• Clean! Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff! Greaaat value.

“The old Sheraton with a makeover. Nice facility. Rooms a little small, but okay. Clean. Staff was fiendly and welcomed/spoke to us everytime they saw us. This was a really good value for the price. I'll go back there again. The only negative-as it turns out, I could have used more rooms When I couldn't book them at other than rack rate (even through priceline), the rest of the family opted out.”

• Very pleasant staff upgraded my room to a king.

“Very clean, very comfortable hotel. The staff was so pleasant, when we were checking they asked why we were visiting Birmingham, if it was our first time to the city, etc. When the concierge noticed we were booked in a room with double beds, he immediately switched it to a room with a king bed at no extra charge.”

“I was very disappointed in this hotel. The first night stay was good but the second was an adventure. When I returned to the hotel after my meetings, the management team had taken it upon themselves to check me out of my room. They then proceeded to move me to 4 other rooms before they finally found one that was suitable. I was traveling for work but brought my wife and 11 week old infant. The rooms that they moved me to were non smoking rooms but reeked of smoke. Needless to say I was perturbed at the very least and very disappointed in the way they handled me.”

• The TV did not work & was report after checking in. Someone came to the room to fix it but did not. Was not replace in another room.

“When I first checked in the AC was not working in the room. After they had tried to fix it and could not they upgraded me to a nicer room. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

• We enjoyed the restaurant and the exercise room.
• There is nothing we did not like.

“This is a great place for a leisurely getaway or for business travel. The rooms are spacious, and there is a small exercise room, which is open all the time. The restaurant served great food and was open for evening snacks. I'd definitely recommend it.”

• Clean and great location. Resturants, bars, shopping centers close by too.
• Only problem was the ice machine on my floor was broken and had to go to another floor for ice.

• Great location and great staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
• The room had been renovated but still had stains on ceiling in room and bathroom.

“This hotel was close to many things in South Birmingham and not far from Downtown. The room was nice but in need of a few minor touch ups. The staff was great and was very friendly. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.”

• The lobby was the most attractive part of the hotel.
• The room was super small looks like it was a motel 6 converted to a Hilton.

“The outside was not the Hilton I was looking for. To me it was the Hilton for lower class people but when u pays 62 bucks for the Hilton I get what I paid for. The bathrooms were much too small. Had I been a large or oversized person I would have had trouble moving around in it. The toilet was 2 inches from the shower and the shower head would not move.”

• The bed was amazingly comfortable, the staff was wonderful.
• Having to pay 10 dollars a day for internet, and the bathroom was very cramped.

“The property is conveniently located right off of I-459, and close to shops and restaurants. The hotel staff greeted me warmly, and offered to park my car, and grab my luggage for me immediately upon arrival. They were very friendly, and made every effort to make staying here pleasant. The rooms were very comfortable, and clean. The beds at this hotel were fantastic, like sleeping on a cloud! The bathroom was a bit cramped, though, offering only minimal counter space to store my sundries. Hot water was instant, and water pressure was good. I had a smoking room (by choice), and yet the air was fresh upon arrival, with no stale smell you might expect at another hotel. The internet was pretty fast, and reliable, although it did cost $9.95 per day. It's not terribly unusual to have to pay for internet at a nicer hotel, but considering the fact that even 1 star hotels have free internet, it does reflect negatively in my opinion (as it would at any other hotel also). That being said, all in all the hotel was great, from service to attractiveness, and especially comfort.”

• Friendly and appreciative staff - warm greetings.
• Beds could be a little firmer.

“Having traveled in our blue jeans and casual, we expect not to be greeted as when we are in our business attire. However the bell captain immediately made us feel so welcome, and he was so personable and escorted us to the floor, and pointed out that the hotel had food until the certain times, but also alerted us to other restaurants if we had that need. He particularly made our trip, and other hotel staff was extremely friendly as well. Cleanliness you could tell in every part of the room and hotel. We will stay at this hotel again in the future.”

• Easy to find and got quick service at the front desk.
• The rooms were hot and we had our air turned down on low.

“Overall, it was good. We were in town for a ball tournament and came in last at night and left the next day early. The only thing is we wanted room service about 10:30 p.m. and couldn't find a menu in the room. I called the first desk and no one answered.”

• Outside pool was closed for an unknown reason.

“The hotel staff was friendly, the food in the in-house restaurant was good. The room was clean and comfortable. This would be a good place to stay for the business traveler. The pool was outdoors which disappointed my son because after being closed for a day the following day it rained and he couldn't swim.”

“Hotel manager seemed excessively excited about a pool rope out of place. Announced that all guests would have to clear the pool while rope reinstalled. Later that evening, saw all guests completely leaving pool area while manager and maintenance man were back working on the pool rope. It became the running joke of our visit.”

• Ticking noise in the air conditioning system was a bit bothersome.

“Prompt and friendly service as we entered the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and even offered to drive us to our dinner location. The rooms were very clean. If we had been staying any longer we would have had the room changed or air conditioning checked because the ticking sound did bother us during the night.”
