• Great value for the money. Very clean room, friendly staff, nice accommodations for the price.
• The TV in our room wasn't working well. We didn't mind because we only wanted to find out about the weather, but some would be bothered by this.

“Very good value for the money. Very clean room, nice furnishings, and a spotless bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! My kids loved the waffle maker and many other breakfast choices. We were traveling with 2 dogs and the hotel is very pet-friendly. We will definitely stay here again. We were very pleased overall.”

• Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Had some trouble with plumbing, but was taken care of in timely manner.
• Bathrooms could have been more updated and better working.

“Hotel was very clean, very quiet, probably the quietest I have ever been in. Needs attention to the bathroom area. Sink drain did open completely and water would not drain. Bathtub faucet was not working well, however staff took care of the problem very quickly.”

• Could not work the hot water in the bath tub.

“They put me in a room that they knew the hot water in the bathtub would not turn on. So I could not take a shower that morning.”

• I enjoyed the privacy of the building and it's staff.
• The room was not as clean as it could have been.

“I was very pleased with the bed in this hotel and it was more comfortable than I thought that it would be. The staff was very polite and open to answering any questions that I had. I also enjoyed the location of the hotel as it was close to restaurants and gas stations.”

• Staff tried hard.
• Was not able to make it better.

“Had room by pool. But, sink had no stopper, mold in shower, hair all over floors, unusually musty A/C, beds worn out, internet spotty. Replacement room had a different set of problems. I would recommend this hotel to people who need to sleep but can not sleep in their car.”

• The location is great, the waffles are good.
• Very run down, room smelled musty, Motel 6 standard at best.

“Overall, this might still be a decent value for the price. However, this particular La Quinta is well below the average La Quinta standard. All rooms open to the outside more typical of the Motel 6 standard. The downstairs room had very musty smelling, the water pipes were noisy and the linens were threadbare. I would never stay at this particular one again. I am a frequent business traveler and typically stay at Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express- do yourself a favor and stay at one of those in this same area.”

• Just the location.
• The sheets and covers did not appear to be clean. Slept in my regular clothes because I was skeptical of the bedding accessories.

“It could have more improvement done as for as the cleanliness of the bedding. The toilet seems to want to back up periodically. But overall over I will just continue to stay at this hotel from now on.”

• Hotel was typical of motel 6 vice La Qunita.

“Hotel has seen better days and does not reflect the typical La Qunita standard. Room smelled musty, sheets and blanket were threadbare, shower plumbing was very loud when on hot. This was a motel 6 - Caliber motel.”

• We liked the breakfast, hot waffles.
• Clerk was unfriendly upon check in, tried to get us to sign for higher rate. Got upset when pointed this out.

• Nice bed, nice room, friendly service.
• No fan in bathroom.

“This La Quinta hotel is in a convenient location near UAH, research park, and Madison Square Mall. The room was nice and clean. There is a Denny's restaurant next door which is convenient for breakfast and several good restaurants within a few tenths of a mile. The desk clerk was efficient, helpful, and friendly.”

• They were more than willing to assist with my wife's diabetic needs.
• The internet was unreliable and slow, and the shower heads are only 5 feet high.

“For the price, a reasonably good stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The internet was slow and unreliable, and the shower heads are only 5 feet high (I'm 6'3", so it was uncomfortable for me). Location was pretty convenient.”

• I liked the fact that it was close to all of my destinations.
• I liked nothing but the location.

“Upon our arrival, the desk attendant came from the back with a mouthful of food and picking in her molars, which I thought was unprofessional. After checking in, we were informed that the water would be turned off for two hours. While attempting to get some rest from our travels, since bathroom privileges were suspended due to no water, we were awakened by pounding and a welder outside of the door. This went on for approximately two hours. This noise resumed early in the morning, accompanied by the raucous shouting of the workers. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my nemesis.”

