“They gave me a room with one standard size bed with a pullout sofa. I have to go back to the front desk to request for a King and got it.”

• Bar does not open until 4:00 in the afternoon.

“Conveniently located near "The Summit" shopping area and many fine restaurants. Also, quick ride in to the city. Excellent location for a "get-away" weekend.”

• Pool rope crisis.

“Hotel manager seemed excessively excited about a pool rope out of place. Announced that all guests would have to clear the pool while rope reinstalled. Later that evening, saw all guests completely leaving pool area while manager and maintenance man were back working on the pool rope. It became the running joke of our visit.”

• We have stayed here several times and enjoy it every time. The beds are great!
• Just needs a fridge in the room.

• Hwy. 280 has a lot of traffic, but the hotel is worth it.

• Friendly and accommodating staff. Spotless and good location.
• Ticking noise in the air conditioning system was a bit bothersome.

“Prompt and friendly service as we entered the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and even offered to drive us to our dinner location. The rooms were very clean. If we had been staying any longer we would have had the room changed or air conditioning checked because the ticking sound did bother us during the night.”

• No microwave! No fridge! No continental breakfast!

“Nice bed. Comfortable. However, no fridge! No microwave! No Continental breakfast! Room service expensive! Not even a minibar or snack machine! You have to pay for internet access! No covered parking ! Not what I expected from the Hilton. I stay in this area on a regular basis and will not stay here again!”

“Internet service was pricey and local phone calls cost. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The bed was super comfortable and I slept wonderful. Very close to good restaurants and lots of shopping.”

• Evelyn & Crabtree products in the bathroom were above and beyond!
• Everything was excellent!

“Excellent bed and pillows as good as my 100% down that I travel with! The room was spotless and the bathroom products and coffee were outstanding. I will stay there again! Staff was quick to check us in.”

• Room was large, well appointed and very clean.
• We were there only one night. Did not find anything negative.

“The bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows and spread, carpet was clean, room smell nice and had a good view. Hotel is off the beaten path and very quiet, but close to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.”

“This hotel is situated in a very lovely part of Birmingham with great shopping very close by. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier and the rooms were very clean. The beds at Hiltons have always been a plus for us as they are extremely comfortable.”

• King bed & sleeper sofa promised but no sleeper - and no rollaway available.

“The Birmingham Perimeter Park is very convenient to I-459 and the Summit. The Hotel has been updated recently enough and warrants more than its 2.5* rating. The hotel has a decent pool and a typically small exercise facility and a nice on site restaurant. Overall, it's a great value.”

“The front desk staff were all very friendly - which is always a good start! The room was very comfortable - but would like a little more variety in the TV stations. The breakfast buffet was about average. The dinner room service was poor - overcooked, rude service.”

• I loved the staff and the atmosphere of the hotel.
• The charges for internet and telephone.

“I loved my stay here. I was quite impressed with the quality for the price I paid. The only problem I had was that I had to pay for internet usage as well as phone calls even local ones, but I am sure more business travelers stay here so that is how they make their money. The staff was superb, from the bellman, to the front desk staff, bartender, to the room service. I will definitely recommend to anyone to stay here. ”

“My overall stay with the Hilton Birmingham was great. I loved the location of the hotel. It may be half a mile from the interstate. It is surrounded by restaurants and they had excellent room service. Also the bar area was really nice. I will stay there again.”

• It had everything I needed to make my convention stay possible.
• It was an older styled hotel.

“The Hilton was an older style hotel but was updated inside with a very nice restaurant. The rooms were clean, roomy, and attractive. The pool was lovely and surrounded by vegetation. It was close to everything, right off the perimeter freeway #459. I would definately stay there again.”

• Very friendly staff, perfect ac unit(not loud), clean, and great price
• There wasnt a table to eat at so one of us had to hold our plate, and the other ate at the computer desk, and thin walls
