• Nice furnishings, beautiful decor and landscaping.
• The view from our room was a cement wall.

• Excellent on-site restaurant and pub.
• Mattress and pillows were marginal, room showed hasty cleaning.

“This hotel has good bones with above average food and pub and beautiful interior design work in lobby/pub. My very quiet room had a digital thermometer that was a delight to use and kept the room comfortable! After experiencing a real thermostat, I have to wonder why any hotel still has old-fashioned numbered dials on the heating unit. The bedding was OK, pillows were only average although plentiful. The mattress was below average and left my back hurting enough by the middle of my sleep cycle to wake me. The room smelled clean but an empty chip bag under the phone stand as well as a toilet bowl that wasn't even close to clean left me with mixed feelings.”

• It seemed be well-maintained and up-to-date.

“Even though I was given a room that is probably less than desirable, I found it to be very comfortable and very quiet, although it was right next to the elevator and had no bathtub. I didn't see much of the hotel, but it was beautifully decorated. I did not like that I had to go on a hunt for ice, over several floors before I found one, and then had to find one that worked. The bed and pillows were some of the best I've had.”

• The lobby was very nice and inviting, a good first impression.
• The stools were to industrial.

“We were in the area for a funeral and this was a nice place to go to help unwind and relax.”

• The girl at front desk helped me get a parking spot.
• Horrible pillows, not enough parking.

“I did not like this hotel at all. I felt like I was walking distance to restaurants and shopping but nothing was opened. I was worried about the safety of my car. I waited 45 minutes for someone to leave so, I could get a parking spot and was told that, I could park on the street but had to get up early in the morning to move it so I didn't get a ticket.”

• The food at Sarge Oaks was wonderful and affordable!
• Only stayed one night hard to say.

“Very comfortable, clean and easily accessible to Downtown Lafayette. The restaurant Sarge Oaks had excellent food at an affordable price. I would definitely stay there again.”
