smell of chlorine from the indoor pool was dangerously strong. Also, don't be tempted by the $7.95 breakfast buffet - all of the bins were empty or nearly empty (no bread for toast, only shards of burnt bacon available, etc.). You had to chase down the harried staff to ask for more food and then wait for it to be brought out.”

• The price was too high.

“Though the hotel was very well kept, I feel that most middle class travelers need a lower price. Especially those with families. Becoming a part of The Entertainment Book which is available nationwide and offers 50% discounts to purchasers of the book at major hotel chains would be a plus for those on a budget. ”

“The hotel was under renovation, the front desk staff member at check-in said they did not have payment and I would have to pay,again. This was cleared up latter in the evening but after much agravation. Not the best experience!!”
