• Central location, close to good restaurants and near medical school.

• Nice older hotel with a newly renovated retro look.
• Very close quarters in Public areas of hotel (not rooms).

“Great hotel with access to Five Points in Birminham. A lot of dinning and entertainment within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

• The boutique type hotel was an excellent experience. I have not stayed in a hotel of this type before and was pleasantly surprised. Very romantic.
• Neighborhood was questionable at night, then again I am from a small town.

“Loved it. We plan on taking our teenage children back to this hotel. They would love the decor and fun atmosphere.”

• Staff exhibited a great deal of pride and ownership. Great decor.
• Location. I'm not sure I would want to explore the area on foot.

• Parking was difficult to find.

“We were graciously upgraded to a much nicer room. It was a beautiful place and located right where we needed to be, near the UAB Medical district.”

• The room decor is fun, modern and clean.
• You have to pay to park when entering the deck and you also have to deposit a token or $ to exit. Entrance between parking and hotel is a bit scary.

“I really liked the hotel decor and the room was very clean. The front desk staff seemed harried, the phone ringing, computer was not working correctly and a line started behind us. The area has experienced some crime lately, there were plenty of police around and we didn't experience any problems but it is in a city environment and I wouldn't recommend the hotel for children/families. I would stay there again, but caution should be used for personal safety.”

• Location was great and room was above average.
• Main light in bathroom was out and the hot water was sub-par!

“Hotel was unique and very enjoyable stay, except for the fact that the bathroom light was out and the hot water almost went to nothing while taking a shower. Convenience was great, with restaurants within walking distance and easy access to public parking.”

• Great location in 5 points, beautiful boutique style hotel.
• Area full of things to do, but also full of vagrants that will beg for money.

“Great modern boutique style hotel is the 5 points area of Bimingham. Great value for the price and near a ton of things to do. Just be careful if you are out after dark. There are a lot of people around that are not shy about asking for money.”

• Friendly and helpful staff.
• Didn't vacuum and clean bathroom well on 2nd night.

“The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The staff and accommodations were wonderful. The decor is modern and very beautifully done. The full breakfast was a delight. They even had a cappuccino and late machine. It is a first class hotel. The restaurants nearby are very good.”

• 20th St. noisy on weekends, parking expensive.

“Nicely updated reno of former Pickwick Hotel. More stylish now with Mod martini bar and designs. Perfectly located at heart of Five Points district.”

• The decor and vibe of the place was fantastic.
• Martini bar wasn't ready for business yet.

“One of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed at! the contemporary decor was great, the rooms ere comfy and cozy, and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
A great place to stay!”

• Weekends the street is closed off.

“Gorgeous, hip remodal. Some things were not finished yet as in business center, bar. Once they get that done it will be great. parking, is expensive and the valet should tell you that there is an option to park yourself and not pay their fee. Staff wonderful.”

• Great location, great decor, friendly staff.
• New owner did not have liquor license therefore the martini bar was not open

“Enjoyed our stay. Nicely renovated. Staff was very helpful. Great location near great restaurants and nightlife. Check out Ona's Music Room for good jazz & blues. Birmmingham needs to get rid or the panhandlers on the street. If the Churchs stop feeding the pigeons they will go away.”

• It was just what we wanted, a hotel with an inn atmosphere. The hotel was well maintained and secure.
• When we went to check out our price confirmation had not been forwarded to the hotel.