“I found blood on the sheets of my bed and advised the clerks. The clerk said she would advise the manager to correct the problem. The manager said he would comp. the room, but didn't. I will be complaining to La Quinta Inn Corp. offices.”

“Stay away. The rooms and grounds are filthy. There is mold growing in the shower. The faucet handle in the shower was falling off. Many reasons to never stay here again.”

• Could not check in till 3pm. Very poor!

“Quiet and in a good location. Check in time is after 3pm. So if you had a long drive you will have to wait for your room. They offered wireless internet connection but it was crappy. Overall comfortable.”

“The room was comfortable and well-located. The only problem we had was with the cleaning staff. The would take our towels (whether or not they were hanging) and not replace them. They didn't replace the plastic cups in the room. They left trash in the cans. Besides the minor inconveniences, the room was okay.”

• Hotel takes pets and I travel with my completely blind cat everywhere I go. We've stayed here at least 4 times.
• TV only had a few channels - I miss my food network.

“Great place for friends and families with pets. Nice size pool. Enjoyed the continental breakfast. Centrally located. I love it. This time I had to visit Huntsville on a bereavement so it wasn't a fun trip and I had to make plans for 2 nights quickly which was not a problem for LaQuinta.”

• Nothing this was the worst place I have ever stayed.
• Too much to say in 20 words.

“I was suppose to have a roll away bed. They did not have one. It was ordered same day I made the reservations. When they did bring me one at 11:30 at night after driving 12 hours, it was broken. My son had to sleep in a hole. The toilet did not work, the heat did not work, they gave us two towels for three people. At three AM there was a fight out side. It was horrible!”

• Linens had smoke burns in non smoking room not clean.

“The first room I was directed to was not cleaned from prior occupant. The second room was not vacuumed nor the used soap removed. Linens and blankets had holes. Specific attention needed to be paid to customer service, Minot repairs, cleanliness, attractiveness, etc.”

• Convenient location.
• Rooms were dirty. pool was cloudy. laundry room trash overflowing.

“This hotel was not as I had hoped for. The rooms were dirty and I left daily notes for housekeeping that were ignored. The pool was so dirty that my kids wouldn't swim in it. The trash was overflowing in the laundry room for 4 days.”

• We loved the pool and the cleanliness of the hotel.
• Web-site said waffles for continental breakfast - they were frozen.

“All in all, we had a great stay. I recommend the hotel take the fresh waffles indicator off their web-site. I was disappointed in only that.”

• This hotel had a wonderful continental breakfast and printed out directions for me to take to get to the place I was going to.
• The beds where too close to the ground.

“This hotel had good sized clean rooms and plenty of free parking. There is a pool and Denny's restaurant on the property. The lobby is spacious with tables for their continental breakfast and is no smoking. It is easy to locate.”

• Well kept clean rooms, friendly efficient staff.
• The fitted sheets were worn and kept coming off the corners of the beds (both nights).

“Excellent. I'll likely try to stay there again. One request - I was telephoned Sun 8:30 am to find out if I was checking out that day. The phone call awoke me about an hour before I had set alarm to get up. I understand the desk staff's "need to know for sure" that I was leaving, but would prefer a different method, e.g. the phone message light on the night before to please contact the desk, etc.”

• Convenient to where we needed to be and to local shopping.
• Needs update, poor beds, bedding stained & did not fit beds. Inconsiderate of guests.

“We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights and 1 room for 2 nights. Shortly after checking in, one group was asked to leave the room so the hotel could shampoo the carpets! After hours on the road, we needed the rest. We found bugs, ill fitting sheets and mattress pads, not to mention the stains found on the sheets. Bed skirts were ripped and looked very unprofessional. Beds very uncomfortable in the handicapped room. People were throwing items from balcony above onto cars & sidewalk below. Batteries did not work in TV remote. We did not use the breakfast offered so can offer no info there. Would change hotel to a 1/2 or 1 star. Overall...not very satisfied with this visit. Had stayed in same motel about 18 months prior...did not have problems at that time.”
