• The jacuzzi was too cold to swim in the outdoor pool.

• Good location. Free internet. Free coffee in lobby.

“Great location close to freeways, restaurants and stores including the Galleria, but not noisy. Rooms are a good size and well-maintained. Staff very friendly and competent. Overall an excellent experience.”

• Next to the Galleria and Stardome.
• Hot tubs very crowded, room was small.

“Hotel had a great location. Perfect for a shopping weekend. Pool looked nice, but did not get in. Attempted to get in the hot tub, but was always very crowded and they close everything at 11:00.”

• The hotel was located in a great area.
• Toliet kept clogging, and
  TV was placed to the side not in front.

“The hotel was in good condition. The lobby was really nice, and the rooms were clean. Our clock was not the correct time, and the alarm went off at 5:00AM. The toilet kept getting clogged and the TV was in an awkward place. It wasn't in front of the bed but to the side and very uncomfortable to watch a program.”

• Good, clean comfortable rooms.
• Noisy guests slammed doors and talked loud late at night.

“We arrived and check in was quick and easy, no waiting. Our room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The shower had very good water pressure which is always a plus. We used the whirlpool which was nicely maintained. The hotel had a very nice exercise room as well. We did not eat at the hotel. The morning breakfast buffet was over priced at $10.95 a person. This is a hotel and not a restaurant so charging over $10.00 for breakfast makes no sense to me. There were some rude guests in our hallway and they were up late, running in the halls, slamming doors and talking loud. The hotel should have a notice for quiet time posted in the lobby and all the rooms. The hotel should monitor the hallways and guests to ensure that quiet time is observed at night so other guests can relax and rest.”

• They had no idea who was staying where and what rooms provided.

“My first room had no air/fan working, so I was given another room with apologizes for it being a handicapped room. Fine, but with guilt, I accepted as I am not handicapped however it was really late then. Found out that the room actually was occupied after my new door card opened it. Took my luggage back again to front desk and yet again was given another room (third one now) and again.”

• The staff was great, location great.
• Air conditioning in our room never got the room cool.

“I have stayed in this hotel before and it is a good hotel. It is clean, the staff is friendly. The only problem we had was with the air on 65 we had to sleep with no cover to be able to stay cool. I think we just had a bad room.”

• Swimming pool too small, no continental breakfast.

“Beds were really good, sleeping was no problem. Check in was great, the young man worked great, getting the rooms we needed. Hotel was clean but was a great 3 star, but nothing more, good area of town felt safe.”

• Not quite as nice as other 2 / 2.5 star hotels I've stayed in.

“No frills, not very attractive, not in an exciting area, but affordable, clean, friendly, and reasonably comfortable. Reasonable deal for what it costs, but I've stayed in other similarly-priced hotels that I liked more. I wouldn't be upset about staying there again, even though it wouldn't be my first choice.”

• Cleaning staff was extremely slow. We had to leave the room 3 times thinking they were cleaning.

• It was a convenient location to food and shops.
• The bath tub was filthy; there was an actual ring around it. I brought my own cleaner and scrubbed it myself.

“The hotel was nice overall. My sliding glass door handle was falling off and needed to be replaced. Considering I was on the ground floor I would have been very paranoid had I been alone and in a lesser neighborhood. The doors slam all day and night and shake the rooms. There was nothing in the hotels guest booklet that remotely mentioned dining in the area or who may deliver. Were it not for the fact that I live in Birmingham I would not have known what was around to eat other than the restaurant that was next door. The desk staff had a rather cool disposition. Not exactly friendly but not overtly rude either. I never encountered the housekeeping staff as they had already proven they did not know how to clean sufficiently I kept the privacy sign on the door when I thought they would be coming around. The room served its purpose which was to allow for recoup time to sleep and rest. The new "luxury" bedding was oking, not that luxurious though. And the bed itself left you me feeling stiff and beat up in the mornings.”

• Very clean.
• Air conditioner cut on and off the whole night which made for a sleepless night.

“Great location and friendly and clean. But if you can't sleep due to air conditioner turning on and off, your stay is pretty awful if you count on sleeping. I did let the front desk know about this problem when I checked out (I only stayed one night.) and they said they had received complaints about it. They would try to send a maintenance person to look into the problem. I do not plan to stay here again.”

• The bed was comfortable enough.
• There was only one elevator for the entire hotel. Way out of the way. The coffee pot was strange.

“Great location, the beds were comfortable and the location was excellent for what my daughter and need. We now prefer this hotel over the one around the corner. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast. Maybe next time”

• Breakfast not included, cost me $21 for my son and I to eat there.

“Overall, this hotel is clean and has fairly easy access to I65. There was a nice Bar-B-Q restaurant next door, so we didn't have to do more driving for dinner. Room we were in had comfortable mattresses and was nicely furnished. They had a little problem with a water leak in their ice-maker on our floor, but were quick to clean it up. Under-staffed during breakfast time (not expecting a rush of people), but hot buffet was good even though it wasn't free.”

• It was a very nice room.
• I had trouble checking in and ended up having to print out my itinerary for proof.

“I was very displeased with this hotel. I am a smoker and it did not say anywhere before making the reservation that this is a 100% smoke free hotel so it kind of made it inconvenient to me. Also I had trouble checking in and ended up having to print out my itinerary that proved I had already purchased and paid for the room once I got there. I would not want to go back to this hotel to stay again.”

• The decor was current and the bed was comfortable, nice and safe atmosphere.
• There were a few hairs on the bathroom floor. I am very picky for cleanliness.

“Over all the stay was very nice. I was very pleased with the price that we got it for. I would hope that we could stay at a courtyard Marriott every time for the same price.”

• Clean and high speed plug in.
• Room much smaller than other 2 1/2 star hotels ¿ amerisuites.

“The courtyard room does not compare in any way to an amerisuites room and they are both 2 1/2 stars. Amerisuites has 2 queen beds, pull out couch, kitchenette and free continental breakfast. Courtyard has king, pull out couch, no kitchenette and no free continental breakfast. In fact, continental breakfast is an additional 10.00. Courtyard is certainly a fine hotel - it is just not the same as amerisuites. You have got to find a way to differentiate between the two.”
